So…read morewhen my car had some body damage that includes some dents, paint damage and a broken side mirror, I wasn't sure where to go. My mom suggested Smooth Auto Body. My dad took his Porsche into them before after a slight fender bender and she said the non-insurance price was reasonable, but then again that was a Porsche so I was a little skeptical. I was able to file the insurance claim pretty easily given the fact that it was a hit and run. I came in with the claim# and insurance estimate and came in once for them to take a look and then brought it in a way days later. When I was there they were fixing a lot nicer and more expensive vehicles than my Hyundai Elantra so I figured my car would be in good hands. The owner, Mr. Gee, is friendly and gets right down to business. The repairs took slightly longer than I expected but it coincided with Thanksgiving so I'm giving them a break. In fairness I brought my car in before they even had a chance to order the parts because my insurance set me up with the rental sooner than expected. What matters is they did a good job. In the area where they did the repair you couldn't tell there was an accident. They tested the wheel alignment and also cleaned both the inside and outside of my car. I'd recommend them to folks who need some auto body work done and I hope I don't have to go there again anytime soon.

I came to Van for my previous aftermarket custom installs so needless to say I returned to Van once again to have him reinstall my back bumper body kit that I had reordered. Very exquisite work from Van! Will return if I need custom installs again! Also, just a week ago I recommended a friend from SF I had met to Van for installing an after market spoiler onto his car, my friend was also overly impressed by Van's work because none of Van's employees knew the proper procedure to install the spoiler. I have gotten cars worked on a few times over the years by Quality Body & Fender. They seem to do a…read moregood job with a reasonable turnaround time based on when they estimate the repairs. My insurance companies at the time handled two of the situations, and Quality seems to be able to work those out with the Claim Teams quickly. On a recent incident where my front end was bent up on my 2018 Chevy Bolt, Quality was listed as a preferred GEICO auto shop. Quality's Estimator Jaime walked me through the process. While things can always take a little longer when dealing with insurance and paperwork, I was able to get my car back with the front end looking close to new. When I've been there, I've seen cars and trucks in much worse condition to my cars, so I'm assuming they're good at what they do. They do great work, I hope I won't have to see them again, at least for a long time.

The process is they will organize a ride to the Broadway location for you after you drop off your car for repair. I mistakenly selected this pickup location and they didn't have cars that met my insurance max, hence paying extra out of pocket. But they can pickup the rental from the shop when you come to pick up your car!

The front desk guy, Tony, is always really nice and goes above and beyond with service, they all do. My recent interaction with them was needing an oil change. I'm too lazy to do it myself and they always have the best prices of all other places. I dropped by on my way home from the gym since I had some free time and Tony informed me that they were getting ready for lunch and I would be waiting a while. If I want/had time, I could come back in an hour and I would be the first car they look at. I had time so I drove home first. Tony ended up calling me to let me know they were done for lunch 45 minutes later and I could stop by anytime. I thought this was really great service and he said he knew I was a loyal customer. I was in and out of there by the time I was done with a business phone call. I recommend at least coming and checking this place out if you need a quote on pricing. Their prices are always fair, in my opinion, but I also understand it depends on what is getting done and looked at. They know what they're doing and are quick with things if they're not slammed with other customers.

UPDATE: I feel compelled to write this review as it is a year later and time for me to return my car as it is a lease, and the dealership inspector was going to charge me $200+ for my front bumper that appeared to be misaligned (likely from slightly going over a curb or something).
