I was in the area and when I saw Fishology Poke Bar I immediately knew what I wanted for lunch. Poke is one of my favorite foods and always a treat when I can find a good spot. The Yelp ratings were good too, so I was excited. The shop is small, but has seating for dine in and is quick service where you order and choose your toppings and add ins at the counter (like most poke places). They also had a cold case with drinks, crab salad and seaweed salad available. I opted for the Regular Poke Bowl ($18) with 2 scoops of spicy tuna and 1 scoop of salmon. The scoops seemed generous compared to some places I've been. The free toppings are red onion, ginger, seaweed and wasabi- I got a bit of all of them and it was interesting that they mixed them all into the poke with my choices of sauce. Typically ginger and wasabi are more side items. I chose spicy mayo, and sweet and spicy unagi sauce and they mixed everything up and put it on top of a 1/2 salad, 1/2 brown rice base. Their additional toppings are listed as $1 each and there's a variety including those I typically see as upgrades (seaweed salad and crab salad) and some that I thought were weird as $1 upgrades (Furikake, sesame seeds, cilantro, jalapenos, etc.) It definitely encourages customers to keep it simple. I opted to add the crab salad and seaweed salad ($1/each) because I really enjoy them with my poke and they did add what seemed to be a generous amount. When I got home I enjoyed the poke bowl, it was fresh and tasted great. Definitely a great lunch treat!

I came in for lunch and built my own poke bowl. I love that they toss it in wasabi for you. I love spicy and this was the first time a poke place offered this option. I had two scoops of ahi tuna and one scoop of salmon. The fish tasted so cool and fresh. I got it over a seaweed salad and loved every bite. I'll be back for some more. Thank you!

What fresh and delicious options here! I hope this business thrives cause the owner was so kind and even gave me a discount for my work badge. I got shrimp mixed with the most delish spicy mayo and some spicy tuna. The seaweed salad was delicious and he didn't even charge me extra for it (some places have). They had a nice variety and the location seemed nice and clean. I will be back!

Food: I got salmon, ahi, and shrimp in my bowl. Everything was fresh. Ordered the regular size bowl with 3 scoops. Price, just under $19 total. No extras. A lot of topping options and sauce options. Bowl was very good... but maybe a tad overpriced. Service: Place wasn't busy at the hour I went in (approx. 1pm). So, quick service. Person who took my ordered gave recommendations on sauces. Very polite. Ambience: Clean, white walls and tables. A little basic besides the cute neon light that was good for a photo op. Napkin and utensil station was clean.

We ended up here for unplanned dinner but I was pleasantly surprised by our meal. The portion was a bit small for the price but overall I thought it was better quality than some other places I've tried. We were greeted upon entering and they were ready to serve us. Everything is listed out on the menu above but I like actually seeing the ingredients, which you can see but nothing is labeled so I was constantly looking up at the screen and down at the counter. Otherwise it's pretty straightforward and similar ordering style to other build your own poke bowl places. Everything tasted very fresh and I loved that they had some things that aren't commonly at other places like the lemon wedges, cream cheese bites, and togarashi. I was not a fan of the crab salad though, it had more of a tuna salad texture which I wasn't a fan of. Would definitely consider eating here again if I was in this shopping center! It's not an everyday kind of place though since our total came out to $40 for two poke bowls and a side of rice (which was $4 and I thought that was really unnecessary considering you can buy a small bag under $10). But it's a good option if you're wanting poke in Folsom.

The quality of fish was very good! We were very happy with flavor and the options available. The establishment was clean and nice. The staff weren't exactly "inviting" which was unfortunate. The bowls are on the smaller side compared to other poke places I have been to. But if you like good poke I'd give it a try.

Was craving poke and this place got it satisfied! It was so delicious clean place and great service and great poke!

My husband and I came in to grab a couple of poke bowls for dinner last night. The fish (we chose spicy tuna and salmon) was fresh, the sauces and toppings were tasty. Portions were generous! We chose to take our orders home to eat, but could've had a nice little dinner date right there, as the place had plenty of available seating, and was clean and cutely set up. The cheerful young man who served us, Jason, patiently and accurately completed our orders . Two thumbs up for yummy food and great service!

Great spot in Folsom for poke bowls. I always do well with the regular, in fact, I have a hard time finishing it, but my husband always devours the large. Friendly staff, very clean and great selection of fish. Sometimes not all the fish looks amazing so I just get what looks good. I've never been disappointed. The sauces and toppings are varied and they don't hold back. We like to eat there but it seems most people do take out. I also like that they have some outdoor tables. Great for lunch or dinner.

Tuna Poke Nachos (Spicy) Folsom version is just some pieces of tuna and A LOT of mayo, and some jalapeños??

This place clearly not owned by anyone who has had real poke. If you're hoping to get a taste of Hawaiian poke, this is not it. Better to just go to a sushi restaurant.

Poke is always a light and healthy meal, so I wanted to check this little place out. Couple tables for seating. First off, it's $20 for the "large" size bowl, which is a decent size but still steep. The average person could finish it when hungry. The main issue I saw with this place - there was only a single staff up front making the poke bowls. No water/drink machine, just drinks for purchase. No soy sauce container provided either? If you want to ask the worker something, you'll have to wait a while while he finishes the bowl of the customer ordering or a door dash order. They need at least 2 people up front handling things. Quality wise the poke was pretty good, with a good selection of protein and toppings (otherwise I'd have dropped 2 stars). Given this experience, probably won't come back.

Ordered 2 ramens and a beer, but the beer was never brought out; notified the waiter/manager about it and he took it off the check which was great. He also offered us and other tables a small sampler plate of the chicken katsu which was delicious. The thing that ticked me was when our ramens came out, we tried the broth and it was nice, but my bf shortly noticed we didn't have any eggs. Took quite a while for staff to notice us for us to call them over. Once we told the waiter (not the guy that brought tables the katsus) he asked us which ramens we ordered to see if they come with eggs, *All of them come with eggs except for kids ramen* and then he asked if we were sure it wasn't there and if it wasn't just buried under our ramen. We were looking at him with our ramen bowls still full to the top shuffling around our noodles to prove to him there's no eggs. Like i get mistakes happen, I wasn't upset about the beer, the no water refills, or the egg missing; it was just the way that waiter questioned us about it that made the meal sour. The food was good, but that interaction with that staff made us realize we could just go to one of the other fukumi restaurants bc the only difference to us was the service. *I even took a photo of the ramen before we realized the eggs were missing

We thought this was such a great gesture and make the kiddos happy and feel special. The food was great! Love that they have a protein section using no rice to skip the carbs. Their toro was fantastic, and the chef even placed 24k gold flakes on top when he presented the dish. This was a great experience and we cannot wait to return and enjoy another wonderful experience! Highly recommend!

Nara Sushi was a pleasant surprise on a drive through Folsom. We were looking for a late lunch and…read moredecided to give it a try. Since it wasn't very busy when we arrived, we were seated right away. The dining room is fairly large, with a mix of tables, booths, and counter seating. Each table has a tablet for electronic ordering, but we decided to go old-fashioned and order through our server. We started with a large hot sake and six pieces of gyoza, asking our server to hold the entrées until we finished. The sake hit the spot and paired nicely with the gyoza. The gyoza tasted good but was just a bit harder than we'd like. For the main meal, I ordered a bento box with nigiri sushi and tempura, while the others chose a salmon teriyaki bento box and a Spicy Yellowtail Roll. My nigiri tasted fresh and nicely prepared. I also tried a piece of the Spicy Yellowtail Roll and found it to have a nice flavor profile. The salmon teriyaki was clean and sweet, with a natural salmon flavor, and was tender and juicy. The portions were generous, making for a satisfying meal, and everyone enjoyed their food, although my companions thought the tempura was a bit too oily. Despite the slightly firm gyoza and oily tempura, the good sake, generous portions, and relaxed atmosphere made for a very enjoyable lunch. The highlight for me was sipping the remaining sake and enjoying the nigiri.
