We ordered the macadamia nut banana pancakes with scrambled eggs, one bacon and one sausage, and a spam loco moco with fried rice (the $3 upgrade is absolutely worth it). This spot is conveniently located near my work, so my coworkers and I drop by every now and then. I always *mean* to write a review--but the food disappears into my stomach so quickly before I can snap a photo.... Today I tried the macadamia toast (\$13.50), and it was absolutely delicious. I do wish it came with a macadamia sauce instead of the regular syrup, but honestly, the toast was so flavorful it didn't even need it. And let me just say--their cheesecake puts Cheesecake Factory to shame. It's less sweet and dense, which I actually love. I've been wanting to try this place and decided to go! When we arrived there was a long line but surprisingly it went by very quickly. There was a worker who kept coming out to talk to people in line and thank us for waiting. He was so kind. We loved the vibes from inside. I love that they had really good music playing. Our first time eating here and was a bit disappointed with the food's lack of seasoning. We ordered the avacodo Omelette. The omlette was over cooked, dry, and lacked seasoning. The home fried potatoes lacked seasoning, too. The tater tots tasted frozen. However, the bakery items were good. We went on a Friday and it was extremely busy. Wonder if that had an impact on the food's taste. Also, cashier lady was a bit overwhelmed and lacked friendliness. Again, I came really enthusiastic about eating here and left disappointed. Wow! This place has quickly become a top choice of brunch spots in the area for us. We ordered the Katsu Loco Moco and Captain Mac Nut French Toast, and I'm literally dreaming about coming back. Both dishes were made to perfection and together were an amazing sweet and savory combination. For drinks, we got the Hawaiian latte (coconut and macadamia nut) and the POG juice. Both were amazing and a nice addition to our meal. We also were able to bring our pup with us, which was an added bonus for us! I'm someone who likes to get something sweet and then whoever I'm there with gets something savory so we can have best of both worlds. I walked up to the counter and saw on a chalkboard "Brekkie Tots" and was immediately sold. I love a good breakfast potato situation. My daughter got the Ube Coconut Pancakes. I can't even describe how blown away I was when I took the first bite of my food. Typically, tater tots are pretty standard, but these were perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. They made such a perfect pairing to the rich and savory eggs, bacon, sausage, and sour cream. For being such a rich and meaty dish, it was not greasy in the slightest. 10/10, highly recommended. Then we have the ube coconut pancakes. If you are a fan of ube, you will LOVE these. The coconut compliments the ube flavor so well. The pancakes come with an ube sauce on top, and they also give you a container of coconut sauce to pour on. My daughter didn't seem to think the coconut sauce was necessary, but I quite enjoyed it! For being such a dessert-like pancake, it was not overwhelmingly sweet. Fluffy, fresh, and would definitely get again! 10/10 I haven't stopped thinking about this place since I came. Croissant Breakfast Melt was just meh nothing to rave about, eggs were not the best, But the macadamia nut waffle was amazing, it was light and fluffy with a crispy outside, the syrup/cream topping they give you was pretty sweet but very delicious. My brother recommended Aloha Stacks since this location just recently opened a few months ago by his place. I've never been so I was very excited to try this place. We ordered the ube coconut pancakes which was to die for and a must have. We also shared the loco moco with spam with fried rice which was amazing. My other brother also had the loco moco with hamburger patties that were also very good. My nephews had the waffle with bacon and eggs and chicken fingers and fries. They also enjoyed their food. The portions were generous, casual dining space, and affordable menu. The staff were also super friendly and attentive. It was very busy but the line moved quickly. There is really nothing wrong with this counter service breakfast/ lunch place. In fact, it's perfect for my wife and I since she is Mexican American and my family is from Hawaii. However, don't come here expecting real local kine food, it's more like a Mexican/Local style fusion. I really need to try a few more things to make it worthy of more than three stars. We came on a Friday morning and it was busier than expected, but the service was quite quick. The place looks exactly like it did when it was a Corner Bakery, just with different decorations. I had the Kalua pork omelette and my wife had the Avocado omelette. The omelettes come with sides, but only the rice is no extra charge. A dollar more for pancake and 3 dollars more for fried rice. My wife had toast and they also up charged her a buck. My omelette was good and they serve them flat instead of folded over. We also ordered a pineapple coconut muffin that was excellent. However, all of that plus 2 coffees came out to 48 bucks. A little pricey if you ask me. We actually avoided the pancakes because of the price. Two ube coconut pancakes will run you 13 bucks. Two regular pancakes for 9 bucks- that's 4.50 each pancake! I suppose every place is expensive nowadays, but it's just a littler harder to order something I know I can make for under a dollar at home. I will come back to try a few more things. The ribeye chilaquiles look good. I'm tempted to try the loco moco, but I know I will probably be disappointed. Btw, serve some mac salad instead of two big scoops of rice. read more
