I am a Honda Master Technician, and have been for 27 years. I know all of the typical auto service industry tactics, and what poor quality is when it comes to having your vehicle repaired. That being said, once I decided to take my career path toward the corporate world, you would think that I would not go back to Honda Carland or its Service Center, and you'd be wrong. Again, I know what quality is when it comes to having your Honda and Acura repaired, because of my experience. Yes, I do my own oil changes, but I still need to visit the dealer for my company car, where I could choose ANY Honda dealer in the Atlanta area. Knowing what I know, I willingly choose to have my car(s) serviced by the Service Center because I trust the technicians working there having worked with them in the past. No, I don't get preferential treatment. No, I don't get discounts. No, I wasn't asked to post this. I am not a shill for Honda Carland, and never will be. I get the feeling that the bad reviews here are people who take their cars to Pep Boys and expect dealership quality. I for one keep coming back, even when I have the experience and resources to do things myself.

Well got virus on 9, so called the following Monday - yup vm, and asked for either the 23rd or 24th around the same tie. Got a vm with "Ok Friday." Well is that the 24th or the 17th??? Called back and left vm questioning. Nothing, but on the 16th got a vm message from Heather confirming my appointment for the next day - Fri 17th. Called and left message for her and nothing. Can't help but think if you try to make an appointment and you get this kind of "service," how will they do with my car - ouch. Moving along as there are other Ford service places. Instead of taking ownership, we were left with an undrivable car, significant financial loss, and no accountability. What should have been a routine collision repair became a nightmare. If you want a totaled engine, this is the place for you. :) Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This shop was not thorough, cut corners, and failed to deliver the level of care you should expect from a luxury collision center.

And not only that, one of the times out of the three visits I came to get my car it was filthy like they had left all the windows down or took it for a ride with a layer of pollen all thru out the car. What makes this even worse is the completely shady communication. Work was done on my vehicle without my authorization, and I was never given clear pricing upfront. I wasn't properly informed about what they were doing or how much it was going to cost until after the fact. That is completely unacceptable and honestly feels dishonest. Every time I tried to get answers, I got vague explanations and no real accountability. It felt like they were just guessing and charging me along the way. At no point did I feel like a valued customer--just someone they could keep bringing back without actually fixing the problem. I've wasted time, money, and energy, and I'm left with the same issue I started with. This place is disorganized, unprofessional, and lacks transparency. I would strongly caution anyone against coming here unless you're okay with repeat visits, surprise charges, and zero clear communication. And not only that I have spoken with the Audi dealership and another mechanic backing that what they have done is wrong and reinstating some of the things that G2 is "claiming is wrong with the car" just to come back for another visit and blow more money on the same problem for the 4th time they can't seem to fix. I am one of these people that like to fix everything myself. I just did both A/C units, my washer,…read moremy microwave, and any vintage stereo equipment I can get my hands on. One of my habits when I'm tentative about a repair is to call at least 15 places to "compare notes" and learn. I get a feel for what businesses simply want to replace parts and others that know how to "fix" a part and replace a part. I ended up calling 17 BMW repair places about my wastegate on my 2013 BMW X3 and from everything I described over the phone, every place said I will need a new Turbo. I decided to also call G2 which is a little further from my house but I also remember they tightened a loose piece of my exhaust "on the fly" when I was coming back from a road trip. A mechanic named John answered the phone and I learned he owned several BMWs. He said "bring it by Brad, I'll take care of you. But I don't want to work on that car while the engine is hot so if you want to leave it overnight, that would be ideal". We left the car overnight and John made the adjustment and told us, "this adjustment should last a while. It doesn't mean you won't need a turbo down the road at some point". We picked up the car the next day and suddenly we could feel the turbo kicking in. We were so pleased with the work that we decided to bring the car back a week later to have the back brakes replaced (all BMW OEM equipment including sensor) and the transmission fluid changed. We were experiencing a little bit of car jerking when braking prior to bringing the car in and after about 25 miles, this all went away as John told us it likely would. I was very pleased with Jenna at the front desk (she happens to be John's mother) and with Gary the owner. This business has some very knowledgeable technicians, and I was most impressed because I fix things all day and this staff answered all my questions much better than the other 17 and then performed the actual work to back this up. And even when my insurance wasn't working with me, Troy sat with me and explained every step of what he'd do to fix my car and how much the whole job would cost down to the penny, and then charged me exactly that. He even respected my request to just get a quote on the mechanics damage only for right now, and I can get the aesthetics fixed later. I can not recommend a more honest and caring place to get your car worked on. She gave $2500 in cash at signing and they did not apply this to cap cost reduction.
