This is the second time my boyfriend and I have come to this place, and I have to say that the staff here is very pleasant and very helpful with the menu. This visit, an employee came to our table while we were eating and introduced herself and asked if needed anything. She asked us if we had tried their popular white or black garlic sauce which we have not. She offered us a sample of one. We tried the white garlic sauce and that was a delicious game changer! We were curious to try the black sauce so I got up to ask if I can purchase a side of the black garlic sauce. She was sweet and gave me a sample of it. It didn't disappoint. I guess location matters as well though, cause their OG location in RPV was a little better. Better crust and more pepperoni as I recall (see pic of actual pizza vs what they advertise on their window). Their RPV location's pizza does look like their window pic!!!! I would visit this location again because it's much closer, but note the difference. Their online ordering could be more convenient if they allowed to customize toppings (half/half) like most other websites. I've followed Burattino's on Instagram for about a year. Amazing looking pizza & calzones. While visiting SoCal recently, my wife & I took the opportunity to give it a try. We met friends here and ordered a large Black Garlic 120 pepperoni pizza with extra cheese, a regular size Meat Lovers pizza (marinara sauce), 2 salads to split amongst 5 people, and a pepperoni with extra cheese calzone. Because I informed the girl at the counter this was our first time, a complimentary order of garlic cheese bread was brought to our table before the food. Very tasty! The black garlic pepperoni pizza did not appear to have extra cheese like I had ordered (and paid for), but it was still very good and not overpowering with garlic taste. The meat lovers pizza was tasty as well. The calzone looked d-lish, but that was my friend's daughter's. The salads were pretty big, and the 5 of us would have sufficed with just 1 between us. I'm giving 5 stars. I automatically noticed how clean it was. I love the "Burratino's Whittier" painted wall they added. I tried to order online, but it didn't let me due to their closing, which honestly is pretty fair. They close at 9pm, I attempted to order at 8:30pm. I called the restaurant and they let me place my order. The staff member just told me to be there before 9pm, because that's the time they close. I ordered the Mercedes, the Bianca, and a cheese pizza. I also ordered buffalo wings and their garlic Parmesan. The pizza temp was perfect. The flavor of both wings was fireeeee. We first visited right when this place opened, and while the food showed promise, the experience was pretty chaotic due to how busy they were. We decided to give it another try--and I'm so glad we did. This time around, everything was spot on. The service was smooth and organized, and all of our food came out in a timely manner. Whittiers new Pizza place has arrived but does it live up to their other locations? I ordered a medium pepperoni with onions, mushrooms on their black garlic sauce. Note that black sauce is an add on cost just like extra cost of $1.40 and extra toppings are $1.50 The pizza was picked up 8 mins late and by the time I got home it was very warm which means if you dine-in it'll be pretty hot. The vibe once I walked in was like any casual dinning place which most of their customers get their order to go. The staff was polite and smiled which is a huge plus. The pizza was definitely above par for pizza in the same price point and the ingredients appear to be of good quality. The pizza was very good but found the black garlic sauce to be a pinch salty but that's just my taste. The only reason there's a star reduction from a perfect score is because they seem to be a little skimpy on the toppings and for a new establishment stepping into the ring with other local pizza places you want to grab these new customers attention by serving up a good product with plenty of toppings. In this economy nobody wants to open up a pizza box to see .10 cents worth of toppings for a $20 medium pizza. I will 100% come back to try their other pizzas and hope to be able to give them then 5 stars I believe they deserve. I also understand this is a new team working out the kinks and that's has be taken into account for a few weeks. Overall they make a good pizza and what seems to be a decent price and do so with a smile. This place deserves a try but note wait times can be 30-50 mins. Easter Sunday 2026. Whittier, California. My husband all week wanted to try Burratino Pizza after he read about it on Facebook. We are not within 15 minutes of one of their many So Cal locations. However, we were planning to spend Easter Sunday in Whittier where a location exists. I convinced our party to try Burratino's Whittier. Six of us were pleasantly surprised. Two of the six were avid pizza fans including my husband. I am a bean and cheese burrito fan over pizza everytime yet I have to tell you, today is my third out of four Sundays in a row coming back to Whittier and taking a pie home. I like Burratino's pizza. I like the staff. They are super kind and seem excited about their business and customers. I like the simplicity of a pizza rack on a table and enjoying a neighborhood restaurant. What makes Burratino's good to me, not a huge pizza fan, is the clear quality of the ingredients. I generally like veggies and maybe ham or chicken but their Boar Pepperoni is surprisingly sooooooo tasty. I am a whole food eater and for a meat like pepperoni I can't believe I am here again eating it again and voluntarily for the third time in a Month. The like the crisp of the crust when I bite into it. I like the cheese and marinara sauce. I love the prints on the all of the walls of Pinnochio as a wooden toy. It feels authentic. Have been following them on social media for awhile but have never had the chance to go as they were some distance from me. I was so happy when they opened right across from Whittier PIH hospital. I came after getting some labs done and got a small pepperoni pizza. I never enjoyed a pizza like I did this one. I sat in my car and ate half of the pizza nice and piping hot. After reading so many great reviews on Yelp, we decided to give it a shot. The Whittier location is very close to our home. We are hard core Blackjack Pizza fans but it's not close and way down Whittier Blvd towards LaHabra so that's the only reason we "cheated" on them. Unfortunately our meat lovers pizza from Burattino was a let down. Sauce was sparse and bland, toppings didn't have much flavor, cheese was almost non-existent. I will say I'm glad I got the white garlic sauce because it was the only thing with flavor. I never order sauce for pizza but glad I did this time. I met an old coworker at this location because we both like a great pizza pie and wanted to give this location a try. The assistant manager and staff did a wonderful job describing their menu offerings and just being plain hospitable. I had previously been to their Burattino Brick Oven Pizza location in Carson, and my initial experience there was fantastic. The pizza had the perfect crunch, great flavor, and overall quality that really stood out. So when I heard they were opening a location in Whittier, I was genuinely excited to try it. However, this visit was a completely different experience. The quality just wasn't the same, and the pizza didn't have that same texture or flavor I was expecting. It was honestly disappointing, especially given how good my first experience was. Maybe it's because they had just recently opened and are still working things out, but based on this visit, I wouldn't go back. It just wasn't what I expected from a Burattino pizza. The average three star rating on yelp is well deserved. They really need to make some improvements on their dough to get that crunch we all want in our pizza. This place is ok- definitely not the worest pizza but far from the best. The good: customer service, super clean and crust was baked to perfection! The ok: pizza sauce was just ok (pretty sure its pre-made), cheese just ok. Ingredients were ok, definitely not quality ingredients. The bad: the house salads, pre packaged soggy watery mess. Literally $11 for lettuce, a few olives, 2 slices of soggy cucumbers and some grilled bell peppers. Considering they have all the veggies and cheese for the pizza, I don't see how those ingredients can't be added the salads they charge $11. Another bummer, they don't have "a cup of water. I ordered a soda, but I like a cup of water to clear my palate, but no water at the soda machine but they will sell u a bottled water lol. This pizza shop has slowly become my go to location when it comes to feeding the masses at work. First brought to my attention from my coworkers, they gabbed and gabbed about how wonderful the pizzas were. Convinced, I had to try it and get it for the crew so we could see for ourselves. Firstly, I have to admit I've never been to their location physically. We've always had someone go and pick it up. They end up being busy sometimes, hopefully because their reputation exceeds their distance, so pick up time waits can be over 40 minutes sometimes. That being said, even with the wait when we receive the pizzas and are ready to dig in the pizza has stayed hot and fresh. So, what do I think about their pizzas? 120 Pepperoni - This is a pizza boasting a minimum of 120 pepperonis used for their XL size pizza. The pepperonis are zesty and with so many it does give a great bite of flavor each time. The crust for all the pizzas are somewhere between a New York style and Sicilian style consistency: thin but sturdy, floppy at the tip with a wet sauce base that sometimes means you can take extra cheese or toppings off the face of the pizza than just the bite. Meatlovers - With Italian sausage, meatballs, pepperoni, ham, and pastrami this showcases their different protein toppings where each can shine but also how they harmonize with each other. As a meat lover, I really enjoyed this one and found myself coming back to this pizza more than the others. Siciliana - Roasted red peppers with Italian sausage and parsley this bursts with freshness and the sweetness from the peppers are a great juxtaposition from the savory flavors of the Italian sausage. Very easy to enjoy and a great choice for those who like vegetables and meat but don't want a pizza that's exclusively one or the other. Hawaiian BBQ Pork - a Hawaiian pizza but instead of ham they use slow roasted pork and add jalapeños and bacon bits to it. If you love Hawaiian pizza this is an elevated version of it and you'll thoroughly enjoy it. If you believe pineapple on pizza is blasphemy, just give them to your Hawaiian pizza lover friend and still enjoy this great tasting pizza. If there is a negative to their food it has to be their house ranch sauce. Not great, it tastes like Hidden Valley Ranch. If you like that, I guess that's good for you but if you're more into that pub style ranch that goes well with pizza and wings, you're better off getting that somewhere else and pairing it with Burratino's. I have yet to try their black garlic sauce but it is something that intrigues me and an option I plan to partake in the future. But with solid flavors, good consistency, and fair pricing Burratino will be a reliable pizza place to feed the masses for the foreseeable future. read more

First off, I would like to point out that I was excited to have a Burratinos pizza opening close to me. I made an attempt to place an order during their opening week and I understood they were busy so this review is not in regard to that. I gave it another week- week and a half before placing my next order, understanding that there will still be growing pains. All things considered, I placed an order for delivery through their website and to my surprise after I had paid for 1 large pizza it gave me the estimated time of arrival. The arrival time was a bit over 6 hrs from my order time(I live 8min from Burratinos in Whittier). Confused by this I called the restaurant for more information and they assured me that the wait time was correct. I asked to cancel/ speak to the manager and they basically told me tough luck because there is no way to make changes to this order. Keep in mind, I went through the proper channels by calling DoorDash since they were in charge of making the delivery they also confirmed that the restaurant was responsible for cancelling,refunding, and making changes to the order. Also, they did not allow me to change the order to pick up for an undisclosed reason. I will say, the associate I spoke with seemed overwhelmed on the phone so I don't want to judge that person harshly either, I will assume they were doing the best they can. I called the other Burritinos locations (Rancho Palos Verdes and Carson) they made me aware that this is a franchise store and may be operated differently than their flagship locations. Both locations were very kind and understanding of my frustration. With that being said, I don't believe any pizza is worth waiting over 6 hours for (without an option for cancellation) and the taste/quality was underwhelming. I expected this due to the excessive wait time. I hope that at this point the overall experience, food quality, and service has reached the level of the other locations. I am all for Burritinos and their success in this area, I hope to return and confidently be able to recommend their pizza once they iron out the details. * I placed the order at 2:30p but the only screenshot I found was when I had checked back on the order later on.
