I purchased a Groupon for an oil change at Alpha State Auto Repair and then I called and made an appointment like it suggested. I realized 10 minutes later that I had the wrong date and I was confused what day of the week it was so I immediately called back once I realized it. Both times I called, both guys were polite and the second gentleman changed my appointment without any problem. When I arrived the day of, they took my car in right away and I checked in with Jose to do some quick paperwork and then I walked off to Target with my two kids to pass the time. Purchased Groupon deal for oil change. Was charged extra $25 for a "paper oil filter" and 1 extra quart. Didn't do vehicle/brake check as stated on Groupon. Didn't check air on tires. I noticed leak from under hood and returned to shop 15 mins later to make sure it wasn't an oil leak. Mechanic is obnoxious! He laughed at my face and said, "have you ever been to a McDonald's? Ever notice when you add ice to a cup, the ice melts and water drips? Same thing with your car." My suggestion to anyone purchasing a Groupon, make sure to mention make/model when you schedule appointment by phone and ask if there's any surchargers, etc. Oh, and you'll be sitting out in the scorching sun, no shade. I've been coming here since 2018. I came in this morning for a brake service and saw this little skinny Indian guys yelling at Jose. he looks like that guy N3on the streamer... I arrived at 8:30 my appt he arrived 5 minutes after late to n 8am appt and Jose did his best to accommodate. Jose and his team have always treated me with the upmost respect and taken care of my vehicle for years already. He is very sweet and caring towards his customers. I am very punctual and mostly on time for everything. This kid has entitlement issues. If you are late, you will have to wait until there is room for you to come in. Not make a scene in front of everyone like a toddler not getting his way. All in all, Jose, Tony and Eli took great care of me. I bought a Groupon for a full synthetic oil change. I came here and they were fast and quick. The day after I got home, I realized that my car was leaking oil and I had to find time to bring it back. I guess whoever changed my oil didn't screw on the gasket tight enough. When I brought it back in, the owner said he would replace my gasket but the mechanic who helped me just screwed on the gasket and sprayed something on it. He also didn't top off my oil. All in all, I would say it's a good value and I understand that mistakes happen but I did not appreciate having to find time out of my busy schedule to drive back to get assistance for a job that was supposed to be done properly the first time. I only come here for Jose, and unfortunately he was not here when I arrived, after I scheduled an appointment with him as well, so I had to deal with the owner who goes by the name "Singh" and he's a complete a**hole and wanted to kick me out all because I did not want to give him my address, which first of all why does he need my address? this is not the first time he argues with me or attempts to threaten me with something, only reason I ever come here is for Jose and if it wasn't for him this would have been a 1 star, Jose is great! If I could leave a zero star review I would for Jose, the so called Manager. I have been to this place multiple time and have never had issues with all the other employees nor the Owner. This time I came in to have them check my brakes that I got replaced here in March 2024 and are also in warranty. The mechanics were really nice and attentive. Jose (which I have never seen before) was NOT! At first he came by to ask me the reason I came in and while I was about to tell him, he cut me off because he was on a call. Which that's understanding and didn't have a problem with that.... After he was done with the call and I told him my reason for coming in. He did mention to replace the brakes at no cost due to the warranty, which was fine by me. While I was waiting, I went to ask him a question if they were waiting on the brakes to come in even though I know it was going to take about an hour, because I was going to mention to him that I could come back at a later time because of my busy schedule today. He responded like a smart ass and male chauvinist stating "Can't you see that the tires and brakes were removed?" That was UNCALLED FOR, and I told him that he had no right to speak to me that way NOR any customer. He got upset and told the mechanic to not service my car and stated that I am not allowed to come back to this shop, DESPITE HIM NOT BEING THE OWNER AND HAVING A WARRANTY! Well, if you don't want me to come back, then let the OWNER tell me that! I would HIGHLY advice the owner to find another Manager ASAP. Drove an Hour to Get there because they came recommended and offered me an Incredible Deal on a Valve Cover Reseal and an Incredible time frame. 2 hours... Right? Even though I gave him the Specs on the Car, he ordered a gasket and this car has none. He installed the wrong silicon. Jose put an inexperienced tech in my car and this guy did not know what he was doing. I came in with one issue and left with several. 1. He used wrong Silicon which got into the Timing Mechanism $800 to fix and there is still something wrong with it 2. He pulled off my fuel pump unneccessary and charged me for the gasket. Fuel everywhere and water sprayed my motor several times. 3. Left off the Foam Guard in rear of my motor and refused to answer my calls or text .. $70 bucks from dealer... maybe the guy destroyed it... Customer Service Note. Jose immediately began telling me how horrible my car is...." urging me to get rid of it" He under Quoted me and instead of giving a right price he put an inexperienced tech on my Audi A5 Cabriolet... SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! BEWARE!!! Went here with a Groupon for a brake pads replacement. Mechanic (Jose) said that except brake pads I'll need all 4 brake rotors replaced (front and rear), because they are all bad and all 4 brake calipers need to be replaced, because they are also bad. Quoted me $1,400 for parts and labor. I refused to do a repair and went to official dealership for brake inspection. So, long story short, my brake calipers are good, all 4 of them, these guys were trying to scam me on extra services that I didn't need! Were trying to convince me to replace an original OEM fully working parts on some aftermarket sh...t and pay them $1,400 for that??? What a SCAM! Save yourself time and money and avoid this so-called "repair" shop at all costs. P.S. I'm attaching paperwork from my dealership stating they inspected brake calipers and they are GOOD! He also is circumventing groupon by telling me not to pay on the app. He then asks something totally unrelated to the oil change. I told him I had an accident. He asks again. I tell him again. He asks AGAIN. I say the same AGAIN. Then when he has the car up he walks over to me AGAIN asking me about the accident. I was T boned in the accident, still getting treatment and he is now badgering me. Not my favorite thing to rehash. He is not reading the room AT ALL. So I ask him is he gonna fix my car.That is all I said. I didn't yell but I was direct as I was extremely annoyed at his badgering. And he goes off fuming yelling, cussing, get the hell out. Take the effing car you piece of ****!!! I apologize and try to tell him it is a very touchy subject, and he kept on prying and prying, he is cussing so hard at me he is spitting on me. Well, the oil is already out of my car so he, I hope, puts the oil in my car, CHARGES ME EXTRA, and gives me the car. There are too many other places to go. Horrible!! Had an appt for a wheel alignment which I purchased on Groupon. Had to wait 2 hrs with an appt, so they finally did it. As I'm driving home my car is off and going to the right side, called and they said for me to bring it in next weekend.
