Stopped here for a late lunch (2:00 pm). It appeared they had been busy earlier and a few tables were needing bussing, but the waitress was by herself. She took my order to the chef and then began cleaning up. I started right in on the chips & salsa (which is consistently excellent). The two ground beef tacos, beans & rice were all delicious. My wife and I eat at Marian's frequently and we been solid customers for years. My wife walked in w/ a room temp water she brought from home so she could take her meds - she can't take them w/ cold water. We were immediately told by our server Lupe that we couldn't bring outside drink cups in & there were "No Exceptions " from the owner. So, I took it back to the car. Lupe told us it was OK this time but admonished that from now on we are not to bring drink cups in. So as you could imagine, dinner was off to an unwelcome start. As we finished our meal a lady walked in with a large metal cup w/ a red straw. Of course we were curious to see what Lupe was going to tell her. She said nothing about her drink cup which was definitely a double standard. I approached Lupe to ask why she did not tell the other lady anything. She was obviously caught off guard and began making false excuses. Bottom line this is no way to treat a 20+ year customer. We're no longer supporting this restaurant. Very disappointed. read more

My family and I came to Marians on 2/19/22 for a family outing. We arrived around 12pm and we were seated immediately. I'm not sure if it was the owner but it was a lovely woman who was doing everything from seating, creating, taking orders and clean up! She was like Super woman and she did it so gracefully. My family and I always drive past this place for YEARS and happy 2022 we get to try it. It definitely has a mom and pop feel to it. They have cute decor and played Spanish music which is one of my favorites so I couldn't help but dance away! The dining area was clean and cozy. When my parents arrived we finally ordered and I ended up getting the wine strawberry Margarita . I rated it 7/10 as it was absolutely delicious and the presentation was beautiful. The family had soda and dad had Raspberry Ice Tea as he is not a soda drinker like me! The nieces were excited and we were all hungry so we all put in our orders and tore up the Fresh Chips and Salsa. The salsa had a little bit too much black pepper for my liking but it was good. It was a learning experience for my nieces so we were teaching them not to double dip which pretty much "in one ear and out the other" but eventually they got the hang of it. Our food came out momentarily. I got the chicken enchiladas plate which I rated it an 8/10. The enchiladas were so delicious and tasty, the beans needed more salt which I did add some salt and the beans were bomb and the Spanish rice was very flavorful. I seriously enjoyed my meal. It tasted fresh and it made my tummy happy too! My who family enjoyed their meal and shared with me they would come again! I don't know why it took so many years to come here but it did hit the spot with my mom, dad, middle sister, her daughter, older sister and her daughter and I. We said we all would come back in a heart beat. It was semi empty when we came in and gee it filled up quick! It was a packed house. Definitely a must try. Good and tasty Mexican food! read more

Food was tasty and definitely seemed like someone in my family cooked it. It would be nice if they sold a lot more than shredded beef in their food (taquitos, tamales). They did have pork and chicken in their burritos and tacos though. Their free chips and salsa were pretty good. And make sure to ask for their spicy salsa!! I asked a lot of questions and the lady taking my order was getting irritated so that honestly did not help with my first experience there. The quality of the food made up for that experience! COVID-19 phase: Masks worn by workers and required. I called in and ordered the taco salad from their lighter side and asked to add boiled beans and a flour tortilla. That wasn't a problem. The worker was nice. I was told it would be 15 minutes. I waited until I was on my lunch break to go get it. It had already been over 30 minutes and my order wasn't ready yet. I waited a little bit more, paid and left. Luckily, the order was fresh and really good! It had a few tortilla chips in it and they were tasty! It also came with salsa that was fresh and good! We use to live nearby but now live out of town in east Clovis. It's really worth the drive cause the food is excellent and Lupe service is amazing. The owner does the cooking and takes pride in his dishes and he's always consistent. We had the ground beef tacos and ground beef enchiladas along with a Chili Relleno . The taco meat is delicious and clean tasting and built just right. Just add a little of their homemade Salsa and it's complete. I'm ordering two next time and dropping the Rellano since it didn't thrill me since it seemed to come up short but not bad and maybe it's just me. We're looking forward to our next visit and walking in and smelling the delicious aroma coming from the kitchen and saying hi to the Chef and Lupe as we enter. The place is very clean and restrooms too. Great Ambiance and comfortable and definitely would recommend. And the tortilla chips and salsa are the best anywhere and shows the chefs concern about everything! read more

We absolutely love this restaurant. We found it last year just by driving by and decided to take a chance, and I'm so happy we did! We live very close by so have probably eaten there at least 10 times by now. The best things are: * the SALSA is freaking delicious. I'm not sure if they make it from scratch or what, but it's consistently amazing. *The main server (I think her name is Lupe) is very friendly and incredibly efficient. I feel like she is the waitress for the entire restaurant every time I go, she seems to do everything. And she's personable, remembers us each time we go, and chats to all of my family members. *The enchilada sauce is AMAZING. It is so flavorful that we always ask for extra. *The food always comes out quickly. Even if the restaurant is packed, we never have to wait for a long time to be served. Overall, I highly recommend this place and we'll keep eating there. We've turned 3 or 4 of our neighbors on to it, and since it's a family owned business it feels nice to know we're supporting our local community. read more

What a great find. I had a fried crunchy flour taco with asada. YUMMY!!! The enchilada was really good and flavorful but a little dry. Nothing a spoonful of sauce wouldn't fix. I've passed by this place so many times but never stopped. I finally decided to grab some dinner Friday night with the fam. The restaurant was busy. Almost all the tables were full. I was excited cause I figured if they're this busy it must be good right? The restaurant itself is relatively small. Maybe about 10-15 tables max. I ordered a chicken taco and the hubby ordered a smothered Chile verde burrito. The kids got nacho fries and a plain quesadilla. The food came out fast, within about 15 minutes. The taco didn't look good, it looked plain. It tasted just as bad. It had no flavor and the chicken tasted like it was boiled then chopped. I put some salsa on it and choked it down anyway. The smothered burrito had potential. But the inside was dry. The Chile verde inside didn't have any sauce. It was plain pork chunks with no sauce. The nacho fries we ordered came out as regular nachos. The kids were ok with it so we didn't tell the server. The nachos looked dry and hardly had any meat on them. Everything we ordered was either bland or lacking in some way. I will say that the entire meal was decently priced. Sadly, we won't be returning again. read more
