As I was getting ready to walk in about 20 minutes prior to my appointment, an employee called to ask if I was still coming. I told her I was in the lot and getting ready to walk in. The clerk that checked me in was pleasant. The nurse that did my initial intake was friendly and helpful. The lab tech was also kind and helpful. My new doctor was kind and listened to my concerns. She asked questions to make sure that she understood everything that was documented. I'm looking forward to future visits at this office.

I am now physically injured, emotionally shaken, and walking around with my arm looking like I have track marks -- all because of the incompetence and unprofessionalism of their staff. I arrived for my scheduled blood draw at 8:35 a.m. and was left sitting for nearly ten minutes with no communication. When I knocked on the lab door, I found the lab worker FaceTiming her boyfriend while on the clock. She admitted she was on FaceTime. When I asked why she was on a personal call instead of doing her job, she told me I would not be getting my blood drawn and instructed me to leave the building. Two non‑lab employees were then sent to draw my blood. They were not trained for that job, and as a result, they did not collect the correct vials or the right number of vials needed for my pre‑operative testing. This mistake has now delayed two medically necessary surgeries by at least another week. I am sick, vomiting, and dealing with severe reflux -- and this delay is directly due to their failure. Later that evening, the doctor called me. She did not apologize, did not ask how I was, and did not acknowledge the trauma of the morning. Instead, she attempted to reprimand me -- until I refused to allow it. The only reason I wasn't retraumatized a second time was because I stopped her from talking down to me. I had to ask her three separate times what was wrong with my blood work before she finally admitted the truth: the two employees she sent weren't responsible for that job and didn't know which tubes were required. This morning, my arm looks bruised, swollen, and discolored, with visible marks that resemble track marks. I will have to walk around like this for the next week and a half because of their negligence. I am escalating this situation as high as I possibly can -- because no patient should ever be treated this way, ignored, lied to, or physically harmed by untrained staff. Attached is a photo of my arm taken this morning. It shows the physical evidence of what happens when a medical facility allows unqualified employees to perform procedures they are not trained for. I called the office and left a message about how I was feeling and within 5 minutes my phone rang. MY PHONE RANG!@!! It was Dr. Tang, the best MD on the planet. I had an appointment the next day and she tweaked a med and now I am fine. This wasn't the first time she called me over something. Once she called me on her way home from her car and she sat in her garage for 5 minutes until we finished!. Okay, people, when is the last time you had a doctor call you at home?????? WHEN??? I have no idea if she is accepting new patients but if you are looking for a practitioner, ask if there is a waiting list and GET ON IT!!

Unfortunately, the billing department provides poor service. I have twice been charged during a well visit for services that have been previously mentioned in other appointments. When I spoke to the billing department they said that I could not discuss anything that was a new illness during a well check up. I told them that I did not do this and they said that I must have brought up things other than what was allowed during my well checkup. I called Blue Cross and they told me that the office was improperly coding the visit and this should not have occurred. I will not be going to Village Family Care anymore or any Novant affiliated office.

I can't comment on the quality of care that may or may not be provided by the team at this office once you are an established patient. My rating is based solely on the practice having a policy that limits patient access to healthcare.

When my 3-year-old was diagnosed with a very rare genetic disorder, the Capitol Pediatrics team jumped into action and learned all about it. Dr. Morgan has been a saint through this. Rebecca, Jenny, and the entire nursing staff are the kindest, most caring people. I know they give the same treatment they would with their own. And finally, I give Rebecca, the lactation consultant, all the credit for me finally having a successful nursing journey with my youngest.
