My dad and I split a medium juicy Cajun aloha combo with snow crab, shrimp and green mussels; all the pots come with 3 potatoes and 3 small corn cobs. It came out pretty quickly steamed ul in a poofy bag. The food was all cooked well; the seafood juicy and supple and the corn and potatoes the right texture. However, it was lacking flavor. My dad and I barely detected any taste of Cajun spices and definitely no heat... Not even mild, let alone the medium we ordered. Absolutely exceptional service experience! I stopped in during lunch and Nichole took my order. She was sweet and made me a really delicious drink! I can't remember the name of it, but it had coconut and a banana liqueur I believe. I ordered a seafood boil with crab legs to go, but when I got my order it didn't have any legs in it. I called the restaurant and Nichole answered, apologized and came up with a reasonable solution! I came to the restaurant when she was not there and was still taken care of due to the accident. Grabbed a seafood boil today that my son has been asking me for, for a couple of weeks now. We were in a time crunch so we got it to go. We ordered snow crab, shrimp, mussels, corn, sausage, eggs, potatoes and broccoli with the Aloha butter sauce (very bland and watered down). First red flag was they forgot the lemons. My son started eating and kept saying it doesn't taste right. Once I tasted it I realize the corn was sour. (Which tainted the whole boil) Our potatoes were large red potatoes cut in half that were still hard. There is always a loud dance playlist. Some of the songs you'll love, some not at all. The food is good, but not exactly consistently. The green mussels are always delicious. Our last visit was delightful in every way. From the hostess, through our waiter Jackson who made us feel welcome and invited, to the yummy food. Huge place--if you do not like seafood, this is not the place for you. I'd never heard of this chain before purchasing a Seize the Deal certificate to try it out. Fairly noisy with loud background music plus ongoing conversations. Not the place to try and have much of a conversation. They have a limited craft beer menu much to the chagrin of my husband. He settled for a 16oz. Heineken in can. I refused to pay $14 or $15 for a specialty cocktail at Chain restaurant. Next tip: wear clothes that can be easily washed as there's a good possibility you will get butter, grease, etc. on them as you fight to get your seafood out of its shell. Unfortunately, they do not provide wet wipes, no there is a huge dispenser of paper napkins the table alongside a bucket for discarded shells. The good was plentiful with 2- 6oz lobster tails that were pre-cracked for easy access. 3 half ears of corn and 3 potatoes. A large amount of shrimp and crawfish. We actually ate our full of shrimp and took 6 home with us. We gave the crawfish a valiant attempt, but there was so little meat in their tiny little tails that we quit after trying 2-3 each. So, unless you're well versed in eating crawfish, you may want to pick another option for the 2nd seafood. Very efficient service and we were in and out in about an hour. read more

We decided, after attending an event at Aloha Krab, to get takeout to enjoy later at home. We ordered the crab meat Po Boy with a side of Cajun Fries. The Po Boy was topped with lettuce, tomatoes, and Bo Boy sauce. Ever get a sandwich where the toppings actually overpowered the rest of the dish? Not here. The delicious crab meat (real crab) was allowed to shine as the main flavor. Just as it should. I'd say the roll was average. Not bad, but nothing special. Overall my experience at Aloha Krab was pleasant. Walking in the restaurant appeared to be well kept and in style. Even giggling at some of the decor. No complaints on the food. My partner and I got a half pound shrimp (head off) and 5 oz lobster tail boil. This included potato's and corn. Shrimp & lobster was very good, we got it as mild cajun. Potato's were nicely cooked, and good amount of them in the bag. However, the corn we were not impressed with... too hard. We also got the pasta (no mushrooms) with crab meat and butter garlic sauce. The pasta was very flavorful and juicy. Although I had an allergic reaction to crab (not their fault) I would even risk it and get it again. Service was a bit slow but overall decent service. Aloha Krab does hot pot now!! Never had hot pot? You need to try it! And Aloha Krab makes it easy! First they bring it the tray so you can craft your own sauce with ingredients like green onion garlic flakes, chili, salt, soy sauce, oyster sauce, etc. Then comes your personal pot of broth. You can then order various pieces of meat, vegetables, and noodles to drop in the broth and cook. The spicy Mala broth that I chose is fantastic, and everything cooked in it picked up a fantastic flavor and seasoning. It's not for the the tame though; when you get to the end of the pot, the sichuan pepper cracks open and turns your tongue numb on contact. It's an unusual sensation! Best part of the meal was the Cajun fries , not that anything was bad but everything was just a mid I would have to say. The ceasar, well you could find a better one in a super market, one of them all in one's that come with the greens, the dressing and croutons. I had never been here before tonight. My friend told me that 4.0 was playing so I met up with her for some music. The band was awesome. Tanya is awesome. Superfriendly and A great bartender. This is really a seafood restaurant but I am not a huge seafood fan. So I ordered in Caesar salad, which was really good. There are 2 reasons that I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 stars. The first was that it took a really long time for the salad to come. The restaurant did not appear to be overly busy, but maybe they just were very short staffed in the kitchen. The other thing that bothered me was that bar was very sticky and the bathroom could have used a little attention. I will most definitely be back. Stopped in before the dinner rush and was pleasantly surprised. Only reason I went here originally was because my wife was dying to try it. Got the steam pot with peel-and-eat shrimp, baby clams, sausage, potatoes and corn and it was wonderful! Each person got their on mini pot and they have condiments cart that you can mixed your own spices. Both of us decided to do spicy pot. If we come back again, we will do 2 different pot so we can try each other. They have a bunch of meats options, veggies and seafood. Been here twice now! I highly recommend getting the Cajun boil! The first time I got the garlic butter only and it just wasn't seasoned enough for me! The next time I got the Cajun and would never look back! It's not usually busy which is nice. For the appetizers I so recommend the coconut shrimp and the hush puppies! I've been ordering and coming here since 2023, and genuinely I'm not sure if it's just because they have new staff now but things are starting to become an issue for me. I work at the mall and I've always called to place my order before clocking out that way I can just grab my food and go home, I tried calling and the lady on the phone claimed they never take orders on the phone ( which was false) but I left that alone because I know things change, so it was no problem for me. However my issue is that the last 3 times I went in after work to place my order I've had to wait 45 mins for them to bring out my 5 piece wings and side order of fries just to find out each time that it was just sitting in the back, and they only ever brought it out because I asked one of the workers to check on my order for me. Normally the wait time is typically 15-20 minutes which again I understand because of other people who are dining, but this is genuinely starting to concern me. Do they not prioritize getting pick up orders ready especially when I placed it in store and sat there waiting? I just left there and I asked the gentleman working in the front to check on my order because it's been 30 minutes and when he came out 3 minutes later I asked if it was just sitting in the back or it was just finished. To which he responded your order was finished for about 10 minutes. Literally if I didn't ask him to check on my food i genuinely think they would've just forgotten to give me my food. read more

My husband and I were here the day before my birthday last month (this review is a little late). Our pleasant waitress told me I could have a free dessert, but I'm allergic to gluten and all the sweets on the menu had it in them. She was so sweet and apologetic about it and even offered me a free appetizer in place of dessert. In the end, I got a free shot for my birthday. I opted for a pound of crawfish because I love eating their tails. I didn't get much else with it besides a few potatoes, so the crawfish was the star. I got them in garlic butter sauce, which was phenomenal. I was happy that bibs were provided, since the whole affair was quite messy. Sooo much seafood for a reasonable price! To start, I got the crab bisque which was rich and tasty, just wish there was more crab meat. For my entree I had the Double Catch A - 1/2 lb clams and 1/2 lb black mussels, with red potatoes and an ear of corn. You get an option of what kind of sauce and spice level you want. I chose the garlic butter and mild. The garlic butter was delicious, especially on the potatoes! Mild was just right for me to add a little kick, not really spicy at all. Only a few of the clams did not open all the way, but I was able to pry them open with a little work - not bad considering how many there were. My boyfriend got Double Catch G which was 1/2 lb shrimp and 1 cluster of snow crab legs. He really liked his meal as well, but had difficulty getting the meat out of the crab legs (which is normal, and messy). They do give you a bib, gloves, and utensils for cracking the crab legs. I have been here a couple times now and can say their food is good. The fried coconut shrimp, the wings, the chicken sliders too. I haven't tried a boil, but they have options for that also. Pricing is fair in my opinion. I love that they have an outside eating area with ample space and the staff wear masks when I have gone which is also a plus. We were seated as soon as we got there and I asked about a kids menu for my six year old and was told there isn't one (really, who doesn't have a kids menu?) I asked what people with kids usually get and was told "I dont know, a appetizer or something?" My son ended up eating a order of hush puppies, some French fries and some of my mom's soup. My son spilled his drink - because no kids meals means kids get large cups with no lids and it soaked the front of me. None of the employees made any effort to help clean up and in fact walked right past ignoring the fact that there was a small pool of lemonade on the table, floor and myself. Once I mopped up the best I could the pile of wet napkins sat on the table the remainder of our meal. Well hush puppies came out with my salad and about 5 minutes later my Bisque was served. I should have requested my soup and salad to come out with the po boy. But we dug into the hush puppies, it was served with melted butter. Pretty unique and really good. The were awesome way to start. Once we got the po boy, we started everythIng else. I shared my Bisque with hubby. It was really good. I ended up putting cracker in it. But it was gone before I knew it. The crab salad was lettuce and crab and I chose Caesar dressing. It could have used a little more crab, but for the price I guess it was ok.. My husband's po boy was on ciabotta bread and it had just enough crab but he expected it to be a little more overflowing. My husband has really wanted to try this place of awhile , so we finally got a chance to go on a Friday night and sad to say I Wasn't impressed !!! So we had to make reservations, but it wasn't overly crowded when we got there so I was confused , then the host wanted to sit us in a section that didn't have a server yet so we would have had NO service for 10 minutes or so... confused on why he would think we would want that ? So we ended up sitting somewhere else, the server we got was actually ok the place has lots of fish decorations up I guess it gives it the sea theme , lots of TV's over the bar and music was playing, they do have a DJ on certain nights not sure when or the times. Now the food i thought the boil was small and pricey compared to other places we've had them, and the drinks had NO kick ,I thought the raw and steamed oysters were "fresh" and the calamari was really good . I ordered the chicken wing basket and I thought the wings were good too. BUT something made me sick had me running to the bathroom half the night and into the next morning!!!! I had food delivered via Grubhub. We ordered several items and some drinks. Crab Meat Fries Crab Meat Poboy Crab Cheese Bread Crab Bisque Now crab meat tends to be neutral or fishy flavored on it's own. It's not like crawfish where you can really tell. So let's talk about the crab meat fries. It's basically thick cut fries with a handful of crab meat on top and a side of sauce to go over it. Now the crab meat is more or less there just for show but those fries stole the show. They were hot and so crispy and lots of seasoning. Now the next item. The crab meat po boy. It's a sad existence to be honest. It's a small boy and don't expect that crispy New Orleans style poboy bread because you're not gonna get it up north. It was dressed, and there was a thin layer of crab meat, but unfortunately, the tomato overpowers anything else on the sandwich so it was more or less like eating a tomato sandwich. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Now the next item on the list was the crab cheese bread. Now this bread was thick like 2" thick pizza cheese sticks type thick. However, obviously, even though there was crab meat on it the amount of cheese that was on it that made this seriously cheesy overpowered it. Now I will say that was some crispy outer edges for the cheese bread, which definitely saved it in my book. The only downside is the amount is probably no bigger than a cereal bowl. A normal cereal bowl not our overly huge US cereal bowls lol. Then the last thing on the list we got was the crab bisque. This was about a cup, maybe cup and a half in a container but this bisque had so much flavor and had a lot of crab meat in it along with celery and seasonings. It was so good that we were dunking the cheese bread in it. Now would I order here again. Probably. Probably not. I mean the food was decent and edible, but it's nothing over the top. Nothing a born southerner would recommend to a northerner. I mean if I have a day where I am craving some crispy french fries and some crispy cheese bread then yeah I'll definitely probably place an order here again but I mean if I'm craving serious seafood type dishes then it won't be my first choice as there is a much better option nearby on Cleveland Dr. I might try their seafood boils next time, but Old Bay seasoning is not my preference. This was a destination my Wife chose for her birthday, and when I saw the comparatively low prices I was more than happy to oblige. Firstly let me say that the portions of food here were grand to say the least, we left here with our "doggie bags" and completely full bellies. I tried the Aloha Sauce (which was presented as a combination of all their sauces) with a Cluster of Crab Legs and some "Mud Bugs" (Crawdads). The meal was just huge, I'd gotten an appetizer and kinda regretted that after seeing how much food they brought and how quickly they brought it. The Boil came with the standard fare of Corn, Potatoes and Main entrée. The serving staff was very attentive and courteous, and absolutely deserved the tip we gave and more (we went with 20%). Speaking of I like that they include a filled area with 15, 18 and 20% tips and total with tip that you can check in if you want or a line for Other were you can do the standard fill in of tip and total. This place was as good as any other place that does a crab boil, and as such makes them a front runner for my money next time we want Seafood. read more

I have been to this restaurant for now 5 times and this is my first review I could not believe I did not review this place yet....until now. The last time I was at the restaurant was with my husband celebrating his birthday. I had the crab bisque, hush puppies, and fried oyster po-boy. Hubby had a Cesar salad and the fried shrimp po-boy. The hush puppies were perfectly fried with lots of corn flavor, fresh corn in the dough, and paired with melted butter. The only critique I will give is that I wish there was more of a sauce to pair the hush puppies with rather than just plain melted butter (like spiced honey butter). The crab bisque was full of flavor, very creamy, the viscosity was very smooth and silky, and tasted like flavorful magic in my mouth. One of the best versions of crab bisque I have ever tasted. My husband loves his Cesar salads and he was not disappointed with this one. The lettuce was perfectly crisp, their Cesar Dressing was super tangy and flavorful that it paired well with the salad. Now for the po-boys. My fried oyster po-boy was beyond fabulous. The oysters were beautifully fried, and the ratios of bread, filling, and sauce were perfectly balanced that which actually made it a lot easier to eat. My biggest pet peeve of po-boys is that there is too much filling in between the bread that it gets very messy and difficult to eat. The oysters were seasoned beautifully and paired well with their brine and were not too fishy tasting which was very pleasurable. The sandwich was served with seasoned fries that paired well with the sandwich to the point where it helped elevate it if eaten together. Hubby's shrimp po-boy was flavored perfectly, with not too many toppings and sauce. He loved it so much that he devoured it in just a few bites. I asked him how it was and his response was it was gone. Paired with some delicious beers, this food was very much enjoyable and to die for. Freshness Seasoning Service I think the food is good, but overall it lacked flavor. I've had other boil bags that had tons of flavor left in the bag. The Aloha Krab seasoning was a bit watered down. The one thing that irked me more than anything was the billing. Since we had a party of 6, gratuity was automatically added. However, after the credit card was swiped, the bill to sign implied that we should add another 20%.
