Local restaurant literally down the street from my home. One of the better Mexican restaurants here in Indio. Great service and great servers. I will definitely be back to this place. Every plate I've had has been delicious

Allende is my favorite Mexican spot in my area. The food is always delicious and service is always great! The chips and salsa are so yummy before your meal arrives. Usually start off with the chiles güeritos, they have the right amount of spicy kick the cheese and shrimp are the right amount & go so well with the chipotle sauce & soy sauce it comes with. My go to is always the Alpastor tacos! they are so well seasoned and meat is perfectly cooked! The customer service by all the servers and workers is always amazing. We are regulars here so it's nice to be recognized. But even if you are not a regular the staff is friendly to all customers. If you are in the area, you have to try this spot. It has gotten some upgrades in the recent years and they now have a little bar you can sit and eat. Come to Allende restaurant for good authentic Mexican food! :)

We live down the street so we come here often. Never anytime less than the best. One of my favorites is the shrimp enchiladas or the shrimp cocktail. We also ordered the queso fundio which was DELICIOUS! It was my husband's first time trying that appetizer. We usually like to switch it up every time we go so that we are trying different things on the menu. This is usually our go to when it comes to family dinner or just a date night with just my husband and I. We have been coming here for over 10 years. They serve some of the most authentic Mexican cuisines out here in the valley. It is a nice spot for breakfast, brunch, or dinner.

    Guerritos.

Stopped by for the Guerritos. They were soaking in grease. I mentioned it to the waitress and she said maybe they put lemon on it. No. They don't put anything on them. I squeezed out about a quarter cup of grease. Not happy. This was Wednesday at lunch time.

My coworkers recommended this place, so I decided to check it out. Waitress was nice. I was served tortilla chips with salsa to start. Quite spicy... The carne asada taco was okay, but I felt like it was missing something, maybe seasoning or sauce to add. The al pastor taco was packed with flavor and tasted good! I just wish the flour tortillas were heated a little bit 'cause it was dry. The best item was the chicken enchilada. Just the right amount of cheese and sauce, soft and delicious.

Off the beaten path, yes it is. I didn't want to go through drive through and I was craving for Mexican food. With my trust Yelp, was able to find this place on our drive back from Arizona to Cali. Well, I'll admit I was hangry. Got to the restaurant and was pleasantly surprised. Nothing fancy on the outside, but remember you can't judge a book by its cover. I had the carnitas plate and my boyfriend had the fajitas. The server was accommodating and the prices are pretty decent. The food portions are awesome, yes it's a lot so bring your appetite.

You can always get a decent meal here. Had a Chavela today that wasn't good. It tasted like someone squeezed an entire lemon in there because that's all I could taste. I'll stick with agua frescas next time!

My most favorite Mexican restaurant in the Coachella Valley. Everything I've eaten there is delicious, the rice & beans are the best.

We discovered…read moreOceana Restaurant on the Greater Palm Springs Restaurant Week website -- the Pulpo Chicharrones caught our eye -- so we decided to check it out. Thank goodness we did. Our group started out with the above mentioned Pulpo Chicharrones. Crispy Octopus bites served with fresh pico de gallo, guacamole, and flour tortilla chips. The octopus had a charred crispy exterior that gave way to a buttery-tender interior. None of the rubbery texture that so often turns people off. For entrees, we selected the Whole Fried Huachinango (Red Snapper), 7 Oceanas (think "Spanish Chioppino"), and Pan Seared Halibut which was the special of the day. The halibut special featured a very generous pan seared filet on a bed of white wine risotto with a sesame seed veloute and asparagus. The 7 Oceanas consisted of perfectly cooked octopus, white fish, clams, mussels, shrimp, salmon, and scallop in a rich broth with tomato, onion, garlic, smoked paprika, oregano, and guajillo peppers. Served with housemade telera bread sticks to sop up the amazing broth. The snapper was deep fried to perfection leaving the skin super crispy and fleah moist and flaky. Drizzled with an adobo sauce and served with grilled sliced lemons, chayote squash and baby potatoes. Our only complaint was the snapper was not true red snapper as advertised, but rather porgy (we think). Red snapper is one of the most substituted fish and very few people in the world could tell them apart. My partner Ernie is a connoisseur, and he can. The dish was still excellent, we just wish it wasn't advertised as Huachinango. This hidden gem delivered fresh seafood, tasty cocktails with a nod to tequila and mezcal drinks crafted by owner Marco Castellanos, and friendly attentive service from Gina.

I ordered the 8 oz filet mignon with a baked potato and asparagus, and it was excellent. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and exactly what you want from a proper steakhouse experience. My friend had the lamb chops and oysters Rockefeller and couldn't stop talking about how good both were. That alone says a lot. The ambiance is polished but comfortable, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. Even the small details stood out. They filter their water, and you can actually taste the difference, which is rare and says something about how much they care about the overall experience. There's clearly a level of consistency and quality here that's hard to find. This easily earns a spot on my top 10 list in the Coachella Valley.

The prawns were pretty large. The pasta was a little too al dente for me and the sauce had a very strong wine taste that got old pretty quickly. I erroneously assumed spaghetti flavored with garlic, white wine, butter, herbs, & preserved lemon would be delicious. Large, tough (& again, tasteless) prawns topped the bowl of noodles that seem to stick together from a lack of sauce. Our gracious waitress removed the dish from our bill after seeing it had barely been touched. Her efforts did not go unnoticed; we generously tipped her for taking the initiative to rectify an unsatisfactory situation. We sat on the covered patio facing the giant rock formation; a unique dining experience, but one that felt Disney-ish rather than elegant. La Quinta Cliffhouse gets a hard pass from me.
