For any instagramers, this is that quintessential cafe of your instagram career. The entirety of the cafe is wildly photogenic from the interior, exterior, food, drinks, bathrooms--EVERYTHING. The cafe pictures of your dreams are here. And as much as I hate to admit this, their avocado toast is pretty amazing. I'd pay $6 for it again. Aesthetics aside, this is pretty much one of the best work-from-home cafes I have been to in terms of layout and amenities. Free WiFi, tables with outlets nearby, lots of space inside and outside, lots of natural lighting...the whole shebang for the remote workers. read more

Hyper hip coffee shop? Check. Delish overpriced coffee? Check. Nice outdoor space? Check. Yep, you're in Boulder! This place feels like the epitome of Boulder (super white, overpriced, and outdoor spaces). It's a cute space from the outside and just as nice on the inside, if just a little sterile feeling. I agree with a few other comments about service; the baristas were nice but seemed a little more concerned with chatting up their friends or regulars. read more

LOVE this little coffee house. As a frequent coffee shop hopper, I love finding new little places that do coffee well. They have a robust food menu in addition to a full drink menu. The inside is white and modern feeling but the outside appears to be a sweet cottage in a neighborhood. Inside and outside seating, quiet enough to work or read but busy enough to make a good spot to meet friends. Friendly service, will be back! **street parking only** read more

Great coffee! And even more wonderful baristas, always a joy having such energetic folks working at my favorite cafe in Boulder! You can tell everyone enjoys working here because I am never greeted without a smile or laugh from the upbeat baristas like Kori and Reese just to name a few. I'll be coming back to this cafe as long as this establishment keeps their employees! Best coffee shop in Boulder. Very friendly staff. Relaxed environment. Today they made my Cortada with milk infused via Lucky charms cereal. It was heavenly. Not sure it was going to be a regular offering, but ask for it. I suspect they will try to continue it on the menu read more

Overpriced coffee, duh cuz it's boulder... But I think this place is the tits. Lots of seating outside and inside, bathroom is always clean (and decorated nicely), and the staff members are nice. This is my favorite neighborhood spot to work from, they have good wifi and something on the menu for whatever you're in the mood for so you can graze throughout the day. Their coffee isn't bad either, less acidic than other places I've tried in the area. My only critique is that anytime I order lavender syrup in my drink it tastes like hand soap, and I get lavender at a lot of other places. Otherwise 5 stars from me :) read more

Nearly an HOUR wait for this??? And not even a napkin served with it? No thanks! I mean, we're not talking chateau briand or a dessert filet here. Tartines for the win! We had the six-minute egg tartine and the salmon, and both were fantastic. I was awed by their ability to maintain beautiful plating within a to-go container. Unlike many to-go meals that look soggy and smooshed, this compatible container was a gift to open. They're doing a great job enforcing social distancing and keeping people safe! read more

Found this spot on a whim on the road to the Rocky Mountains. Very cool little spot. I had the egg toast and coffee. The coffee was delicious. Being of Central American descent, I quickly figured the coffee brewed that day was from that area. Sure enough they said it was their blend from Honduras. The aesthetics were fantastic. Very pretty and even the bathroom was awesome. Lots of wood and white tiles. I definitely recommend it to those traveling to the Rockies to stop by here for a quick coffee break before a hike. Hope to be back there someday soon. read more

Very, very hip. OF COURSE Boulder has a gorgeous coffee shop in restored Chautauqua cabin. Fresh feels, yummy menu, super fast wifi--what's not to love? Worked here with some coworkers and was very glad to discover Alpine. As I said, the feels are fresh to death. Bright white walls, marble countertops, rad tiling. The crowd felt very Boulder to me--cool outdoorsy types mixed with a handful of tech folks. Alpine has a nice selection of coffee drinks, simple plates, beer, and wine, making it the perfect place to work if you're anything like me and drink coffee until it's time for a glass of vino. I was there around breakfast time and needed a bite, so I ordered the beet toast. I have to say all of the toasts looked good, but I was super happy with my choice. Good, crusty bread, hot pink hummus, sliced cucumbers; and a drizzle of olive oil made this dish as pretty as it was tasty. Other details of note: no parking lot, though I had no trouble finding a place to park nearby. They have the New York Times available to read every morning for those of you who love the feel of a good old fashioned news paper. Bathrooms have no code, are super clean, and have really cool prints in them (I promptly found the artist online so I can order a few). Must visit post-hike in the Boulder area. A small coffee house but very clean and modern which adds for an enjoyable experience. There is also ample outdoor seating space to sip a nice cup of coffee while catching up with friends or on e-mails. Large drink menu and went with the simple iced coffee which was refreshing and strong tasting. If the basic brew is excellent, you know the rest of the menu should follow through. Hoping to stop by again soon to spend an afternoon with a coffee, computer, and a mountain view. read more

Alpine was as dreamy as it looks. We arrived around 10am on a Wednesday morning. They were very busy. For such a small place they have a lot of seating. We ordered iced coffees and avocado toasts with extra eggs. It was all delicious - nothing special but good. Prices comparable to what you would expect with a shmancy coffee shop. We checked in and got some delicious zucchini bread for free. I asked for some forks to go to eat the rest of our food later - it took about 5 minutes of waiting and I just gave up. The staff was very young and seemed slightly overwhelmed with the orders. All in all - good. Nothing terribly special but the atmosphere and outdoor seating was lovely. read more

I loved driving out to Boulder and trying this place out. It's a quaint little building with its old charm on the outside but very modern and industrial on the inside. The inside is like something you'd see Joanna Gaines design (swooning). We REALLY enjoyed our coffees. We even took them with us on a little hike. Yay for SaturBaes!!! read more

This place is the epitome of hipster. White walls and cool decor, big graphic photographs on the walls, $3 drip coffee, and "tartines" galore. A great spot for breakfast and/or getting some work done. They have ample seating and surface area for working, outlets by the tables, and food/drink to fuel your work as the day goes on. They have plenty of food options, which is refreshing compared to many small coffee shops these days. (Approximately 8 kinds of tartine, some bowls, and other dishes). I only tried the drip coffee, but I could tell they take pride in their brew. I sampled the 6-minute egg tartine, and it was quite delicious! However, I will say I was surprised that the toast pieces were a bit small. I finished both pieces in several bites each, and honestly, I could have eaten a bit more for a late-morning brunch. I would suggest something a bit larger or a pastry on the side of you're pretty hungry. Bottom line: this is a great space to get some work done, sip some coffee, grab a snack, or pretend to be more hipster than you really are. I'll be back next time I'm hankering for a coffee in Boulder! read more

I was at Alpine basically the entire time it was open today for work, so I feel as if I have a pretty good grasp on the situation here. First of all, the coffee is so delicious. I had a latte with four shots and it was creamy and flavorful and delicious. Later in the day, I had the ginger tea which was also really good. I had a hot water refill once, and I will say there was definitely no where near the same flavor on the second cup. For breakfast, I ordered the avocado toast. It was perfect! The bread was soft and crunchy, with a healthy amount of avocado. Sprinkled with I think cayenne, it had a slight kick to offset all the bread. Very yummy! The space in here is beautifully curated, so much more aesthetically pleasing than just sitting in a Starbucks. They also have cute little paper products, misc. accessories, candles, coffee accessories, etc. for sale. They weren't cheap, but they were well made and many things seemed local. The staff here was so so nice! Being here the entire day, I think I met most of them. They were super kind and often went out of their way for me. At the end of the day, I got a free pastry too as they were going to toss the ones that didn't sell. I chose a croissant- flaky, buttery, and so delicious! As for the tables there are a lot of spaces to sit. Many of the booths along the wall have outlets, which is nice when you are there for a long time. There was also seating outside which would be lovely on a warmer day. I did notice around 10-11 the place started to get pretty full and there wasn't much seating available. All in all I had a great experience and will be back all day tomorrow! read more

Since my freshman year attending CU Boulder, Alpine Modern was my favorite coffee shop around. I recently visited and it was just as amazing as I remembered it. It is a great environment to work in and is almost always super crowded. Their coffee is great, and so is their food! My favorite thing to get is avocado toast with an egg on top! They also always have a great assortment of pastries. There is outdoor seating with blankets available if inside is full, which is great since it can get really cold. The only slight downside is that it's a tad overpriced, but that is to be expected with a lot of cool places in Boulder, so not a big deal. I wish i had an Alpine Modern near me in CA. read more

Avocado Tartine + drip coffee = perfect way to start your Saturday morning at the alpine modern cafe! This perfect little cafe is within walking distance from the trails at Chautauqua park. Great place to stop in after a hike. Or skip a hike and just go for breakfast like we did LOL. Reasonably priced and a great atmosphere. Good amount of seating but if you have a big group it could be difficult to get seats together. read more

I love coming here for avocado toast and drip coffee. Their coffee is smooth, strong, and not too bitter. The lattes are great too - not as sugary as Starbucks. I've had the poached egg and vegan donuts before and they're also great. Great spot for brunch, especially if you're not starving. read more

I've been on the lookout for a cute, new study spot with good coffee and... I think I've finally found it! As a former barista, I always try to seek out local coffee shops as they tend to have better quality coffee and I love the unique vibes. It is also more important now than ever to support local businesses! I love Alpine Modern's festive atmosphere and cute interior. I ordered a cappuccino and the avocado tartine with an egg which was delish, but I also love their iced vanilla oatmilk latte! They have a fire pit outside which makes for an ideal coffee date spot as well. Safe to say I will soon be a regular here :) read more

Smaller building than I thought but it's a really cool spot, especially if you live in Boulder. I'm visiting the area from Cali and I'm a huge coffee fan! Generally, coffee is coffee and it's all about the same. I've only found 2 that stick out above the rest (Philz Coffee and the Verve). They have a cool store in downtown Boulder where you can pick up swag and other items. I got a sick sticker pack for memories and I'm excited to add them to the bottom of my Mac! read more

Alpine Modern Cafe have two locations. This one and another one in Pearl St. I personally enjoy this location more but if I want to escape how busy this location can get, I immediately transition to Pearl St. A bit overpriced but still pretty good. I usually order their avocado toast (which is pretty average, nothing special). However, their matcha latte is so good! I like mine with almond milk, as it gives the drink a more silky sip and touch to the tongue, and I like it unsweetened. The only reason I'm giving the cafe 4 stars is because you need to actually order eggs separately on top of the avocado toast, which is a complete bummer. read more

And the family that owns it was very friendly and welcoming. You could tell they put love into their restaurant and food! It's an old school diner, one of my favorite vibes and the portions were HUGE...! My wife and I I split a vegetarian omelet and two pancakes for breakfast. Couldn't come close to finishing...! The small sandwiches were so delicious! As well as the scones with the accompaniments. The cakes did not stand out to me in any way.
