The food was sooo delicious! I got the French toast combo and it wasn't mushy or bland, it was so good that even my partner had to steal some as someone who usually doesn't like French toast. I always like the food. The problem is that whenever we order pick up, the waitresses at the front literally forget or walk away when we tell them we are there to pick up our order. It tends to be the same waitresses that do this to everyone there for pick up. They don't say anything or update us. The tall waitress is the only one that gets us our food every time. read more

Covid-19 The worker was very nice. My mother ordered their Huevas a la Mexicano with grilled ham, extra veggies and light on the oil. She also said egg whites. You also got to pick two sides. My mother chose Al's potatoes and a homemade burrito flour tortilla. We picked up the order. The workers were really great and welcoming! Appreciated. They had masks on. This great restaurant keeps going strong, even during COVID times. To-go orders only, but they are very quick, the food is still as delicious and the orders are well packaged. The staff is really nice and helpful too! I ordered the chorizo and egg breakfast with beans, rice and flour tortillas. I also ordered a side of biscuits and gravy and hashbrowns. The star of the show was definitely the chorizo, egg and potato mixture! That and the mild salsa along side! It's very flavorful and the portion size is generous (enough for 2-3 meals). The tortillas (2) were basic tortillas and a bit hard around the edges. The beans are great, rice is too. As for the biscuit and gravy, it was just ok - not as memorable as the chorizo. read more

We found this place completely on a whim. My guy and I were up way too early for a Saturday and decided to go out for breakfast. The place we wanted to go to initially wasn't open yet. It was 6 am, but surprisingly most breakfast places don't open until 7. Go figure! My guy did a google search and found Al's Cafe. After perusing some of the reviews and looking at the photos, we decided to give it a go. Don't be fooled by the location or looks of the place. The restaurant is clean and roomy inside with plenty of seats. We were greeted kindly as we walked in and told to seat ourselves. After looking at their huge menu we opted for the chorizo and eggs and chile verde and eggs for our meals. We both got rice, beans, and tortillas with our meals. I also ordered a short stack of pancakes...because breakfast! Once our food arrived I was literally shocked at how much food was on my massive plate! I was also surprised to see that my chile verde was red and not green. I didn't read any reviews on Yelp before coming in but it's how it's done here. So, if you're expecting authentic Mexican, this isn't it, even though half of their menu is Mexican food. I've eaten ALOT of Mexican food to tell you this isn't authentic. The refried beans were on the bland side, but the rice and chile verde were tasty. The chile verde had good flavor, but again it was red base. My guy enjoyed his chorizo and eggs. They cooked it nice and crisp just how he likes it. They also have a really good spicy salsa. It tasted like it was roasted. The pancakes were HUGE but very underwhelming. They were OK and a little burnt for my liking. We ate about half of it. Overall, I am still giving them a 4 star because the service here is really friendly and our coffee was always topped off. You can tell they have a lot of regulars here and treat them all very well! I will always support local businesses when I can. Their prices are also very reasonable. I wanted a good breakfast without all of the fuss and so of course I yelped breakfast places and came across Al's. We were blown away the food was great and huge portions! It was busy on a Sunday yet they still sat us and had us going within 15 min! Everyone we encountered was working so hard and still so kind and friendly! Our server was yaya, she was great and funny. On the advice of other Yelpers, we stopped in to have some lunch. It was like stepping back in time to the 70's and watching Flo's Diner. The waitresses were all sassy and some were downright rude, but they were rude in a funny kind of way. The menu is diverse and there was no problem finding something fun to eat. I picked the wet Carna Asada Burrito with chips and salsa. Quite simply, it was delicious. The meat was fresh and tender, the sauce perfectly seasoned, and the size not too big. Two salsas were brought to the table - one hot and one not. Although both were tasty, mixing the two made the perfect combination. Hubby had the Philly Cheesesteak and a salad. Wow! A friend had said this place had really good food, so today (3/20/22) we decided to give it a try. I checked the reviews and seen a lot of good ones so I figured with a shot. WRONG! I would love to comment about the food but when the wait staff is rude before you even get in the door..... not worth my time or money! We had not been here so apparently I open the wrong door, and when I asked if we could go in said door, the short mexican guy says "how many of you?" I said 6 he looks at the kids and says "your gonna have to wait a while, we're busy". Ok maybe I went to the wrong door, but at least you could say give us a min. I love to give great reviews especially for new places but when I'm mistreated before even getting in the door, not worth it! I had the country breakfast, which by the way for the amount of food they give you it's very cheap!! The biscuits and gravy are warm and buttery, along with well cooked hash-browns and eggs! All good flavor no type of blandness. What sets this place apart is the Al's potatoes that taste like Mexican papas in the morning of a early weekend! Everything I have had from here has been delicious! Today I tried a shredded beef taco and enchilada. The taco was good, but the enchilada was amazing! I loved the flavor of the enchilada sauce. It was so good I was dipping french fries in the sauce. I got a guacamole bacon burger and fries, but I could not eat the burger. I'll have it for dinner. My friend got the shredded beef nachos and they were huge! He loved them too! I've also had their breakfast burrito which was so so good and very filling. I definitely recommend this place.
