I have been going to Aloha Moon for almost a year now whenever i have the time and am in Kapaa town. Michelle, the owner and masseuse, is so warm and professional. She is always willing to work with my schedule to fit me in even last minute, which is especially convenient for me since i get unpredictable migraine headaches and joint pain flare-ups. She gets all of my pressure points and knots and seems very intuitive regarding my pain issues. It's like she knows just where to put extra pressure and the flow of her massage is consistent from beginning to end- like i don't ever feel like she "missed a spot." I also bring my boyfriend in when she is available for couples massages and the other therapists are also very knowledgeable and make us feel relaxed and comfortable. Called Michelle for a couples massage yesterday. Warm and friendly she was able to fit us in same day. 20 minutes later we arrived and we were greeted but 2 of her associates. If you are a local or someone on vacation and need a massage therapist call Aloha Massage in Kapaa and secure an appointment with Sunshine. On my first visit I couldn't sit up by the time I left I was able to walk straighter then when I went in. That evening the pain in my upper back was gone. After the second visit I was able to walk even straighter then before and faster. I was also able to walk up the stairs easier and as a normal person walks a set of stairs. After the first session Sunshine suggested I make an appointment with Dr. Alice Ogawa, a chiropractor. From from what she felt in my back that seeing Dr. A. Ogawa in tandem with her lomi lomi massage that my healing would progress further. Both Sunshine and Dr. Ogawa said I have a large amount of tightness in my lower back.I would drive from Hanalei or Lehui to have Sunshine or Dr. Ogawa from Ogawa Chiropractic in Kapaa work on me any time. I SPECIFICALLY looked for someone who could do Lomi Lomi massage because in 1978 at the age of 23 and two young sons. The doctors told me that I needed surgery but the chance they gave me was a 50/50 chance I could come out confined to a wheelchair the rest of my.
