My transaction ended up being canceled, and during the process I requested to complete a standard wire. I was told I needed to notarize a form. That alone isn't unusual, but what is unusual is that this escrow company does not have a notary available on site unless you pay extra. Any professional escrow company I've ever worked with has a notary available as part of basic service. Here, they refused to do it unless I paid, which honestly felt cheap and unprofessional. In a transaction involving large sums of money, nickel-and-diming clients over something this basic is unacceptable. Between the lack of support and unnecessary friction, the process was frustrating from start to finish. I would not recommend this escrow company to anyone looking for a smooth or professional transaction.

When we signed documents, we were told that we would receive an emailed copy and I had to call 6 days later to get that. After I called, I only received the final settlement statement and not the full copy of documents that we signed. There was an unexpected charge on the final settlement statement and when I called to ask about it, they were not able to explain it but instead said someone other than our escrow officer would call me back. I am writing this about an hour later and have not heard back from them yet.
