We took a little Summerween trip from Boston to Salem, then back to Boston (via train). We'd planned to ride the train back to Boston then take a different train to the airport, but seeing our luggage, several people on the train recommended avoiding downtown Boston and instead hopping off at Chelsea to take the Silver Line bus to the airport shuttles. Our flight was delayed and we didn't want to just sit in the airport, so we decided to listen to the locals, hop off at Chelsea then look for some cool local spot to get a coffee and maybe some food. This is a hidden gem in Chelsea. We asked folks on the train if they had recommendations.. they did not. We got off at Chelsea and it was pretty much a food and attraction desert, at least within walking distance of the bus stop. Luckily, Yelp came to the rescue. The coffee search brought up Dunkin, Starbucks and Aloe Natural. A quick glance at their Yelp page showed a picture of the coconut obsession coffee drink, and I was sold. With our luggage in tow, we walked the 3 blocks from the bus stop to find the business. It's literally a straight shot down the road, but I do recommend crossing to the right side of the street when given the opportunity, then taking the crosswalk to move over to the left right before reaching the business. The entrance is 2 small steps, so keep that in mind if you are a wheelchair or adaptive walking device user. It's a small, but clean and welcoming spot -- even offering a little swing and backdrop for selfies. We entered just before 2p on a weekday. The woman behind the counter was friendly and welcoming. She smiled and thanked us for visiting when I told her how we'd come to find the business. She said most of their traffic is students and teachers who want a healthier option in the neighborhood. She told us they have another business in the neighborhood which offers the often heavier, traditional Hispanic foods. We stayed until 3p, when they closed -- but that last hour they had a really steady stream of students and takeout pickups. We were honestly surprised to see them close so early. It seems like they'd do well to stay open until 4p, or maybe even 5p to catch more of that after school/work crowd. We went for the coffee but were blown away by the açaí bowl. It was delicious! Fresh, light, healthy-- everything I needed after 5 days of tourist walking and exploring. I ordered the iced coconut obsession and was pleased to get a little bit of Nutella with every sip. It was decadent, but not so sweet that it made my stomach hurt. My girlfriend ordered a strawberry lemonade and was also pleased. The prices were super reasonable, especially given the size and amount of fresh produce. My GF said she wasn't really hungry and only wanted a few bites, but ended up eating half of my açaí bowl. It was that good. If they'd been open later, I would have ordered a second one. I definitely recommend giving this small local business a try. Next time we find ourselves in Boston, we'll definitely stop in Chelsea to take the silver line bus to the airport and get a repeat of this exact meal. **As a side note, the restroom was a single-person, gender neutral room with a full-size baby changing table. It was clean and great for a #1. There's a table just outside the bathroom door -- only because the inside space is very small. They are very mindful of this and try to keep the bathroom door shut when not in use, so knock if you need to go. read more

I love this place. We go here all the time. Their smoothies are fantastic. I particularly like them for breakfast.

This place is hard to find at first because of its location. Looks like you're driving to a dock and then bam! There it is this diamond in the rough wish it stood out more because when you go inside it's gorgeous. There's some sort of gym next to it you can park in front of just don't block them too much they're a pain. Back to this place though gosh the service was great super attentive and sweet host. The food was tasty and their coffee was oh so good! I would say they can bring it down a notch on the sugar levels but that's just me personally. Such a pretty place to bring a date a friend or hey just your dog. It's a little on the pricey side but worth the treat. read more

This is a super cute new coffee and açaí spot in Chelsea! When we drove by and saw it was open, we decided to stop in for to-go coffee and breakfast. Overall it was a nice experience and good food, though you could tell they're definitely still working out some kinks in their process. There were only two menus so I had to wait for one table to finish with theirs, and there wasn't allergy info on the menu so I had to ask a couple questions, but we settled on iced lattes, a breakfast sandwich, and the classic açaí bowl. I wish I I would have taken a picture of the açaí bowl before diving in because it was huge! Definitely too much for one person and would have been nice to share. Nice size for the price, but I'd prefer smaller personally to waste less. The fruit was nice and fresh, but the bowl overall was really sweet to me so I'm not sure I'd choose it again. Everything else was pretty good, so I'll probably plan to come back and eat in! I did see some people eating blueberry waffles that looked delicious, and croissants seemed like the right choice for sandwiches, instead of the bagel we got. Looking forward to returning! read more
