Alert! This is the most dishonest company that I have ever worked with! For the health of your family, NEVER, NEVER hire them. In fact, I didn't hire them, my insurance company "Mercury" hired them. The first time they came to my house on 3/19/2014, they cut out approx 10 s/f asbestos drywall in the entry way and kitchen. They declared 25 s/f to my insurance and asked for a price of $1300. The worst thing is after the job, they even didn't cover the opened drywall. Because of their negligence, my girlfriend's 3 year old daughter got sick after one week's exposure to hazardous air from inside the drywall. She got a fever of over 102 and we had to send her to ER to lower down her fever in the early morning 12:00 Am. It took us three hours to staying inside the ER room waiting for the result of the X-RAY and other tests. The doctor told us she was infected by bacteria inside the house. The next day, I got sick too. I have the similar symptoms like coughing, sneezing and low fever. I had to see my family doctor the next Monday to get antibiotics to cure my coughing and fever. More despicable thing was they set up another appointment for 4/1/2014, but they never showed up. I called them many times until I get the project manager named Mark. He said he need wait for the air quality report to schedule an onsite service because they couldn't send their workers to my house without knowing the air inside my house is healthy or not to their employees. What a ridiculious respond, it was them who opened my drywall and release those bad air inside my house. Till today, 4/3/2014, they still didn't schedule the job for me. I will call Mercury and asked them change this serving company to another one, I really can't tolerate them anymore. If you will pay your hard money to hire this company, watch out! We had a plumbing issue that required lead abatement in our bathroom ceramic tile. Alliance was onsite for the abatement immediately after the lead test came back positive and worked professionally and efficiently to remove the tile and insulate our living area from any possible contamination. Needless to say i too delt with this Mike kupke guy and got the same exact treatment! WOW!! I too was threatened with a lien via email? I dont get online daily specially since what happened... So i guess he thought i was giving him the cold shoulder but he had my cell number all along? The guys they sent took my baseboards witch were almost 4 inches above the ground and had nothing to do with what they were doing (removing floor mastic) and ruined my walls at a repair cost of $600+ baseboards at$ 500=$1100 on top of there ridiculous fee of almost $5000! After letting Mike know and setteling the lien issue which was there mistake to begin with (4 signatures for the same job?) Mike offers $90 dollars! Mind you i had already advised on what i had been estimated.. I seriously think this company is fraud as another review stated. Terrible! Used Alliance for asbestos removal. They removed some asbestos but left asbestos in this same area....an area they knew that other contractors would be working on after abatement work. What a liability! I had to call another company to come in for second abatement work. Waste of time and money. Alliance's claim is that they did the work they were "contracted" for. Unfortunately, there is no way for me to know how much asbestos is behind the wall until AFTER the abatement work is started. Just wished Alliance had the common sense to inform me as the homeowner that they discovered additional asbestos in that same area they are working on so that I could have changed their work order/contract. They are competitively priced, but it's just not worth it. This experience ended up costing me a lot more time and money. read more

Alliance was prompt, fair-priced, and left a great result when we had them remove asbestos from our home. They said it would take up to two days and finished in one. I thought the most professional aspect was when they emailed me photos of the job site during the remediation (with all surfaces sealed and covered) and then finished photos as well. This is the worst company I have dealt with EVER. Their business office has no idea what they are doing. They billed our insurance carrier 6 weeks after the job, then tried to deposit a check they received without proper endorsements. They called the wrong number to contact us, despite being told exactly which number to call on multiple occasions. They send us an invoice in the mail, which I immediately contacted them about. They stated that they couldn't cash the check from the insurance carrier, since it was not endorsed. I told them to send me the check, and I would forward it to our bank for endorsement. The DAY I received the check, I sent it off to our bank. Two weeks later, we received a LIEN on our home from Alliance. Absolutely the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with. Alliance Environmental Group out of Sacramento restored our attic after smoke damage from the Kincade fire in Windsor. Jose Roman, and Luis arrived promptly, prior to the scheduled time, and screened off their work area with plastic sheeting from floor to ceiling, so as not to contaminate the rest of the house and garage; they wore protective gear at all times. Using huge hoses they vacuumed the old insulation out and thoroughly cleaned the attic area. Jose took before, during and after photos of the complete process. A separate hose blew in new insulation. It looked much better than the original job when the house was built. They hauled away huge bags of contaminated insulation. They left the property just as spotless as when they arrived (even swept a few leaves from the sidewalk). They were professional, polite, friendly and efficient. My review is for the heat treatment of a bed bug infestation. I researched the best way to get rid of bed bugs, and after I obtained three bids, I decided to go with Alliance. I found their printed prep sheet very clear and easy to follow. They conducted a home visit prior to the treatment, and helped me with what I needed to do to get ready for the day of the treatment. I have pets, so the heat treatment was a great option for me. I am very satisfied with their services, and most important it does work. No more bed bugs! read more

This business does a number of environmental clean up services, but this review is for their air duct and dryer vent cleaning. My wife wanted to get our air duct and dryer vents cleaned and so I looked on yelp, but unfortunately there are not any good services identified. As I looked into the industry, this industry seems to be dominated by low cost services, where people don't really do the job they are supposed to and try to sell you other things. I found this company advertising on goggle and so I figured I would give them a shot as they would do a number of other environmental clean up things in addition to just air duct and dryer vent cleaning. When Glen and Robert came they did an incredible though job, they ended up staying for about 6 hours to make sure the job was done right. They identified that our dryer was not hooked up to the dryer vent (and probably had not been for a long time) and this was creating a major fire hazard as I had a ton of lint which had built up behind my dryer. they made sure that all this lint was cleaned up, which was not originally included in the price for the job but they did it for the same price anyway. They cleaned the dryer vent, the air ducts and my air conditioning system as well. They also gave some useful recommendations on keeping my air conditioning system cleaner the future. They aren't cheep, but they do a good job and make sure that the clean up job is done right. you can definitely choose any number of services that advertise air duct and dryer vent cleaning for 30-40 dollars but I haven't heard anything good about any of these services. If you want to make sure the job is done right I would go with these guys. read more

This review is specifically for Ken M. and his team. I haven't worked with anyone else in the company. As a general contractor in the restoration business, I've used Ken on numerous mold and asbestos insurance claims over the past several years. At all times, I've known him to be courteous, well informed, great with the insured (my clients), and has always done great work on schedule. The only negative feedback I received from one of my clients was Alliance Environmental accounts receivables department escalated the issue of not being paid. The client was an asset manager working for a 3rd party handling a foreclosure property. She didn't like that AE went over her head. She did her job approving the invoice, but it took longer than expected to get through their system... Sometimes the banks don't pay that quickly since there are several layers of bureaucracy. This had nothing to do with Ken. He did a great job. And to AE's defense, payment probably took around 4 months, which would make most anyone get antsy. Other than that, no complaints from any of my clients. As a general contractor, I can hire any remediation/abatement company I chose. I've worked with several others over the years, but Ken always came through. Now, he's worked his way up to be the first person on my call list. I would use Ken without hesitation. read more

After various quotes from other companies and dealing with their associates to remove bedbugs I finally went with Alliance to due the job. Best choice I ever made! Let's face it dealing with Bedbugs for the first time is one of the most frightening experiences, let alone the process to get ready for them. It's one chapter in my life I hopefully never want to deal with again. Alliance was professional and did an excellent job from the moment I made that call to Elaina in their customer service department. A few hours later I received a call from Ralph Bingochea who came out to give me a free inspection an estimate to due the job and just knew I found myself in the best of hands. Ralph was empathic towards the situation and spent a great deal of time going over the process from room to room advising me on items that needed to be removed. He reassured me that this would take care of the problem along with a 30 day guarantee. Heat treatment is the only way to rid your apartment or home from bedbugs so don't use pesticides, it's a waste of money and only creates health issues later for you. On the day of the job Christian and his associate showed up on time and took care of my belongings as if it was their own. They walked me through the process of the heat treatment and how they monitor the rooms as well as how they treat sensitive items such as electronics. Once the procedure was finished they showed me where various items were relocated due to the intense heat. They even helped me move a few heavy items back into place. The crew went beyond the call of duty by removing my old bug infested bed, wrapped it up and put in outside for me. Kudos guys! For additional piece of mind they recommend for an additional cost an independent K-9 service which sniffs out the eggs of bedbugs to assure that the problem is gone. This shows how confident they are in their work as well as no conflict of interest. My home is once again my castle thanks to Alliance. I highly recommend their services to anyone! read more

Awesome job! For many years my family had been living under a ceiling with acoustic popcorn. Just recently we tested it for asbestos, lo and behold, it had asbestos. We called Alliance up and they gave us the best estimate and the quickest response. The guys came in and did a fantastic job. There is no evidence of asbestos acoustic ceiling anymore. They also did a fabulous job cleaning up. I didn't see a bunch of acoustic ceiling dust everywhere. They seemed to mask off our living room very well. My family can breath again! No more worries about breathing in asbestos as the acoustic ceiling falls down microscopically. No amount of air filtering or vacuuming can ever get rid of this asbestos. We used Alliance when we found out about asbestos in the basement and some ducting of a home we had tenants in. The asbestos was intact but the tenants wanted the ducts cleaned and the asbestos removed. Alliance was under the very close scrutiny of our perfectionist tenants who also had their own set of experts double checking the work. Lets just say, that Alliance, and in particular Nick Rhodes and Geoff Storey did not shy away from the intense scrutiny of being under the close watch of us, the landlords, our tenants and the tenants experts. They did whatever it took to complete the work in a manner that would satisfy us all. We were very grateful that they returned every phone call, answered all our questions and returned to the property according to the set dates and times and additional days to put this job to a satisfactory close. We hired Alliance to deal with a small infestation of bedbugs. We were initially very impressed with the service call by Ralph; of the 3 companies who did service calls, he was the only one who sounded competent, impressive even. We soon realized that they weren't quite as competent as we had hoped. We chose Alliance mostly because they offered "heat treatment" as opposed to pesticides; we still think this was the correct way to treat our home, but we were very unhappy with the service provided by Alliance. From talking to Ralph, we thought we were hiring professionals, but the crew that showed up to our house seemed confused and was uncommunicative. We were concerned with how thorough the treatment had been, especially after we found live insects in our home in areas that were supposed to be heavily treated. Ralph was dismissive of our concerns and insisted that we make full payment. Thinking back on it, the only times we'e heard form Ralph he either 1)wanted money or 2) had lost paperwork and wanted us to forward him a copy. After a few emails back and forth, we ended up hiring a bed-bug sniffing dog (out of our own pocket), and low and behold, we still had bed bugs. Alliance sent a competent crew out, and we haven't had a problem since. I wish they had sent the 2nd crew out to begin with. In summary: 1)Alliance failed to treat our home completely the first time 2)Alliance was dismissive of our concerns, even in light of compelling and evidence of a mistake on their part 3)Required us to pay out of our own pocket to prove that they had not completed the work. I would not recommend them specifically, but I would highly recommend the heat treatment because even as big a hassle as it was, we're convinced the alternatives would have required more time and had a greater negative impact on our health. read more

Job Details : small bathroom (completely gutted except for the flooring), hallway and closet; asbestos tile underneath linoleum (non-asbsestos). Less than 100 sq ft; testing had already been done by a 3rd party to determine what parts of the floor contained asbestos Pros : 1) They called me back promptly - the other company I called and left a message for did not ever even attempt to contact me (I guess it must be nice to be so busy) 2) The assessor/inspector/estimator was there the next day to check out the layout and job 3) The estimator worked with me and explained all the details of abatement very well - all my questions were answered 4) The removal crew showed up on time on the day they were supposed to and were professional and courteous 5) The removal work was completed faster than expected on the day of 6) The price was, I felt, reasonable for the work that was done Cons : 1) Follow through - Alliance seems like a pretty large company and there was serious lack of communication between their employees - I had to actively pursue calling them back to get my job scheduled properly (once the estimate had been done), obtain various information, make payments (which I'll talk about next) - the name of the game was follow-up, follow-up, follow-up in order to get things done in a timely manner. 2) Billing was a disaster. I received invoices for incorrect amounts, not showing deposits that I had made on the job. I was passed around to no less than 5 different people over the course of 1 week. No one seemed to be speaking to one another. There didn't seem to be any sort of centralized system for making notes and keeping track of payments on a job. One of my payments was processed incorrectly (for the wrong amount) even after I specifically told the person on the phone exactly how much was owed, etc. I should also add that all this trouble was post-completion. The job was done and I was simply trying to pay Alliance for their work. It took me 4 days, several emails and several phone calls (where I was told things that were not followed up on) to get it done. This is the biggest problem with this company, in my opinion. 3) Subfloor damage. In one area, the people doing the removal cut WAY too deep into the subfloor (basically all the way through the 3/4" subfloor in about a 2' line. This subfloor had to be ripped out and replaced. I did not bring this up with the company, as I felt it was too much trouble to fight over after the rest of the billing issues. I wish I had been notified of the mistake on the day it happened, but was not. You can tell it was a mistake because it only happened in one spot and was just a matter of saw depth being set incorrectly. Unfortunate, but not a deal breaker. Wrapping up... Alliance would have had 4 stars (even with the subfloor mistake) had the billing experience been easier. I think if you happen to have a job that gets billed smoothly, you will appreciate your experience with this company. read more

I don't write too many reviews and used Alliance 1 year ago but decided to write this because it still angers me. I wish I had read these bad reviews before. They quoted by the project yet charged by the labor hours. So, it was extremely annoying when the foreman's exact words to me when I saw them sitting in their van mid-morning was "we're just sitting in the car to kill time because we're not allowed to leave the job site early." To keep it short, it was just an overall horrible experience every step of the way, they were very slow to respond, additional work had to be done and they quoted without seeing the place so I was again charged for more in the end. I have since had other asbestos work done by another company and they were so much better. I would never do business with this company again and hope that others don't make the same mistake. read more

I worked with Alliance for asbestos abatement, and they did a great job. I needed a team that could respond quickly and get started right away, and they were able to locate the resources. I worked mostly with Jay Bradshaw, who let me call his cell phone at all hours of the evening, and I cannot say enough good things about his management of the project, or the company in general. We live in San Diego county. Alliance Environmental was the firm that removed asbestos when our old vinyl flooring containing asbestos was removed. They were recommended by Restoration Solutions, the contractor who restored a room in our house after a water leak was discovered. Alliance team did their work efficiently and as quickly as possible. They also brought in another firm to check to make sure all the asbestos was gone. Can't speak to negative reviews of same company with different addresses, but thisteam did a good job cleaning up and was a very professional group. read more

Avoid this company at all cost! Id give them negative 5 stars if I could I've dealt with horrible company's but this one by far is the worst. First they came to do a heat treatment in my apartment and the heat breaks my tv. I have to keep bugging them about it finally they send some guy to my house, don't even pay him the guys asking me for the money for the trip and tv repair guy runs off with parts from my tv and now won't answer my phone calls or return my voicemails, oh and I gave him $160 to order the parts for the tv. It gets better 2 weeks after the heat treatment I find another bed bug alive, after calling and texting (another issues I have with alliance more specifically CHRIS he hardly ever answers his phone or returns text messages) they finally come out again to do another heat treatment and the very first night after the second treatment I find a bed bug crawling on my wall. Now it's been a month I have a broken tv, and bed bugs I'm worse off than before this company ever came into my life. Written notice or email is the proper way for formal communication. I didn't remember receiving the call on 1/17/13 and not knowing the internal process from the insurance, I did not aware the insurance denied the payment until Alliance called on 1/25/13. The letter of intent to file a lien was sent out the same day on 1/25, Friday, and received on 1/28 afternoon. I have called and email on both 1/28 and 1/29 trying to resolve the dispute, but my call and email were not answered. I have no knowledge of Alliance's net-30 policy since I am not the one receiving the invoice, insurance did and I am not knowing the payment is past due until 1/25. Besides I am not the one who order the service, and I signed the work order at the time because I thought the insurance company was paying it. read more

I didn't hire this company my INSURANCE company did.... they seemed professional at first. Then they walked through our living room and hit photo frames with the wood they carried out, thus breaking them (3). Then they walked across our rug with moldy wood exposing the spores throughout the whole house. They cleaned the rug, which seemed nice. We waited a month to get it back and were underconstruction. We stored it in the plastic they delivered it in, after moving back into our house we opened the rug to see tears throughout (basically it was deteriorating) and it has BLACK MOLD all over. They now have taken the rug, but haven't resolved the issue and one of their workers told me my attitude won't get me far and that she'll tell me what I should do and she said go to court if you want! read more

I dealt with Mike Kupke, who performed an evaluation of the property prior to coming up with an estimate. I found him to be very thorough and professional. He explained in great detail the whole process involved in removing my asbestos-positive ceiling, and even described my options , including not disturbing the ceiling at all. From his explanations I got to understand that this company goes an extra distance to do the job properly compared to the other companies I interviewed. I am giving them only 4 stars because in the end I was unable to hire them ( and have the opportunity to do a more informed evaluation of their performance) because of a hitch in my schedule (not theirs). read more

Angels disguised as CON MEN! They don't tell you up front how difficult they will be to work with until the DON'T COMPLETE THEIR WORK! They left me stranded with a house totally ripped apart, then refused to finish the job! Their salesman, Matt Niapas was extremely courteous and professional. The crew that was sent were also very professional, but spoke limited English. I was assured they would come the next morning to remove the barriers and give me a certificate of completion. The next morning the workers for the next part of the job came, but Alliance did not show up. After three phone calls I was told told they would arrive after 11am. I asked if they could possibly come sooner as the workers were already here. They said to allow the workers to start working. No, they can't unless you come to remove the barriers and give me a certificate. I was then told that my 11 am time was given to another customer and that no one would come until I pay them. I will pay them when they come. No, they won't come unless you pay! I will pay you now, over the phone, please send them out. No, they aren't coming because you haven't paid them. I asked for a supervisor and was not allowed to speak to one. I hung up and called back, finally reaching Matt who said you didn't pay us, so we won't come back. I told him to use the credit card I gave him as a down payment. He then said he would send someone right away. I never said I WOULDN'T pay them! They NEVER ASKED for the payment until they told me they wouldn't come back to finish the job. FINALLY they sent me the email, HOWEVER they said the flooring company can pull down the plastic themselves. NO, THIS IS WRONG! read more

It seems all was taken care of for the workers safety according to Osha guidelines....but what happened to the tenants safety? I am simply writing a review so that all is aware and future incidents can be prevented.... When i say the Alliance manager said there was mold everywhere... her words were mold is inside as well as outside in the environment. And the wall I am referring to were adjoining walls to the master bedroom. The dehumidifiers placed in the contained area dried the area so bad and made it extremely hot and dry in the house. And this contained area during remediation was taped to carpet and ceiling. In my opinion tape is not sufficient enough as considered a contained atmosphere. I was never given the option to be placed in a hotel which I believe is the landlords responsibility. Unfortunately all this is said and done and after researching black mold and all the area that had to be replaced, we should have left. Again I stress that the chemicals used may cause headaches and black mold can stay in carpet. Very well lesson learned on my part......and extremely glad I have since moved from that house. read more
