Harry Potter roll and Roseville roll

The BEST sushi I've had. There flavor profile of all the sauces and the freshness of the meat is perfect. The service from the staff is excellent. They are so kind and relatable. The atmosphere is super chill with music videos playing in the background.

They were understaffed so I came in optimistic, however the food took 40 minutes to come out to us. Service definitely takes awhile but everyone was nice. Not a fan of the fire fire roll but the lion king was good.

Situated in a typical strip mall and with only about ten tables in a narrow layout, the atmosphere is nothing to be excited about. With that said, though, this is one of our favorite take-out places in our area. We don't go for ambience. That's not to say there is anything wrong with the space... It is very clean and pleasant. However it's a very narrow space with about ten tables, so it's "cozy". Locals frequent it. More often than not, when we eat there we see someone we know in line. Yes.... This little gem (which someone might call a "hole in the wall") the bottom line is that it serves good food at reasonable prices. The food is consistently fresh and delicious and service is always friendly and efficient. You order at the counter and then are served. They carry the usual basic mainstream Japanese food options; but they also have quite the variety of sushi rolls to pick from. I so appreciate having so many delicious and healthy options. And I dare say that their rolls rival many of the fancier places in our area.... Yes, the grilled chicken choices can be a tad dry but the accompanying sauce comes to the rescue. Deep fried options there never disappoint most in my family either. But, it's the rolls that are the definite top choices, in my opinion. I love giving local businesses such as this a big thumbs up! If you're in the area and craving a sushi roll (or two... or three) and don't mind a no frills atmosphere, I recommend them.

Top: Philly roll Bottom: lion king roll

Best sushi in Folsom. Prices are also very fair for how great the quality is. It tastes so fresh every time. This place is such a hidden gem.

This spot has a great and rare balance between price and quality, and I can think of very few negatives to say about it. I'm always looking for the next sushi spot and I'm glad I found this one and will be returning to try out some of their other rolls. Good staff and a calm quiet atmosphere. The rainbow roll had plenty of flavor and a good size to satisfy your appetite, and not very expensive compared to other sushi spots. The fish and other ingredients tasted fresh, which is the most important thing for me. The bento box was also a great size for the price, definitely a good value here. I found the chicken wasn't too dry and had a nice amount of char. The salad had a good dressing, and complemented the rice and chicken nicely. The only minor complaint I have is about the teriyaki sauce, which tasted only average based on what I've had before, mainly due to it being overly sweet. All in all, good and fresh food for a reasonable price. Lots of variety in their sushi too. Nice place to have in Folsom.

Oh no! Not umami! I am from the Bay Area and have been lucky to eat at delicious sushi places. - Tang's in Roseville is a 5 star sushi place - Kobe Japan in the Bay Area is a 5 star sushi place Etc.. I will always support local business. ----------------------------------------------- Food: hasu, Roseville and spicy tuna sushi rolls. Pros- fish seemed fresh and soft -ration of rice to sushi filling was good Cons- sushi rice not warm -tempura inside sushi roll was not crisp -fish could of been fresher Service- slow and terrible. Although the employees were nice, nice only gets you so far. Dine in- we waited 40 minutes to get 3 mediocre sushi rolls. Ambiance- weird vibe. No music and this place is a more take out kind of place. Suggestions- --- call into place order and pick up for take out -- don't dine in -- they seem to place take out orders and phone orders over dine in orders --- if you dine in you have to walk up to the register and order and then pay.

The interior is focused and intimate, utilizing wood booths and panel walls creating a serene space that is almost ritualistic in a peaceful and unwinding way. The waitress was very Kind to us and the chef was prompt. On top of our orders, the chef brought out carved fruit for our kids twice! Before and after our meals. We thought this was such a great gesture and make the kiddos happy and feel special. The food was great! Love that they have a protein section using no rice to skip the carbs. Their toro was fantastic, and the chef even placed 24k gold flakes on top when he presented the dish. This was a great experience and we cannot wait to return and enjoy another wonderful experience! Since it wasn't very busy when we arrived, we were seated right away. The dining room is fairly large, with a mix of tables, booths, and counter seating. Each table has a tablet for electronic ordering, but we decided to go old-fashioned and order through our server. We started with a large hot sake and six pieces of gyoza, asking our server to hold the entrées until we finished. The sake hit the spot and paired nicely with the gyoza. The gyoza tasted good but was just a bit harder than we'd like. For the main meal, I ordered a bento box with nigiri sushi and tempura, while the others chose a salmon teriyaki bento box and a Spicy Yellowtail Roll. My nigiri tasted fresh and nicely prepared. I also tried a piece of the Spicy Yellowtail Roll and found it to have a nice flavor profile. The salmon teriyaki was clean and sweet, with a natural salmon flavor, and was tender and juicy. The portions were generous, making for a satisfying meal, and everyone enjoyed their food, although my companions thought the tempura was a bit too oily. Despite the slightly firm gyoza and oily tempura, the good sake, generous portions, and relaxed atmosphere made for a very enjoyable lunch. The highlight for me was sipping the remaining sake and enjoying the nigiri.

The menu offers a variety of delicious options, and not too pricey. However, I just learned about their AYCE sushi when I read the reviews the next day. Wish we had known before we ordered so that we can try it. We appreciate the experience, attentive service, and their high-quality food. They even put orchid flower on a couple of the plates we ordered as a decor. Some staff recommended for us trying the Chirashi Don bowl or innovative sushi rolls but we declined. Parking is free and ample. Next to Ranch 99 so you can go after you eat if you need to go groceries. Highly recommended.
