One of my favorite places to get coffee in the north end (technically west end, but it's close…read moreenough). The service is always pretty quick and there's never a wait either. That might be because of its location..it's kind of tucked away and the first time it took us a while to find. The easiest way to get there is to walk in to north station by the star market entrance, turn left and walk straight until you get to the doors and then walk through those and you'll see it (you'll pass Dunkin on the way). It's not what I would describe as a cozy coffee shop, it's the kind of place where you get your coffee and then leave. Now the drinks themselves.. The coffee cream/coffee ice cream is DELICIOUS. This was the first thing I ever tried and it blew me away. It is very heavy but so yummy. The latte affogato is also delicious, probably because they use that coffee cream in it! The Americano is great with any of the coffee blends. The Nutella latte is also one of my favorites, especially if you like Nutella. The gingerbread affogato was great too! This is a seasonal item I think but if it's there definitely try it! Everything here is so great, and the rotating specials make it very easy to want to keep going back and trying new ones. On the particular day we visited, they were understaffed and were only offering bar service which was fine with us. We got a few of their beers which were all excellent. The Belgian Waffles truly had an end taste of maple syrup. The lemon shandy is very dry and slightly sour. We got the arancini which were SO good. We also got the truffle fries which were great. We got the Shifty, Forager, and blazin bird pizzas. All of them were really good in their own ways. The Blazin Bird was a popular one at the table.

I ordered my usual flight, but they were out of stickers :( They had some unique beers amongst them one called Belgian Waffles which is a blonde ale with maple syrup and cinnamon. This was dessert or breakfast, depending on your perspective, in a glass. I also got a hazy IPA, a peanut butter stout, and a hefe. All were really good. For lunch I got some honey jerk wings. These were cooked to perfection. Crisp skin and juicy meat. The problem was the flavor. They had the honey but no jerk. There was no spice at all. They were still good, but they could have been great. Anyway, give me stickers and spice and I will give you that 5th star.

It makes it fun if you're sitting down. I've gotten food here before but I wouldn't say that their food is my favorite (although it is really good, I just like some other spots a bit more for breakfast). Their coffee is outstanding though. I myself rarely have just cold brew. I like a foam, I love a dessert drink. But their honey cinnamon cold brew....out of this world. It is my go to every time. I've tried their lattes and they are fine, but you're missing out if you don't try their cold brew. Their hot chocolate in the winter with the macadamia milk is also exceptional if you aren't a coffee person. The service is always pretty quick, while there might be a line it does move fast and they get drink orders out quickly. The staff is also always really nice and helpful. We came across Thinking Cup one morning and decided to have breakfast here. It's a cute rustic place where you can sit inside to eat or grab to go. I love the display of the bakery goods and the wonderful smell of coffee. The place is pretty clean. We decided to try their waffles. It came with fresh diced strawberries, blueberries, and whipped cream. Overall delicious with a touch of powdered sugar. We also purchased the scones to go and they were also delicious!

Which honestly I did not think we had a long wait but appreciated the staff still. Overall the space for waiting is limited but won't hold that in a negative light since it's a food hall. I grabbed a Mango Fruit Tea with mango popping boba added while my wife got their toasted brown sugar milk tea. Both were pretty good but neither blew us away. My wife did not like the syrup in her brown sugar milk tea, had an odd flavor to it. Maybe we should have picked different drinks that would have impressed more. It took over 20 minutes to receive my two items. Honestly, I think Currentea is a cute little place not suitable for its location. It seems too small for many staff members and they're very overworked. I appreciate the hustle of the staff but it gets to a point it's unacceptable.

I do not go out for coffee much anymore due to the convenience and cost effectiveness of a Breville and am often frustrated paying over $5 for mediocre coffee, but flour cafe was not in this boat. Their cappuccino had the balance of flavor and aesthetic for a pleasant drink for my wife and I. Even better was the fact that these drinks were served by someone with a warm spirit and smile.. hard to get great service these days. Also, I am not eating flour until March but my wife said the ham and cheese croissant was incredible: generous portion of ham and cheese, baked to perfection, and not too bread(y). This is a great place to stop (in a beautiful residential area too).
