I allowed him to trim some of the limestone and replace the faucet and it all worked out. The faucet got replaced and I can't even tell the limestone got touched. I asked him about the water turn off switch for my house and he said it looked really old. From the appearance, it did look old. He wrote me an estimate and explained everything that needed to get done, so I went with it. He installed a pressure reducing valve in my house and installed a water shut off valve. He ensured my plumbing was up to code. Manny was patient and answered questions kindly. He went over each item on the list with me before I accepted it. I was looking to replace my entire AC system which is why it's important to find the best in the business and rated the best. It's also important to find more than one 5* business so you can get a better picture and quotes for such an expensive endeavor which I found helpful. If you're going to go all the way with such an expense, it's best to educate yourself as much as possible, and there's lots of YouTube videos on AC repair and replacement which you should watch prior to making that decision. You really need to be an informed and educated customer or you might find yourself with an inferior or wrong system. I found that certain AC companies want the steer you to certain brands they represent, so you may wish to decide on a brand first. I found that the Carrier Infiniti system with its very high seer rating and variable speed was the perfect choice. More details on this system in the photos below. If you live in a two-story house like mine, you can expect the price to be much greater due to the fact that you have dampeners which will need to be fixed or replaced which greatly adds to the bill. As for my AC, it was over 20 years old, but still chugging along. However, I knew there was going to be new mandates in 2025 which would greatly add to the expense of AC replacement such as a new refrigerant which is slightly flammable called Puranovance. I replaced my old R22 compressor with the new R-410a which is still readily available, but will eventually be phased out many years from now. I also mistakenly thought you'd get a good deal by replacing it during the cool months, but apparently a lot of people were doing what I was doing so no break in the price. As a matter fact, the date of manufacture of my new Infiniti compressor was only just a couple weeks old before it was installed. After some back-and-forth on pricing, we finally decided on a date of installation. Carl and his crew showed up and had everything installed within six hours and hauled off the old units. We still needed some troubleshooting in order to dial-in the thermostats functioning properly, but everything works perfectly now and the temperature remains exactly as you set it throughout the house. Both the compressor and the blower motor are incredibly quiet. Since I knew I needed this replacement at some point, I had enough money in the bank to cut a check for the job. When you sign up for Carl's service, you get Carl in the equation. Check out the photos below which show you the equipment, specs and the pricing. Update: After 2 weeks the plenum did separate, but I was able to use foil tape to close up the 8" gap. Personally, I think a 30 day check up would be a good idea not just for Carl, but anyone who gets this kind of installation from whatever company you choose.

He did a great job making the vision come alive and was transparent with any problems that arises (and importantly fixing them when necessary). He was friendly, fair with pricing, and also very quick-- framing and installation took only 2 separate, spread out days (to allow for drywalling and parts arrival in between). My personal experience with him in terms of communication was excellent, but I also purposefully avoided peak summer season so as not to catch him at a busy time. I saw Aloha Plumbing on Yelp with awesome reviews and decided to give them a call to get a second quote to fix 3 ft of PVC sewer line that had a tree root in it. The quote from a large franchise plumbing company was ridiculously high. He told me he couldn't come out for a couple of days but he gave me the best advice that most plumbers wouldn't share with you. He advised me to contact the city to come out since the issue was from the clean out to the street to have them access the issue. He also shared with me how to lower the costs of the repair should the city not fix the issue. Jarred went above and beyond your typical customer service. We had a water heater replaced by Aloha Plumbing. I received quotes for repair of the failed unit, and its replacement both and opted to go with replacement. They scheduled our service call for the day after my first call, which from my point of view is a good turn-around. The technician, Branden, arrived on time and based on the age of our water heater, recommended that we replace it. The replacement unit was already on hand in his truck, and with the help of two additional Aloha personnel who arrived shortly after, was completed. I found them professional, courteous, and patient -- with the last one being rather unusual for service people in my experience. I'm not a family friend or a relative of Jerred (sole owner of this business), and only relied on Yelp to find a trustworthy local plumber (or jack-of-all-trades) and Yelp didn't let me down: Jerred has integrity and practical knowledge of most things pertaining to house maintenance. In addition, he doesn't mind sharing insights or give advice on other potential household "issues" (that may arise) and, needless to say, he completed his job efficiently with no extra charges (on a hot day). Also, it is good that he can communicate via texts as you have to rely on unforeseen circumstance sometimes (like it happened in my case), so he was flexible and reliable, and would recommend him to anyone who needs this type of service. Called Jerred and he was here within 2 hours. With our original water heater the copper connecting water pipes were soldered in. As they were 25 year old I wanted them replaced. Jerred skillfully removed the old shut off valve and replaced it with one where the flexible feeder pipes could be simply screwed on. Jerred is very personable, helpful and knowledgeable. In particular, Chris F. has consistently demonstrated exceptional skill and professionalism on every project of mine. His attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship set him apart as a truly outstanding plumber. Project Background I recently purchased an older home, full of charm and distinctive bathrooms. However, I encountered a leak in the master shower that required the p-trap under the shower drain to be replaced before new tile work could be completed. My concern was that reconnecting the new p-trap to the antique cast iron drains in the foundation might cause the cast iron to crumble. Chris F.'s Approach and Solutions Chris came to the rescue, using a camera down the drain to evaluate the situation. He explained the difference between what was probable and what was possible, providing two bids: one for the probable good case and one for the possible problem case. Having used Chris before with excellent results, I trusted his methods, which are always the least intrusive and focused on effective access. In the worst-case scenario, Chris would need to cut and excavate a 2' x 2' hole in the foundation around the shower drain, then tunnel no more than five feet under the foundation from that access point to secure a solid connection to the iron drainpipe. In the best-case scenario, he would only need to excavate a 2' x 2' hole around the shower drain to replace and secure the new p-trap. He also showed me pictures of his past work for reassurance. Successful Outcome Fortunately, the best-case and probable case prevailed. While fixing the p-trap, Chris also discovered an unrelated drain leak under the foundation, which he repaired at no extra charge. I felt I received excellent value for the service provided. Professionalism and Work Quality Chris left the work site clean, as he has always done in the past. He and his co-worker collaborated well, using a small and quiet jackhammer designed specifically for plumbing foundation work. The new drain looks beautiful, and I can confidently proceed with the new tile work, knowing that the unseen part of the shower is sound and affordable. Appreciation Thanks to O & M Plumbing for introducing me to Chris F. and Mike. Both are good and considerate professionals, and I am grateful to have them working in my home.
