Most people have a fear of speaking in public. My fear is being ripped off when it comes to having any type of service completed on my vehicle. I was having transmission problems for about a week and after talking to a close friend, had already assumed the worst. I was referred to Alonso Transmission this morning and was told they were closing at 11am since it was a Saturday. I drove over planning on having to leave it over the weekend, make plans to call a Taxi to get home and have to at some point get a Rental car for "who knows how long." I arrived at 1015 and received the best customer service I've seen in some time in any service Industry here in Miami. Ralph, (not sure if he was the owner or not but cared and acted like he was) provided awesome customer service from beginning to end. They found the problem quickly and were able to repair the "leak" in time for me to take the car home. My fear of spending money on a new transmission was gone and the cost of the service provided was MUCH lower than I had anticipated. I never recommend anyone however I highly recommend Alonso Transmission for anyone whose fear is that they will be lied to, taken advantage of or over charged with work done on your vehicle. I contacted Alonso Transmission to request a quote to replace my clutch and master cylinder. From the moment I spoke to them, I was impressed by their professionalism and great attitude, as well as their knowledge of their craft. Ralph was extremely helpful, and offered excellent prices for the work. I then visited the shop the following day to drop the car off. The shop was really neat and organized, and they took my car in, filled out all the paperwork and promised to deliver the car within 2 days. They completed the work the following day, and promptly gave me a courtesy call to let me know the car was ready. I was really impressed with the results, and the car runs great. Again, Ralph was very professional and offered a complimentary follow-up inspection in 10 days to inspect the work and make sure I was satisfied. I highly recommend Alonso Transmission. As a bargain hunter, I always search for good prices across Miami. My 2006 Audi's drive shaft has recently not been working and I visited multiple shops. The shops I took it to could not identify the issue and wanted to charge me daily to keep it there to find it and then let me know when they found the problem. I declined their offer and decided to give Alonso Transmission a try, and I was not disappointed. The owner Ralph was very hospitable and identified the issue right away. My Land Rover broke down in Gatlinburg Tennessee and I had it transported to Alonso Transmissions after being highly recommended by several people including expert mechanics. When I called them they gave me an estimate and were very friendly and professional over the phone. After being very discouraged with the Land Rover Dealership in Asheville together with the ridiculous estimate they gave me it was a no brainer to transport my vehicle to Alonso. Ralph (the owner) was very personable and he was extremely kind, I had previously gone to a different auto shop for work but they were charging me a lot so I went to Ralph after seeing the reviews. They were extremely helpful and were reasonably priced i was in and out of the shop within an hour after spending 4 hours at the other shop just to be told I was going to have to pay big bucks which only ended up being a cv joint. Good Job. When I was down because I did not know were to turn five people told me to contact Alonso Transmission. I called and friendly voice asked what the issue was and i explain he told me that he would pick up the car and review my car with me and explain the all issue before they start working on the car. within two hours Rey called and he told me to swing by so he could explain. I had an excellent experience at Alonso Transmission. Ralph and his team were friendly, knowledgeable & extremely fast. My car was reversing in Drive and then wouldn't turn on. I was stranded and it was after business hours. All shops near me were closed, yet they took my call & were able to help me the same evening. Ralph made sure a tow truck arrived to me within 20 minutes and then he stayed after closing to get my car all squared away. They were friendly and supportive & extremely cost effective. I took my car to Alonso Transmission to have it repaired. It was repaired but after taking it home I encountered another problem. I took it back to them. They repaired my car again and even repaired other problems that were found as they were repairing it for the second time. My car had serious problems and it took a while to be repaired, but God is a God of patience, and they did take their time and fix all of the problems. I depend on my truck to take me 20 miles to and from work every day, so I needed it to be fixed quick, for the right price, and with quality work. I had a problem with my Mecedes E 350 transmission, and everybody was telling something different. A friend told me about Alonso, so I took it to him and sure enough everything was good the service, the attention as a client and most of all the truth about the problem I had. No long after I had another problem and I thought it was the transmission again so I when to see him and he told me that the problem was the coils on the motor. Sure thing it was the number 5 coil. I've been using Alonso Transmission for over 12 years now with multiple vehicles. Ralph has always been great and fair to deal with, competitively priced, and he and the shop mechanics are very capable and competent. Recently, on our 2007 Ford Explorer we had long standing issues with a Check Engine light and the Traction control light - that not even the Ford dealer or a different shop were able to resolve. My car was towed to Alonso Transmission from a different auto shop about to charge me $1,650 to fix my car. Once my car was dropped off at Alonso`s transmission, it was immediately taken in to be checked and it was fixed within 2 hours, total cost, $155!!. Fast service. They are very knowledgeable about transmissions. They know they business and don't get scared about them like 99.9% mechanics do. Don't stress yourself going to random mechanics to change your transmission oil. This people are expert and make it very easy. You don't need to bring anything but your car. Very recommend.
