The owner is so impressive for working tirelessly year after year here, making authentic and tasty Mexican food from his heart! My favorite is the chipotle chicken quesadilla. I went on Valentine's Day and he gave everyone a free chocolate truffle that tasted a lot like Godiva... what a great guy! I ordered takeout to eat at the office (downtown) since it takes about 30 minutes for the food to be made fresh. There was enough meat in each of the four slices of the quesadilla to be an entree itself, so it was like having four entrees of meat! And it was really peppery too! I thought it was so generous and I wish I had the appetite to finish it all but it was actually more than I could eat... I was full by my third slice!! The guacamole is made fresh and is super tasty. The vibe here is so charming and inspiring. Thank you so much!

Pretty tasty green sauce. Street tacos, on Tuesday, come with 4, plus chips and salsa or salad and dessert... lunch can have a short wait. Cute little place with outdoor seating. Friendly service. No indoor seating. Parking with a small cost in the lot in front.

Came here on taco Tuesday. They have a buy a 3 taco plate get 1 taco free so I went with that. I got carne asada and carnitas which come with a side on chips and salsa. Personally I thought the meat was on the drier side I prefer my tacos to be more flavorful. They are really friendly and generous on the salsa though. The wait can be quite long during lunch so prepare to wait 30 mins or so if you come during lunchtime.

The tortillas are homemade and chewy deliciousness. In their burritos they melt cheese onto the tortilla then fill it with goodness. Food is made with love. Delicious!

When the food is this delicious, it motivates me to write a review to share with the world. I'm so impressed with the presentation, the taste, and the price of this meal. I ordered the chipotle chicken, carne asada, and pork tacos to try and it was the bomb. And their green sauce was some spicy goodness. The tacos were neatly individually wrapped. It was too pretty so I had to take a picture. And the dessert, a lemon cake bite, was petite and super cute to eat and it was delightful. I'm thinking about going back tomorrow. Is that too soon? The only reason I found out about this place was because I was working the vaccine clinic and saw my team having some yummy tacos. Aloha Tortilla Factory & Cafe, thank you for such a great lunch. I will be back. See ya soon.

I had bookmarked this restaurant on prior occasion and just happened to be down the street with my wife when I asked if she wanted to eat something. Very easy to find as it's to the front of Aloha Tower. They offer validated parking in the nearby lot as well which is nice. The restaurant is more of a food truck without the wheels and engine, and offers tables in back. They weren't busy when we arrived but the tables quickly filled as we ate our food. The rep offered assistance as we started to order which was nice trying to figure out what to order. My wife and I each had the carne asada tacos x3 with two sides (~$10), although I made one of mine a pork taco. They were pretty good overall, colorful, although slightly small yet satisfying. Our dish came with sides and we chose chips and salsa/guacamole which they make themselves. Again, all delicious. We also tried the horchata drink (~$3.50) that was an interesting blend of cinnamon and other spices. The tables in back were COVID spaced to enable social distancing and privacy to add. My son called while we were waiting on our food so we were able to plug in and chat with him while eating. My wife and I both reflected upon leaving that it was a nice meal together. We'll likely return, maybe with the kids as well since the cost is very reasonable.

Best. Burrito. Ever! We've had the chicken, carne asada, and pork burritos and they're so delicious and very filling (with the 2 sides, chips/salsa, chips/guacamole, Salad/dessert). You don't even really need the sauces it comes with because they're so flavorful as is! The tortilla is soft and unlike anything I've had before. First time trying the Dragon fruit rice drink and it's really good! They make it fresh. Iced coffee is concentrated enough so the ice doesn't water it down. Highly recommend this place. They provide parking validation. The owners are super very nice as well! #supportlocal

Our son ordered the nachos appetizer as his main meal, my husband got the Mexico burrito, and I ordered the carnitas plate. I tried a bit of everyone's food, and honestly, we had zero complaints. Every dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. The meat was tender, not overly salty or chewy at all. The guacamole was even creamy! To put the value into perspective: a few days earlier, I bought three carne asada tacos with very little meat from a food court in Waikiki, and they were only a few dollars cheaper than my entire, massive plate here. The pricing is incredible for the generous portions you get, making it a great budget friendly option compared to everywhere else we ate while visiting Honolulu. My husband even noted that he had never had Mexican food this good in the States especially considering Honolulu is so far from the border! He rarely raves about restaurants, so the fact that he's already talking about coming back makes this place an absolute must try.

The guy working behind the bar seated us, but then never brought menus, never brought water, and never came back to take our order. When my friend tried waving him down, he ignored us. Eventually another employee came in, and the bartender just told him, "Go take his order," without acknowledging us at all. I don't know if he was only working the bar that day, but he could have at least brought water, menus, or simply said someone would be right with us. But we were looking for something different, quick, and tasty. That's what we got at K-Mex HI although to be quite frank - the parking lot here is terrible! Mostly due to their location in the middle of the street with a handful of street parking locations shared with multiple other businesses down the lane. It took us 3 rounds of driving before we ended up deciding it was better to drop me off to order and pick up the food and have my man drive around into another larger parking lot to wait the 15-ish minutes it would take for our food to be ready. The owners were so nice. Answering all of my insistent questions, smiling when I ended up ordering something different from what they recommended on the menu (my bad - it's a question I ask all businesses even though I usually decide what I want beforehand LOL). They asked if I needed a bag, if I needed utensils and napkins, and even checked in on me while they made the food! Awesome service and I'm sure it would be the same if we decided to eat in. I liked the atmosphere. It was small but homely, clean, and there were a few small fish tanks in the corner! 15-ish minutes later, food packed up - I jumped back in the car and we drove down to South Shore Market in Ward to eat at the tables and take a glance if Ocean Taste's line was... long (it was). And let me tell you... the food? Delicious. The amount of food? Good for the price! And overall pretty darn great experience. I wasn't the biggest fan of the spicy pork (not my preference). But my fiancé liked it and his only comment was that it was a bit greasy for his liking. Reminded him he was in-fact eating spicy pork which is normally served on his plate lunch in a piece of tinfoil so the oil doesn't get everywhere! The carne asada was super delish along with the gochujang hot sauce cups we found at the bottom of the bag. I'd get K-Mex HI again if I was in the area but I'd love to see them in another location where I can more easily park!
