I've been thinking of remodeling my kitchen for at least 10 years. Over the next 10 years I took that Lowe's layout to no less than a dozen cabinet companies to get their pricing. The pricing always came in around $10,000+ (except for one importer who sold cheap, rather than good cabinets in a limited number of styles and colors. None of which we liked.) Then a month ago, driving north on Gary avenue in Carol Stream I just happened to spot this place and thought I'd try again to price out the Lowe's design because we were now ready to do something. I went into the place and immediately started walking around. I didn't wait for a sales person because I wasn't sure if I'd like the place and didn't want some fast-talking salesman to start accosting me for my business. I'd looked for a few minutes before I was approached by Jim, a pleasant older gentleman. He was nice so I told him what I was looking for and we casually discussed a few options. I told him I had the Lowe's kitchen design and he said he'd be happy to price it out with the cabinets I liked (he didn't want to see their pricing). I emailed him the design minus the prices and he came back with some design drawings. We talked some more over email and I asked him to stop by my house to see my kitchen. He did and we had a great conversation and we got ideas for other ways to do the kitchen. After looking at the kitchen, Jim put together everything we liked, added in the monthly manufacturer promotions, and ended up THOUSANDS less than any other quality cabinet place. So today we visited the showroom to go over every part of the cabinet order before putting down a deposit. After all was said and done, even after we added many pullout drawers, did some upgrading and getting some trim pieces (not on the original Lowe's design), he beat my 10 year old barebones Lowe's kitchen design price by over $1,500! I can't recommend Jim and this place strongly enough. (I'll let you know if things don't go smoothly once we receive the cabinets.)

Spoke to Irene Lopez and went down the next day. She showed me my "chosen" Terrazura and also had another slab she thought would work. Both slabs looked great with my flooring, cabinet and paint colors. I went with the Terrazura and everything continued to go smoothly through installation. I'm beyond thrilled with my new kitchen and love my quartz. Highly recommend Factory Plaza! And big thanks to Irene for seeing my vision and Alex for a flawless installation. I've forgotten the name of the gentleman who measured but he made a suggestion to add a strip of the quartz behind my stove and it made the whole look so custom. So highly recommend!

I have been ignored by Jose and the management team for over a week despite my repeated attempts to resolve a botched installation. I grew up the granddaughter of a Stone Mason; I know quality work, and I know when a company is taking shortcuts. I specifically chose my stone because I was told it would NOT require a seam. Later in the process, the story changed. It became clear they simply didn't want to deal with the labor-intensive task of maneuvering a large slab into place--a job that might have required a minor wall repair but would have resulted in the superior finish I paid for. I only begrudgingly agreed to a seam because they promised it would be executed perfectly. My original fears were justified: it was a disaster. The issues: * Poor Craftsmanship: The seam is recessed and uneven. It is a functional defect that collects debris and requires constant scrubbing. * Lack of Effort: While I understand vein matching is difficult, there was clearly no attempt at a professional transition here. It stands out like a sore eye. * Dismissive Management: After a failed "repair" (just smeared epoxy), the stone manager told me "nothing more can be done." In an era of digital fabrication, that is a flat-out lie. I would never dream of treating my own clients with this level of neglect. If the check has cleared, Factory Plaza is finished with you. The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one is because the kitchen island turned out well and Gina in the front office was a sweetheart who went above and beyond to try and remedy the situation. It's a shame the owners and management don't share her work ethic. They desperately need professional development in customer service and quality control. We live in DuPage County and checked out a couple stores out here - the tile shop which had some of the worst customer service we've encountered in our life, a couple locally owned who kept pressuring us to use their people for the installation despite us already finding someone we trust, and that left me searching for a new place. America's Flooring Store came up in our search so we had nothing to lose coming here. First, it is 1000% worth the drive out here. They have so many beautiful selections to choose from. After we shared our style with Lisa, she immediately pulled a few options. I'm not over exaggerating when I say they were all perfect. Both my husband and I leaned towards the same one as our favorite! Lisa really listened which I feel is so rare these days, and made the ordering process a breeze. Our tiles came in quickly in about a week. One of the tile sadly was cracked right down the middle which happens. Nobody can control what happens in shipping, and Lisa immediately took care of this and got replacements! We will never go anywhere else for flooring and will refer all our friends and family here.
