Jen was extremely rude and acted as though the clinic's main phone number was her personal number and she could simply decide whether or not a patient was allowed to escalate a concern. I repeatedly requested the manager's email address or another way to contact management, and she refused to provide either and continued hanging up on me. A receptionist's job is to assist patients and facilitate communication with the appropriate staff--not prevent patients from reaching management when they have a legitimate concern. Repeatedly disconnecting calls because a patient is asking to escalate an issue is completely unprofessional and unacceptable. Spectrum Eye Physicians should seriously review how escalation requests are being handled at the front desk and Jen's conduct toward patients.

I didn't know cameras could project that! Science is amazing! I forget the eye doctors name. But I know they told me he was the Chinese doctor. I'm not too sure if he is actually Chinese or just speaks Mandarin and or Cantonese, but certain people requested him. I will have surgery for that but first needed to pass my vision test for my DL renewal . As a patient, I believe it is completely reasonable to ask questions and participate in decisions regarding my own health. I also felt that the focus was more on financial aspects than on patient care. Eye health is important, and patients should feel that their well-being is the top priority--not sales or additional charges. A successful healthcare practice requires not only technical skill but also strong communication, empathy, and professionalism. Customer service and patient relationships are essential in any medical setting. I truly believe that additional training in patient communication and customer care would greatly benefit this practice. Based on my experience, I have decided to take my business elsewhere.
