I recently contacted Allmake to have my washing machine serviced. It was draining poorly and the computer was giving me error codes. Zoheir came out on the service call. He asked me several questions about the function of the machine. He then worked backward from the simplest solution to the more complex. He found the issue and corrected it. The access port of the drain was opened and Zoh completely cleaned and serviced the drain. When he closed the port, and he ran a cycle through the washer, it leaked. He took it apart again and found that the rubber o-ring was crushed on one side ( the washer was 9 years old and the drain housing had never been serviced). He did not have the proper o-ring in his truck, and came up with a brilliant solution. He reversed the o-ring so that the crushed side was facing out from the drain plug threads. He replaced the drain plug and he ran it through another cycle. Problem solved. Not a drop of water. Allmake didn't try to replace the mother board, run unneeded diagnostics or just start replacing parts until they fixed it. Their costs are very reasonable. Neil and his staff are great. We used him exclusively when we lived in the Chicago Suburbs and have maintained contact over the years. When our washer gave up the ghost, we called Neil for a recommendation and purchased accordingly. When the washer ran into a problem (knocking, banging) and our local service person did not have an answer, we call Neil. He went back in his experience 8 years to one only machine that did the same and indicated what he felt the problem would be. While the local person was not sure, he went ahead and checked it out and - sure enough - it was what Neil said it was, and neither the local person nor anyone in his company had ever seen it before. If we lived near Neil, we'd buy an exclusive service contract with him and his company to service our appliances - and for SURE call for suggestions about appliances before we bought them. Our repair man, Zoh, was outstanding! He was friendly, efficient and unbelievable at getting everything done in a short amount of time! Allmake was terrific. They had an opening one day after I called. The technician was able to diagnose the issue quickly. He was then able to get the parts in less than 30 minutes - and had the dryer humming along about an hour after he first arrived. The repair cost was reasonable. We were very happy. Neil came out to repair my dishwasher. Excellent job. He took a look at the computer board and determined it could be repaired, which he did right then and there, instead of needing to buy a new one. The start button was broken and he switched it with the delay button which I never use saving me even more money. All total he saved me over $200. Neil came out to fix my oven and not only fixed it, cleaned behind and around it, but also heard my fridge running the whole time he was here which he thought was too much and he looked at it and cleaned out the filter, which I didn't know needed to be done every year. I had troubles with my 2 yr old refrigerator temperature panel going down as low as 18 degrees and freezing my food in the refrigerator. Nathan came in, evaluated the situation and troubleshooted the problem. Which was a frozen flap that connected the freezer to the fridge. He was able to save me $125 in parts.
