We were searching for a quick place to eat that would be on the healthier side and came across the recommendation of Aloha Salads in Andrew Doughty's "The Ultimate Kauai Guidebook." Since it was easy to get to from where we were, we stopped in and ordered. I ordered the Aloha Passion salad with chicken. (The menu doesn't say you can order it with chicken, but you can.) It was one of the very best salads I have ever eaten. Everything about it was unique, fresh, and delicious. My wife also greatly enjoyed what she ordered. The guava lemonade was really good, too, though I might have preferred a slightly stronger guava taste. Nonetheless, it was very refreshing. The environment is about what you'd expect for a strip-mall, counter-service eatery, but you can sit downstairs or upstairs (which was a bit of a surprise), and it's nice and cool inside. Service was friendly and helpful, and the food came up pretty quickly. Eating here was just what the doctor ordered, and I would easily come back here again to try other things or, more likely, to order the Aloha Passion salad again...and again...and again. :)

Aloha salads is always a good choice if you want something fresh and on the healthier side. They offer a number of salads, wraps and they have the best tomato bisque! I've tried many of their wraps and my favorites are the steak, ahi, pesto chicken, and the tutu wrap. The pita bread they use is super delicious. Everything has a lot of flavor and the portion is pretty big. It's a little pricy but worth it in my opinion. I was able to save half of my wrap for another time and left full. They also have the best grilled cheese that goes well with their soup.

This Aloha Salads is located in the middle of Kapolei Commons Shopping Center in between Target and Petco. Lots of family activities to do with this delicious spot to eat! Lots of parking as well. Our Go-To's here is the Gyro, Ahi Salad, and a Keiki Meal. Acai bowls always added when craving! Food here is always ono and tastes fresh. Most Wraps you can turn into a salad as well! Or visa versa. They have limited outside seating and indoor seating with a small upstairs area too. Note only stairs to get up but a clever way to utilize their small space! When they're busy which was today, their staff is efficient and nice! However this one stop in particular caught me off guard which is why for the 3 star rating. If ranking for the past stops it would have been a 4-5. Today I placed an online order thinking they might be busy during a Sunday lunch rush. However after my order was placed and paid for, I added an additional item seperate to my order in person. They had me pay the difference upon ordering and arrival which was fine and expected. However, when I tried paying just for the Acai bowl the POS on my side said I still had a balance which was the full total from my online order. So I tried clarifying with the girl the register she said no it's fine it's our system acting up. And I'm like are you sure? Maybe my online card from my Google wallet was expired because I got a notification from my phone my payment got canceled even tho I saw it go through on my credit card app. She said No it went through. I verified with her again and she said, no you're good. When I got our full order, I left and drove out of the shopping center already. I got a call from them saying I didn't pay my full balance and explained to them on the phone about what had just happened. So I had to drive back and pay which wasted my time. Arriving back again, their line was near the door. I went straight to the front of the line and the staff saw me. However, they did not let the next person in line know they were helping me so I felt the eyes of those behind me watching the situation unfold. I had to reexplain what happened again in person, then it looks like the person that added the acai bowl to my online order just canceled my online payment and only charged me for the acai bowl. I had to figure out what was going on. I checked my online payment and my card was not expired so it was not on me. I did see it was a training opportunity for them which I don't mind and understand. However what I did not appreciate was no apologies, no explanations, and no thank you for coming back. Especially the first girl that helped me the first time. She saw me and walked away to continue making food. Being an honest customer I came back, I know there are others who would have not and would have just ignored the call.

I tried something new today. It was so delicious!!! The guava lemonade was so good and mouth watering! I also enjoyed the steak wrap that was recommended to me by an employee. The tomato bisque was the best soup I've ever had. There I say it's next to Chicken Gnocchi and I love chicken gnocchi! I use to go to Aloha Salads all the time years ago. Always loved it. Today it was just ok. Husband liked his steak wrap although he said it was really messy! He liked that there was a lot of steak but hated how messy and "all over the place" the wrap was. My Kamuela Cobb was just ok. Nothing special just an average ok spring salad with 2 small pieces (very small pieces) of bacon, and super small portion of avocado. I felt like the chicken was bleh and the salad dressing was super "watery" Probably won't be coming back anytime soon. Would have rated it a 2.5 but gave it a 3 because of the amount of steak given and it was a healthier choice for me besides eating at raising canes, which my kids ate at. Service- the cashier was a young girl that could have done better- was not friendly and had a little bit of an attitude! Hoping this place does better because it is great to have healthier options for us locals!

Ended up in Kapolei after visiting Coral Crater Adventure Park. Figured it was time to eat something healthier than musubi and similar meat/rice combinations that I was enjoying very much. The guava lemonade and Ono island ahi salad was light and refreshing.

It's amazing how normalized it's become to not want to take accountability. Imagine you come home, long day of work, you buy a meal and when you get ready to eat there is a fat fly in your food. You show them and they say "do you want a new salad". Uhh no, I want a refund. But it is so common they are unphased by it. You get told you got to wait 3-5 days to get a refund. Trash service, they have fallen far from my first review. But here is your reminder to check your food cause it's like rolling dice nowadays.

Goddess Salad with added garbanzo beans and beats. I added the chicken at home myself. Delicious flavors!

Yum! I just had the most delicious salad ever from Aloha Salads Kapolei that truly hit the spot! I placed an online order and it was easy to do. Unforunately, they were out of tomato bisque soup, but they did have the Goddess Salad which is super yummy with fresh greens, avocado, papaya, sliced almonds and green goddess dressing! I opted for a few add ons: garbanzo beans and beets. Once I got home, I added the chicken on top myself. The ingredients were so fresh and the papaya and avocado were perfectly ripe! I loved the addition of the beets which gave it an earthiness. The way it all came together was marvelous. They served the salad with a side of warm pita which was great, too. I will definitely be back for this salad and more!

Gyro Wrap soaked in warm soup. Unfortunately, the manager said they are not able to replace it. Just the soup.

Opened up the bag of items we ordered at work. Soup was spilled everywhere, all sandwiches were soaked and they also placed the hot soup right next to the Acai Bowl. Called them and "Calina" answers, I calmly explain to her what happened and she said that they close all the soups with lids and that I opened up the soup. So not only did they deny that they were at fault but also insisted that I opened it up. I told her I have pics of everything and she said to bring back the soup (spilled soup) and that's the only thing they would replace. Wow. Calina first said her name was Jen and that she was the manager. After I asked her who was her boss-she changed her name to from Jen to Calina and said Jen was her boss. See pictures attached. Would you want your sandwiches soaked with tomato soup? Hmmmm.. Also wondering how I would bring back the soup that's spilled and dripping all over the bag the next day.

Mmmm...delicious. I work in kapolei commons and when I'm not organized, I buy a salad from here for lunch. I love the kamuela cobb 1/2 salad and a cup of tomato bisque soup..so good and all for around $10! Such a steal! I will be here weekly! Did I mention the customer service is top notch?! read more

It's a solid OK. The counter people did not know the ingredients of the dressings and had to hunt them down. Papaya was squishy and gross. The downtown location is much better. read more

Awesome, affordable and fresh! We tried five different salads and all were delicious! Also--the chicken curry wrap was incredibly flavorful. The addition of coconut sealed the deal. Wish we had this back in Michigan. Tip: it gets super busy at lunchtime. I placed our order and paid, went to target and then came back to pick up. read more

Usually great but today the curry chicken wrap was gross. I always get the same thing so I know when something is wrong. The chicken was over cooked and SO dry and stringy ... it's like they microwaved it to death or something. I took it to go otherwise I would have returned it. Dissatisfied, on my birthday too. read more

Been hearing a lot about this place so I decided to try. I had the tomato bisque and a small ono island ahi salad. It was so good! Love that the salads are made fresh(can see the staff preparing them) and the best part is that they use local grown produce items. The pita bread is really good too, pairs really well w/ the tomato bisque. The staff was friendly too. read more

Not so friendly staff. But the food was delicious. We walked in and two girls were at the counter talking and did not greet us even after we had been standing there for a few minutes looking over the menu. I had the turkey sub which was so good and my husband has the aloha pineapple wrap and he loved it. He said that he would eat there every day if he could lol. We will definitely be back and hopefully next time will be greeted by a friendlier staff. read more

Delicious! Amazing find in Oahu!! Beet salad w goat cheese and mango, added shrimp, yum!! Kids had caprese sandwich slightly warmed and a warm PB, banana and honey on a soft wrap...wow! They ate it all. Thoroughly impressed, locally grown produce though I don't know about the meat products. Awesome! Will visit again soon. read more

Aloha Salads is the best salad restaurant I have ever been too. Everyone is so friendly and nice and the portion sizes are awesome as well. I've been going here almost everyday for a week now, and each girl smiles and greets me by my name as I walk in. I try to order something different every time to explore the whole menu and every time, line or no line, these girls can produce my order within seconds. You have to try their clam chowder on Fridays and coconut chicken curry on Thursdays, its to die for! I honestly believe that no tip amount is big enough to reward the hard work these girls put in everyday. Keep doing what you're doing! read more

This place is def on the pricey side but apparently not enough to keep me from coming back. Service can be slow on somedays so be prepared to possibly wait a while (weekends.) The fruits and veggies are always fresh and are just too good not to come back for!! I haven't been to their other locations at all but this one is fairly new and always look super clean and bright! read more

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE ALOHA SALADS!!! The Hummus Pita Wrap, Aloha Mediterranean Salad, and Steak Wrap are the only things I've tried from here, but all have been incredibly delicious. The ingredients always taste very fresh and the blend of flavors is superb. I do also enjoy the Make your Own Fruit Bowl, always fresh and delightful. The employees are friendly, polite, and always wearing a smile on their faces. The service is great & so is the food. The prices are a little high for a salad, but I find it to be well worth it. Eating healthy just got fun again with Aloha Salads! :) read more

Didn't think I'd ever rate a "salad" place, but this place is pretty good. Went for first time yesterday. I had kahuku shrimp and my friend had the mandarin ginger. Both were good and both of our plates were completely cleared. Maybe a little pricy, but I don't mind paying for quality food, so no big deal. Only real complaint I had was limited seating, but didn't go here to sit. :-) I'll be back here. read more

Love this place! For the longest time I never wanted to try it because I thought they only had salads...which doesn't necessarily fill me up! But I was wrong! The salad portions are really small for price you pay c'mon now let's be realistic. If you like dishes with no flavor then this is the place. Paid over $10 for a kahuku shrimp salad only got 3 pieces of shrimp and the sauce tastes like cardboard. Wasted $20 for two crappy salads. Not ever coming here again. read more

After reading other reviews I dropped by and order the Steak wrap. The meat was tender and this was one of the better sandwiches I've had in a long time. The salads looked great. The portions are a little small for the size but for the islands it is not overpriced. The quality is good. The fact that this place is busy is a good indicator for the quality. Seating is limited during busy times. read more

Prices here are a bit high, but fresh ingredients speak for itself. Docked a star because the combo's 1/2 sandwich is just SOOOOO SMALL... Honestly better off buying a full sub, with side tomato bisque. Spent $21 for a sandwich so small. Flavor is awesome. But if really hungry, go to subway next door. read more

Good local spot to pop in and grab something healthy. Ingredients were very fresh and tasty. The grilled steak over salad was not my fav but good enough. Probably not the best quality beef, but overall was good. Very small, so if you have a larger party plan on getting it to go. read more

Honestly - Sad to leave this review it was a 3 but then I called and talked with the manager and she was even worse than the salads so now the score is lower. We placed an order for 2 salads via Door Dash - TWO DAYS in a row. Now I understand Aloha Salads does not do business with Door Dash, but still - the order was not made how it was requested. When we called Aloha Salads to inquire about the order all we received from the manager was - we cant help because we dont use or partner with Door Dash. Hum - where to turn - all we wanted was lunch and it made as we ordered it. Aloha Salads - you should contact Door Dash and open a claim against them - they should not say they work with you when you dont work with them. Door Dash is obviously doing some poor business operations, but in the end Aloha Salads - did not make the customer the meal correctly and or try to make it up to me the customer. - Over Priced salads that never seam to be made the way they are ordered read more

Great food, but don't be fooled that its completely healthy! if your a calorie counter their ahi salad can rack up 650calories., don't even try and calorie count with the steak salad..lol but that doesn't change the fact that their salads are a great combination of flavors and textures. soups arent house made but taste meh. stick to their salads and you'll walk away content! read more

I love this place. Went today for the first time and my fiancé and I are hooked. It's healthy food, it's local food, and it is very, very good. I had the steak wrap and my fiancé had the curried chicken wrap. As a mainlander, when I close my eyes and imagine what healthy, delicious, Hawaiian food is supposed to be like--this is what I think of. Both wraps had interesting combinations of traditional ingredients along with some not so traditional fixings. Everything was fresh and the staff was very friendly. Highly recommend this place! read more

This place is great! Went in for lunch with a friend and decided on the curry chicken wrap. It was delicious!!! It tasted so fresh, even my one year old enjoyed it. The only issue I had was the seating. Space is limited even with upstairs bar seating and a few tables. When it's busy you'd have to wait for a table to open up to dine in. Luckily for us a table opened up after we ordered. I cannot wait to try the other items on the menu. read more

After happy hour wrapped up, I moved on to the dinner menu and ordered the Half Pound House Burger and fries for my entree. The burger was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. Overall, the food and ambiance were absolutely outstanding, and the service was prompt, attentive, and friendly from start to finish. The noise level was perfectly moderate, letting us enjoy both the live music and our own conversation. We had a great time and will absolutely be back!

Since we ordered and paid on our phones and had to get our own water, the only service we really received was having our food brought to the table. We still tipped around 20%, but it didn't feel like the level of service matched the tip. Overall, this visit didn't live up to my previous experiences here. While I appreciate the convenience of the new ordering system, the change in the acai bowl and the limited service make me question whether I'll be returning anytime soon.

I got checked on more by Carali and the other guy in training. The energy was just not there, which kind of brought the mood down Luckily the food never disappoints and was on point at the end. It was sad the dip wasn't warm, but they made up for it. The dynamite shrimp was nice and crisp, which had a sauce that was just a touch spicy, but not. Oh yeah, after the spinach dip coming back, I finally got to ask for the water again as we were still waiting for it. I really do overall enjoy coming here and will be back still! Ambiance is nice and clean, bathroom cleanliness is everything and that deserves an A+. I do sometimes feel the floor is a bit sticky. I do love my spinach dip and garlic cream fettuccini! I do really hope to have Carali as my server/bartender! She is always attentive, quick, and easy to talk to! Very good with her server intuition! I also miss having Jayna or Jana as my server. She is pretty on point too! I need to come back for my butter cake! I still want to try the flight!

While there were a few disappointments, the pork tacos helped redeem the meal. I'd consider coming back, but I'd likely skip some of the items I tried this visit.

The fish Jin was seasoned so well I barely needed to dip it into a sauce. The portions could have fed 2. I asked if they were related to the Gina's in Market City. Bro, this is the OG Gina's!! The owner said they sold the other one and his mom helped him start this one. It looked like the whole family was behind the counter. I wanted to cry. Not all things have changed in Hawai'i! Some things got better! OG Gina's being in Kapolei is one of em.

I had a really disappointing experience at Aloha Salads. My husband and I spent about $45 on two salads and even tipped the staff on top of that, expecting a pleasant dinner. We arrived around 7:30 PM but had to wait a while to place our order. Our salads didn't come out until about 15 minutes later. We started eating right away, but shortly after that the staff began rushing us out because they close at 8:00. Before we could even finish our meals, the staff started sweeping and stacking chairs right next to us. It felt incredibly rude and uncomfortable, especially considering we had just paid a fairly high price for what was supposed to be a relaxed dinner. The young women working there made it very clear they wanted us gone immediately, even though we were still eating. What made the situation even more frustrating was seeing them turn away several customers who came in after us, despite it still being before closing time. It left a really bad impression. People work hard to earn the money they spend on dinner, and it's disappointing to be treated like an inconvenience after paying and tipping. Aloha Salads Kapolei has become one of my favorite places to eat. My daughter and I love it here! I always have a sandwich and soup combo. Club Sub on Pita bread with a tomato Bisque soup. YUMMIE.. The pita bread is delicious warm with your soup. Because its always during lunch time I usually phone in the order. when you arrive there is a phone order line that you can walk straight to and pick up your order. It is pricey. But it tastes so yummie we keep on going back for more! The one thing I would want them to improve on is their ordering process. Just having one person take phone orders, cashier and take orders from customers in line seems to be too much work for one person especially during peak times. read more

Ive been in there a few times now and every time it gets better. For starters, no matter how busy it is in there, which is everytime i've gone. Someone from the staff always greets me. They might not always see me walk in, but somehow never fails, "Hi" or "How's it going?" Recently, a tall bald guy with tattoos has been at the register and I think he's a manager or something cause he's alwaysdoing 3 things while taking my order and yet is always cool, calm, and friendly. Just ok for me. I had the Kahuku spinach salad and it came with four grilled shrimp that didn't have that much flavor. Some thin bacon the kind you get on a fast food sandwich and two slices of avocado. I also tried the seafood bisque and it was just ok too. The soup was not very warm and tasted like pre- frozen kind heat and serve. Good for healthier options. I may go back to try something else, just kinda $$$ for what you get, but better than eating junk when your on the go. Friendly fast service! read more

Love Aloha Salads. Everything is super fresh and actually tastes really good (not just "healthy good" lol). You can tell the ingredients are quality, and the portions are solid too. The tomato bisque is honestly to die for - warm, creamy, and super comforting. I literally crave it. The salads are always crisp and flavorful, and there are so many good combos that it never gets boring. It's one of my go-to spots when I want something that feels good and tastes amazing. I just came on here to say that their tomato bisque soup is AMAZING. I love their salads of course, but I had the grilled cheese and tomato bisque combo from a competitor in the same plaza (DONT wanna say any names lol) and Aloha Salad's grilled cheese and tomato bisque is loadssssss better. Even the grilled cheese is better at Aloha Salad's. I learned my lesson and not getting my grilled cheese and tomato bisque anywhere else. Lol. The salads are also so good! Awesome atomsphere.... My favorite place to eat and its on the west side. Cool. Walking in to the store was a great feeling with a aloha from all the employees. It was very welcoming. And the food well always great for me. It was nice. I always eat in Kahala mall but to have a store with it's own seating that made a difference. Love the fresh and local produce more and more. Great find! It is near shops so very convenient plus the place is clean and serves healthy meals. I had Ono Island Ahi Salad with fresh greens, mangos and strawberries dribbled with vinaigrette for $13.95. The taste was refreshing and the Ahi was delicious and seasoned well.
