Well, I thought I've reviewed this place before, but it appears I haven't. I have come to recently love and appreciate their Gyro Wrap. My wife and I have started coming weekly considering how delicious it is. Who would have thought a gyro from a salad restaurant would be this good. I highly recommend giving it a try if you like gyros. The meat has a ton of flavor. The greens are healthy and soft. Their cheese and sauce is also really good. I am craving one as I write this review. LoL. There is always plenty of parking in this shopping center. The interior is nothing fancy out trendy, but is comfortable. The stars appear to be a bunch of young women. They are kind and get the job done. If you like gyros, this place is worth a shot. read more

I personally would recommend this location over the Kahala Aloha Salads because the employees at the Kapolei location actually acknowledge you and work very efficiently. It was a bit on the messier side because I unwrapped parchment paper from the wrong end and ended up looking like I was eating a sloppy Joe sandwich lol. We came for a gyros but felt like we had to try the "famous grilled cheese combo." I will say, the grilled cheese is pretty good! It goes perfect with the tomato bisque soup. I think I would have to crave this combo to get this specifically again but if someone were also craving it, I think I'd recommend it. The service is okay, the girls that served us were young and still working on their customer service. But they are doing their job in getting orders out correctly. There's seating area upstairs and downstairs. I did think that the cleaning chemicals were so strong; that's all we can smell in the dining area so it threw off what I was anticipating to eat. 1 placed an order from Aloha Salads yesterday, and I wanted to share some concerns about the packaging. When my order arrived, there was liquid and dressing leaking from the container, making the bottom of the plate wet. In addition, the packaging was not sealed. For food safety and customer confidence, I believe orders should be sealed before being handed to the delivery driver. A sealed package helps provide reassurance that the food has not been opened, handled, or exposed during delivery. Always had a good experience here. Usually get the grilled cheese and tomato soup. Today I came to try their steak wrap and didn't even realize it was 20 minutes until close until after I ordered (they close at 8 by the way). We were searching for a quick place to eat that would be on the healthier side and came across the recommendation of Aloha Salads in Andrew Doughty's "The Ultimate Kauai Guidebook." Since it was easy to get to from where we were, we stopped in and ordered. I ordered the Aloha Passion salad with chicken. (The menu doesn't say you can order it with chicken, but you can.) It was one of the very best salads I have ever eaten. Everything about it was unique, fresh, and delicious. My wife also greatly enjoyed what she ordered. The guava lemonade was really good, too, though I might have preferred a slightly stronger guava taste. Nonetheless, it was very refreshing. The environment is about what you'd expect for a strip-mall, counter-service eatery, but you can sit downstairs or upstairs (which was a bit of a surprise), and it's nice and cool inside. Service was friendly and helpful, and the food came up pretty quickly. Eating here was just what the doctor ordered, and I would easily come back here again to try other things or, more likely, to order the Aloha Passion salad again...and again...and again. :) read more

Went to Kahala Mall location and no one was at the register. I waited, then a male showed up and stood in front of the register and looked at me. I said hi and placed my order. He literally only asked my name for the order. Doesn't anyone greet customers anymore? Value your customers or they may not return. The food was fine. read more

Aloha salads is always a good choice if you want something fresh and on the healthier side. They offer a number of salads, wraps and they have the best tomato bisque! I've tried many of their wraps and my favorites are the steak, ahi, pesto chicken, and the tutu wrap. The pita bread they use is super delicious. Everything has a lot of flavor and the portion is pretty big. It's a little pricy but worth it in my opinion. I was able to save half of my wrap for another time and left full. This Aloha Salads is located in the middle of Kapolei Commons Shopping Center in between Target and Petco. Lots of family activities to do with this delicious spot to eat! Lots of parking as well. Our Go-To's here is the Gyro, Ahi Salad, and a Keiki Meal. Acai bowls always added when craving! Food here is always ono and tastes fresh. Most Wraps you can turn into a salad as well! Or visa versa. They have limited outside seating and indoor seating with a small upstairs area too. Note only stairs to get up but a clever way to utilize their small space! When they're busy which was today, their staff is efficient and nice! However this one stop in particular caught me off guard which is why for the 3 star rating. If ranking for the past stops it would have been a 4-5. Today I placed an online order thinking they might be busy during a Sunday lunch rush. However after my order was placed and paid for, I added an additional item seperate to my order in person. They had me pay the difference upon ordering and arrival which was fine and expected. However, when I tried paying just for the Acai bowl the POS on my side said I still had a balance which was the full total from my online order. So I tried clarifying with the girl the register she said no it's fine it's our system acting up. And I'm like are you sure? Maybe my online card from my Google wallet was expired because I got a notification from my phone my payment got canceled even tho I saw it go through on my credit card app. She said No it went through. I verified with her again and she said, no you're good. When I got our full order, I left and drove out of the shopping center already. I got a call from them saying I didn't pay my full balance and explained to them on the phone about what had just happened. So I had to drive back and pay which wasted my time. Arriving back again, their line was near the door. I went straight to the front of the line and the staff saw me. However, they did not let the next person in line know they were helping me so I felt the eyes of those behind me watching the situation unfold. I had to reexplain what happened again in person, then it looks like the person that added the acai bowl to my online order just canceled my online payment and only charged me for the acai bowl. I had to figure out what was going on. I checked my online payment and my card was not expired so it was not on me. I did see it was a training opportunity for them which I don't mind and understand. However what I did not appreciate was no apologies, no explanations, and no thank you for coming back. Especially the first girl that helped me the first time. She saw me and walked away to continue making food. Being an honest customer I came back, I know there are others who would have not and would have just ignored the call. read more

My boss got this for me and a coworker a couple weeks ago and it was good. I got the tutu's wrap and it reminded me of Panera bread's retired chicken salad one. In short it was yum! I use to go to Aloha Salads all the time years ago. Always loved it. Today it was just ok. Husband liked his steak wrap although he said it was really messy! He liked that there was a lot of steak but hated how messy and "all over the place" the wrap was. My Kamuela Cobb was just ok. Nothing special just an average ok spring salad with 2 small pieces (very small pieces) of bacon, and super small portion of avocado. I felt like the chicken was bleh and the salad dressing was super "watery" Probably won't be coming back anytime soon. Would have rated it a 2.5 but gave it a 3 because of the amount of steak given and it was a healthier choice for me besides eating at raising canes, which my kids ate at. Service- the cashier was a young girl that could have done better- was not friendly and had a little bit of an attitude! Yum! I just had the most delicious salad ever from Aloha Salads Kapolei that truly hit the spot! I placed an online order and it was easy to do. Unforunately, they were out of tomato bisque soup, but they did have the Goddess Salad which is super yummy with fresh greens, avocado, papaya, sliced almonds and green goddess dressing! I opted for a few add ons: garbanzo beans and beets. Once I got home, I added the chicken on top myself. The ingredients were so fresh and the papaya and avocado were perfectly ripe! I loved the addition of the beets which gave it an earthiness. The way it all came together was marvelous. They served the salad with a side of warm pita which was great, too. Was craving for Aloha Salad and ordered their Ono Island Ahi, Tomato Bisque, Pastrami Melt (new item), strawberry lemonade, and ube lemonade. Their salad and Tomato Bisque is always on point. Tried their new pastrami melt, it was okay, the sauce took away the flavor from the Pastrami. I'd try it again next time, minus the sauce and spicy slaw. Service is terrible. I placed an online order 20 minutes in advance. I got there and there was a line and the workers were prepping an order. I saw my order on the counter. I waited until they were done/the customer grabbed the order and once there were 2 workers that weren't doing anything, I told an older lady that i was just picking up my order. She said I have to wait in line. I assumed she meant to pay so I told her it was already paid for and she just stared at me. I thought they had to do something in the system to complete my order so i went back into line. Customer in front of me has a $200 order and the old lady that I spoke with starts making her order before just handing me mine thats sitting on the counter. As Im waiting I see the two workers who weren't busy pointing at my order then pointing at me. I wait 20 more minutes, and I get to the front of the line and the cashier just hands it to me. Aloha Salads is a fab favorite of mine whether in Kailua or Kapolei. They have plenty of healthy options that are all so truly delicious from salads to wraps to sandwiches. It'd a walk up and order type restaurant. My favorite is the Aloha Caesar, add grilled shrimp with the blackened ahi seasoning. Chefs kiss. They have seating downstairs and also upstairs in the loft. Located in Kapolei Commons, you are close to tons of shopping and ample parking. read more

Opened up the bag of items we ordered at work. Soup was spilled everywhere, all sandwiches were soaked and they also placed the hot soup right next to the Acai Bowl. Called them and "Calina" answers, I calmly explain to her what happened and she said that they close all the soups with lids and that I opened up the soup. So not only did they deny that they were at fault but also insisted that I opened it up. I told her I have pics of everything and she said to bring back the soup (spilled soup) and that's the only thing they would replace. Wow. Calina first said her name was Jen and that she was the manager. After I asked her who was her boss-she changed her name to from Jen to Calina and said Jen was her boss. See pictures attached. A more recent visit is leading me to lower my 5 star review to 1, which I guess makes sense because it has been a few years. The service here has taken a hit and I witnessed some things that makes me not want to come back. Let me start with the service time. . .way too long. It shouldn't take just over half an hour to generate one normal sized salad and one small one, the ladies behind the line looked like they were on vacation, lazily assembling salads, but I can deal with that. I understand that food service is hard work and sometimes you just need to hit the brakes, what I can't deal with (and the reason for my low score) is unsafe food handling. Knowing I was there watching them one of the employees accidentally put tomatoes on an order that asked to exclude them. Her response? Scrape them off and throw them BACK INTO THE CONTAINER ON THE LINE! You don't do that! She should have remade the order from scratch and discarded the tomatoes that had been used accidentally to prevent cross contamination. If the individual that ordered that salad had an allergy then that allergy could be triggered by the juices left on the salad, likewise, if someone had an allergy to anything else in that salad then the contaminated tomatoes could also trigger something. This is basic food safety, you literally don't even need to work with food to know that. I'd go as far as to say that it is common sense. You know what else is common sense? Wearing gloves when making food, which one of them decided was unnecessary, she then proceeded to pick up a fork BY THE HEAD, the part that goes in your mouth, with her ungloved hands, for my sister in law's order. I ended up throwing that fork away and giving her mine since my salad was for work where I would have access to other utensils. Apparently Yelp wants me to talk about ambiance too? I would say the "ambiance" is a 3/10, the upper floor seems to be used to store old equipment, which is kind of weird for part of the dining room. In the end, the staff's flagrant disregard for basic food safety and hygiene means that I strongly recommend that you avoid this location. Management needs to get their act together and train their employees before someone gets sick, as a matter of fact, I should probably report this to the state. read more

If I'm needing a fuller meal, I'll order the curried chicken wrap with a side of their tomato basil soup. Aloha Salads is known for their "Design Your Own Salad" that starts at $9.25 for a small or $11.25 for large. Just the right amount of curry flavor complemented by raisins and grapes. Light and tasty...if a bit messy. At $10.95 it's a decent value. On my first visit, I got the Southwestern Bowl. Quality of their salads have gone down in the last year. Ordered a small Cobb salad with grilled chicken and this is what I got below. Second time this week the salad quality was poor. Great for vegetarians and vegans! Aloha Salads is located in a large outdoor shopping center with a huge parking lot. The eatery is small but had a two tables for dining outside and two tables for inside dining (upstairs). The menu selection included wraps, salads, acai bowls, submarine sandwiches and Buddha Bowls. They also had a kids' menu and a vegan menu. We ordered the Vegan Aloha Wrap, the Fresh Island Ahi Wrap and two Acai Bowls at the counter and waited about 10 minutes until our food was packed and ready to go. Our food was packaged well and in average portion. I loved my Aloha Pineapple Wrap and my bf loved his Ahi Wrap. We ate outside at one of the two tables. It was comfortable. Service was great. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant for vegans/ vegetarians who want to grab a fast and healthy bite. read more
