Very friendly place , everybody was wearing a mask , the owner was super helpful , he answered all my questions since it was my first time doing a smog , They charged me $50 total , I was in and out of there in less than 15 min , they had two technicians working , def recommend this place to anyone else , thank you !! read more

I needed a fast and convenient place to get a smog check, they not only responded quickly but I messaged pretty late on a Sunday and I got a response within minutes. When I showed up the next day it was fast and easy. I received more responses in the morning for other places and this place was the cheapest plus they offer a discount if you check in, can't beat that. The best part is that it's right across from the dmv so I was able to get my tags the same day without driving far. read more

Needed to get a Smog job on my car for registration this year. Allstar is where I chose to go because they are family owned. Their rates were comparable to everywhere else I checked, but their service was extraordinary!!! It is walk in only, no appointments. By the time I sat down in their waiting area it was time to Smog my car. Victor Jr took great care of me. He is professional and very pleasant. The test was done before I knew!!! I called them to get a quote on a smog check and was told the price and mentioned a $5 discount if I wrote a review which I really like that for my dad who is a senior citizen and on a limited budget. We got there and was greeted promptly and only waited 15 mins to get a smog. My husband and I been coming here for years and this is the first for my dad. Great place to get a quick smog done by some very nice guys. Definitely recommend this place! read more

I was skeptical about going to any smog check place to get my car checked out because of all the horror stories I've read on Yelp regarding those types of shops. I definitely did not have that experience at all. I took my car in because my engine light was on. With a fairly new car I was worried. I consulted with Victor. His detector said there was some time of air leak in the gas line. He asked me to open my tank door. It turned out my gas cap was off. Victors customer service was beyond my expectations. I think I found my new smog go to station, I needed a quick smog check for a vehicle I was selling and All star smog came through, they where finishing up with a customer then they started on mine, I would say it took no longer than 15 minutes and I was out of there. Very courteous service and the $5 yelp check in discount was just the icing on the cake. Good job, will definitely be back. read more

Tire light has nothing to do with the smog and will not cause a fail.

Check engine light on is an automatic fail you need to fix that first and once your mechanic fix it and reset the light ask him how many miles you need to drive it before you can smog it

Yen took care of the muffler delete and Lee and two other very helpful gentlemen took care of my coil overs. I have to say I am very satisfied with the quality of work for the value. They quoted me way under anyone else that I had called prior to going with them. I will recommend A-1 Muffler Express to all of my friends and family. They all make you feel that you're part of the family. They offered me coffee and cold water while I waited for my car to be done. One thing to remember, they are experts in mufflers, exhaust systems, and not any other type of work. But it never hurts to ask if they can do it for you!

The gentleman on the phone said the transmission fluid is for life unless I'm towing or carrying heavy loads. When I questioned why I see that it's recommended online he says that dealers will recommend this service all day but if you check the Toyota maintenance manual it says you don't need it. Man! I haven't even been to this shop yet and I'm already getting a good feeling about this place. It's a bit more expensive for an oil change than other places that have quoted me, but I like that they use factory parts including Toyota oil filters. Stay tuned.... 6/29/26 - Brought my Sienna in for an oil change + complimentary 30-point inspection (since it was my first time there). Jared took the van for a spin, brought it back and lifted it up. They found a little oil seepage coming out of the transfer case. I let them know that I did see a transfer case drain/fill on the CarFax report before I bought it. Jared thinks they just didn't torque it properly so they were going to retorque and clean up around the area and keep an eye on it. Worst case scenario, they would need to order a new drain plug gasket and I'd have to come back to get it replaced. Thankfully, the drain plug just needed to get tightened. I was in and out in almost exactly an hour just as Robert promised. Thanks The Toy Shop team!! Pro Tip: they are booked out at least a week in advanced so make your appointment ASAP!

So, I searched on Yelp and of course I came across a plethora of businesses but Bolles was the only one that had all five stars, I gave them a call and spoke with the owner's son (sorry i forgot his name) he was very polite, and knowledgeable. The next day o took my car to them to be serviced. I dropped it off and they called me a couple of hours later with an estimate. Yes the estimate was pricey but again he was using Merced's parts and we all know that those aren't cheap. But what I appreciated most was their honesty . He told me that the rotors on the back were shit and definitely had to be replaced but the front were fine and if the price was too much I could actually wait awhile (not forever, but a payday or two) before replacing the brakes . I thought this was the most honest expertise I had ever had with an unknown mechanic. If you want the job done right, with friendly, professional people I would recommend this business to you and anybody who needed a wheel alignment and or brakes . Hopefully I won't have to go back anytime soon but I'll definitely be recommending the to everyone I know .

These guys are great here. It was easy and fast I would totally recommend coming back. But they do charge $50 now and you can save $5 by checking in with yelp and using the coupon. read more
