Came for the BBQ and stayed for the banana pudding! Second time at this spot now and have been happy with both visits. First visit involved 3 meats (pulled pork, polish sausage and brisket) all three hit the spot. Sides were delicious Mac and cheese and BBQ beans. Second visit was brisket loaded cheese fries. I'm a fry texture guy and these were just right. I recommend slapping a bit of the original bbq sauce on them bad boys and bam you are good to go. Try the pudding, nice and fluffy! read more

The price is definitely right and you absolutely get your money's worth; you'll feel like every dollar was well spent. You will be spending a good amount of time tackling the generous portions of sides and meats. The beef brisket and pulled pork are both juicy and tender, feeling as if they've been sitting well enough in the cooker. Plus, their three barbecue sauces (Original, Sweet, and Spicy) further amplify the authentic Texan experience! The staff is incredibly nice and they genuinely seem happy to work here. There are nothing but friendly vibes, and I overheard them patiently and happily answering any questions the customers had. The place is simple, featuring a clean, well-lit, old-school design. There are big tables all around to enjoy your meal, fully stocked with various barbecue sauces and plenty of paper towels to clean your hands. I visited this location to eat after Sunday afternoon church as their Buena Park location is currently closed. I ordered a sliced beef brisket sandwich and made it a combo which meant a side and a fountain drink. I chose French Fries for the side. Food quality was satisfactory. Not excellent, not bad but certainly satisfactory. I was disappointed that Pepsi was not available as a drink choice. There was a single all gender washroom that was not totally immaculate and there was graffiti on the inside of the washroom. However I was glad that paper towels were available. I have a bone to pick with the general appearance of the employees at this establishment. I noticed that the employees failed to tuck their shirts in. I consider that to be highly unprofessional. For that reason I am dinging this establishment one point. If I was to assign a letter grade as is done in school this establishment would be in there solid with a C. read more

Specifically for their catering, we really like Dickey's for my extended family gatherings. They're on time, include SO much delicious food (standouts are the sausage, brisket and beans), and for the amount of people it's way enough food for a meal plus leftovers. Only reason it's not a 5 is they we do have some vegetarians/pescatarians and for the catering we are limited. They do appreciate the baked potatoes! But like even the green beans and mashed potatoes have bacon in them. It would be nice to have the option to order without! read more

This is my first visit to this dickies location. Unfortunately, the dickies close to me in Lakewood closed. The other close one in bellflower also closed! We received a gift card. We had to go to Whittier. The place has real authentic bbq joint vibes. Rustic with lots of barnwood vibes. The service was quick, friendly and professional. We got a pound of brisket to go. This our first time here. We came at almost closing ( 840pm) but the employee was really nice to accomodate and still help us with the food. We ordered a combo 2 for $29 ( only online) n got it to go since they almost close. The food came out hot and portion is generous, they gave a lot of meat and sides r delish. For a bbq chain this is really good quality. Fries r crispy n well seasoned, mac cheese was good, bbq sauce was delishhh. The toast was soft but crunchy at the same time, very buttery. I went to this Dickey's Barbecue Pit for the first time tonight and it was really good. I had the Brisket Sandwich Combo with Fries. The Brisket was Tender and Delicious. I chose the Sweet Barbecue Sauce and it is one of the best Barbecue Sauces that I've ever tasted. Perfect for people who don't want something that's too spicy hot. The guy behind the counter greeted me upon entry and was very helpful with me to pick-out what I wanted. Great Food and Customer Service at a really reasonable price!
