The first sump pump that was installed unfortunately had an issue with the lighted plug but they came back out to replace it so it's all good now. I highly recommend Jason to anyone looking for a plumber - he's really one of the nicest plumbers I've met and he'd clearly and patiently answer any questions you may have. Their quote was also competitive. I'd definitely be calling them in the future for my plumbing needs! P.S. if you're unable to reach them at their phone/office number, try messaging them via Yelp. I was able to get the work scheduled in a couple days, and the communication was great. I got text message alerts of arrival time window, and who would be coming. Once the Andrew and Gustavo arrived at my house on the day of the job, they were friendly and went right to work. They wore shoe covers when coming into my house, and they were very knowledgeable and communicated what they needed (like turning on the faucets in my bathrooms when the main water line was shut off). I had bought the utility sink that I wanted to replace my old one with so Andrew and Gustavo figured out the new piping that needed to be put in, and went the extra mile to make sure that the install of the sink was perfect by stabilizing the sink so it wouldn't be so shaky. The entire job took a little under three hours, and I was very pleased with the craftsmanship. All the work was explained to me. They truly live up to their namesake, Plumbing Pros!

In April, I paid approximately $3,000 for a new sump pump and backup battery system. In August, that backup battery failed, resulting in my basement flooding. What is incredibly frustrating is that after spending that much money on a system that was supposed to protect my home, I was left dealing with the consequences when it failed only a few months later. To make matters worse, the response and communication throughout this entire situation have been extremely frustrating. I had to take multiple days off work for appointments, only to have the company fail to show up when they said they would. I was repeatedly given different timelines for when someone would come out and address the damage. The battery was eventually replaced, but the mitigation process was another nightmare. I was told the mitigation team would come out, only to have someone come later simply assess the damage and take pictures. I was then given another date for the actual mitigation work, only to be told at the last minute that they didn't have anyone available. At that point, I had enough. J. Blanton will not be stepping foot in my home again. I do want to specifically thank Nick and Michael from the mitigation side for at least trying to help and work through this situation with me. I appreciate the effort they made, but unfortunately, it doesn't change my overall experience with the company. When you spend thousands of dollars on something that is supposed to protect your home, you should be able to expect it to work and expect the company to stand behind its work when something goes wrong. I have since used Servpro to mitigate the situation. My advice: save yourself the headache, money, missed work, and frustration and choose another company. I would never use J. Blanton again.
