Donny and his crew chief Vidal are all about getting the job done right. This is not my first renovation we have undertook. I have renovated over 3 homes in different states and countries and I have never in the end been happy with the contractors I hired to design and complete the work. D & D installation is the first contractor that I have walked away at the end, saying I would definitely use them again and for sure recommend them to any friend looking to renovate their home, whether it be a small or large job like the one we undertook. I think the biggest take away for me was that Donny was very communicative, letting us know every step of the way any of the pitfalls and challenges that they encountered. Vidal is a diamond in the rough! thank you Donny for putting him in charge of the project.

We hired D&D based on being licensed, the number of years of service in the area and…read morerecommendations but found things seem to have changed. Our experience was not as good as others have posted. No major construction was contracted - just minor electrical, popcorn removal, ceiling re-surface, wall painting, replacing carpet with laminated wood flooring and fireplace brick re-surfaced with stacked stone. Contract was for a 3-4 week job, but it took over 10 weeks! Project started ok, original crew was professional, on time, etc. but after several weeks, things deteriorated - different workers came, some came late or missed days altogether and quality of work declined. Communication decreased. So we could not recommend D & D.

Denis came out, walked through everything I needed done, and gave me a clear quote. I could buy the materials myself or have them send Amazon and Home Depot links -- no markup on materials, which I really appreciated. Scheduling was easy, and Denis kept me updated about arrival. Once he was here, he worked through the list item by item. His work ethic stood out. Prices were extremely reasonable. I've already saved his number for future work and would recommend Pro Handyman Service without hesitation. Prospective customers, feel free to message me.

We highly recommend Pro Handyman Service!…read more I wanted to write this review because we had a request that, while not unique, wasn't that easily categorized under a common household repair category, so we decided we would look for a general handyman that would be able to do it all. We have a sliding barn door for a guest bathroom, and because there was a bit of a gap from the wall to the door, it wasn't very private for our guests, and there was also no latch on the barn door. It's a strange choice for a bathroom, but we also didn't have the budget to change the entire door. I reached out to a few pros to get their assessments, and Pro Handyman Service was not the cheapest option for this job, but they had great reviews and I appreciated that they gave me an upfront quote. The quote actually helped me to budget accordingly, and I didn't feel like there were going to be a bunch of hidden charges that I wouldn't be able to plan for. I also felt that Pro Handyman Service was easy to communicate with and they responded to my questions very quickly over Yelp messages. They are busy, by the way, so try to schedule early so you can get a time slot. Denis arrived at our home promptly and on time, and was very careful to keep the home clean by wearing booties to cover his shoes. He listened and reviewed the situation, then gave us several options based on his opinions and experience. For example, he said he could use either wood or plastic paneling to add a "privacy edge" to the sliding door, and we ultimately settled on wood for the sides and plastic for the top of the door. He had everything needed for the job and just needed to leave to purchase the wood paneling and returned promptly to do the install. He also painted and caulked the new wooden privacy edge on each side of the door. We had already purchased a latch, which he also installed while accommodating the added privacy edge to the door. Denis worked very quickly and efficiently, leaving no mess behind. As you can see from the photos, the installation looks quite neat and clean, and almost looks as if the door came that way. It was nice that he was able to cut the privacy edge to accommodate the baseboard, too. Overall, this was a very positive experience with Pro Handyman Service and we think you'll be pleased with them as well! Hopefully this review will be helpful to anyone else who is looking for someone who needs a handyman (and especially if they have a specific request that might be similar to ours)!

My wife and I recently hired KDOC Construction of Newport Beach to replace our 54-year-old…read moresecond-story balcony, and the experience exceeded every expectation we had. From start to finish, James Kennedy and his outstanding team completed a truly flawless project. In an industry where finding contractors who consistently do what they promise can be challenging, James and KDOC Construction were exceptional. They delivered everything they committed to--on time, on budget, and with remarkable attention to detail. This was not an easy project or one designed simply to give us a fresh, clean appearance with new materials. KDOC Construction needed to replace beams decaying with dry rot, and they installed at least double the number of original joists to further strengthen the structure. The new balcony is rock solid. Safety and good looks, a winning combination! The quality of workmanship was superb. The materials used were clearly top-notch, and every aspect of the project reflected pride, craftsmanship, and professionalism. Just as impressive, the crew arrived on time every day for the entire three-week project and maintained a clean, organized worksite, carefully cleaning up at the end of each day. Working with James and his crew was an absolute pleasure. He communicated clearly throughout the project, was responsive to every question, and demonstrated the kind of integrity and professionalism that is increasingly rare today. He also has automated the quotation and billing side of his business. We never had to wait for information. We could not be happier with the final result. Our new balcony looks fantastic, and we have complete confidence in the quality of the work. We fully intend to use James and KDOC Construction again for future construction and renovation projects. I simply cannot say enough good things about KDOC Construction. If you are looking for a general contractor who delivers exceptional quality, keeps his promises, and genuinely cares about his clients, I recommend James Kennedy and KDOC Construction without hesitation.
