I found Boris on Craigslist. His ad stood out as it did not tease a ridiculous low price like $39 or $89 to clean 3 rooms. Those others were obviously going to cost a lot more in the end. I checked his reviews here on Yelp, and was satisfied that he cared about his work and reputation. So I called and was pleased that Boris going to be available a couple of days later. We agreed on the price up front for cleaning the carpets in my condo.. He showed up on time and set up his equipment in a safe and professional manner. I left him to it, and about 3 hours later the work was done. I have dogs and had been using my own carpet cleaning machine for a few years. I must admit they were never as clean as after Boris cleaned them, especially around the edges and corners. It's been a few weeks since the job was done and they are still looking great. So a few months ago in the middle of the night I spilled a trail of peanut butter all across my carpet. I worked on it for hours but the stain stayed pronounced and went all the way across the room. Then last week, the landlord was getting the unit next door's carpets cleaned before a new tenant moved in, and so I went over and asked Boris how much he would charge me to clean that half of the room and get the stain out. Only $20 !!!! And the stain proved quite stubborn and he had to work on it for over half an hour. I offered him more money because I could tell it was more work than he had thought it would be, but he refused, saying he would only take what he had quoted me. What a guy !!!! Yesterday I scheduled a steam cleaning and Boras was nice enough to fit me in later that day. He did a fabulous job on my studio apartment. He was punctual, professional, and a pleasure to deal with. It took him under and hour and it looks like a new carpet (except one bleach stain that obviously isn't removable.) Parking in my neighborhood is terrible and Boras was patient and found a garage, left his tools outside for me to watch, parked and came back. Unreliable, Unprofessional, and not courteous. If you can get him to commit to a time and remember it, and actually show up, his work was good. Unfortunately, this is not the case. He called at 9:30 to reschedule a 10 am appt for two days later. Two days later he forgot and went on another job in the South Bay.
