On Thursday we heard that Steinway was out of stock and that the part would come in from maspeth. The part never came. A phone call by the mechanic was placed in front of me on Friday and we were told the same thing, that it was coming from maspeth. I called for myself to explain the issue and was told there would be an email being sent out and that I would get a phone call the following morning. Instead I had to call, and I spoke to someone. Only for them to tell me they don't have the part and would have to order it from North Carolina. Thanks guys. Not.

I paid for a tune-up and specifically asked the staff to check all fluids and make sure everything was in good condition. I was assured that everything, including the transmission, had been checked and was fine. Less than a week later, my transmission began slipping and struggling to go into gear. I had an independent mechanic inspect the vehicle, and he discovered that the transmission fluid was extremely low or effectively empty. We attempted to refill it and see if the transmission could be saved, but the damage had already been done. I was ultimately facing a repair estimate of roughly $5,000 and ended up junking the vehicle and purchasing another car. To this day, I cannot understand how I was told the transmission was checked and in good condition when I experienced such a catastrophic failure immediately afterward. Unfortunately, this was not the only issue I experienced. On another visit, I was told my vehicle was ready for pickup. When I arrived, I was then asked to wait because the oil service had not actually been completed. I watched the technician finish adding oil after I had already arrived to collect what I had been told was a completed vehicle. I also had to return because a plastic component was left in my back seat after service and had not been reinstalled. One mistake can happen anywhere. Multiple incidents involving quality control, communication, and attention to detail are much harder to overlook. The financial impact of these experiences was significant, and I have never felt that anyone took responsibility or provided a satisfactory explanation. Based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this shop and would strongly encourage customers to seek a second opinion on any major service recommendations or inspections. This review reflects my honest experience as a paying customer. Junior, Ryan, and Shanice, I am deeply disappointed in all of you. The consequences of what happened cost me thousands of dollars and left me paying for a replacement vehicle. My vehicle was declared a total loss. Despite this, I was charged indoor storage fees, however the vehicle was parked on a public street, not stored inside the facility. I have photos and videos documenting where the vehicle was kept. When the insurance adjuster inspected the vehicle on site, the car was visibly parked in public street parking. The shop, through Jennifer (supposed owner) and Anthony, nevertheless represented to the adjuster that indoor storage charges applied, despite the vehicle not being stored indoors at the time. I was also charged a fee for dollies, even though no dollies were used 1. It's a AWD 2. It was missing a tire ! The vehicle was towed by the shop using a Chevy pickup truck, and no dolly equipment was attached or utilized during the tow. Additionally, I was charged a fee for removing license plates, even though the plates were still on the vehicle. According to the shop, this was required to prevent tickets, even though the vehicle should have been stored indoors, where plate removal would not have been necessary. Over time, the shop added multiple fees that did not reflect actual services rendered, vehicle remained at the shop for over a month. The image attached to this review reflects only a portion of the charges; the total charges ultimately increased to over $9,000. I sent multiple emails, and my insurance company also contacted them, but we never received a response. Statements regarding insurance and payment responsibility were also made but were not reflected in the final outcome. This review is intended to inform others: if you are in an accident or have a totaled vehicle, be cautious when using this shop. Ensure all charges and services are documented in writing and carefully monitor the handling of your vehicle. I mentioned that the system had pressure, but no one explained that a recharge wouldn't help if the compressor wasn't working. As a customer, I didn't know the compressor status -- that's what I expected them to diagnose first. After taking payment and completing the recharge (which didn't solve the problem), they told me I had a refrigerant leak. But how was that diagnosed? With the compressor not engaging, there was no circulation, no dye test, no vacuum hold -- just a guess after the fact. They later explained that the recharge was done "to see if the compressor would engage" -- but I had already told them there was pressure in the system. Skipping basic electrical tests and charging for a recharge first is not professional diagnosis. What I received was uninformed consent: I agreed to a recharge without being told it was unlikely to help unless the compressor was working. As a customer, I relied on their expertise to guide the process -- but they failed to explain this critical limitation. I wasn't given a service report or receipt during the visit -- both were sent the next day, after I posted a review. Their mention of a refrigerant leak was never documented, and no leak detection tests were performed. It felt like an after-the-fact explanation when the recharge didn't solve the problem. Their process seems designed to create more work (and more charges) instead of solving the actual problem from the start. Rather than diagnose the issue first, they sold a service that couldn't fix the underlying fault -- leading to more expensive steps later. Professional mechanics explain what they are doing and why. In this case, I paid for a service that couldn't address the actual issue, and was told I'd need to pay again for proper diagnostics.
