In addition, he was extremely polite and handled the matter efficiently. He was able to come relatively quickly after I called. I stopped by to ask if they could mount and balance a replacement tire for one that had blown out. They were able to swap the tire and move it to the front on the spot in about 15 minutes. What an outstanding business! I couldn't be happier. So here's the story: Girlfriend here got busted for not having an inspection sticker on my car; stupid windshield had cracked and Safelite tore the sticker to shreds when trying to put it on the new windshield. The cop wrote me a ticket and told me that if I went to get it inspected within the next day, when I went to court the judge would most likely dismiss the case. I rolled up into the Exxon right next door to my work and came 98% of the way to passing....except the tire on my front passenger side was bubbling and going to blow out so it couldn't pass. Eff. After my ridiculous adventure with trying to get a tire through my tire warranty at NTB in Springfield, I was running out of time (and fundage) and decided I was just going to get a used tire to get me through so I could pass inspection and then spend the $$$ to get new tires at a later date. Al was supremely courteous with every encounter I had with him. He answered all phone calls immediately, and quoted me an outrageously low price for a tire - $48 for tire and mobile installation at my office. Are you freaking kidding me? And even better - it was BRAND NEW. What what what?! Yes, it doesn't match the other three original tires on my car but the cheapest price I could find to match what I have was $100, and that didn't include shipping the tire or installation. What a savings! He will even offer you discounts, too. He showed up in his truck right when he said he would. It took him about 10 - 15 minutes total. He handed me a card and said that there is a one month guarantee with all of his work. He takes VISA/MC and charged it right in front of me via his iPad; the receipt was waiting for me at my work email before I got back in. I could not be more pleased with this gentleman and want to shout his praises from the rooftops! I called Al when a tire was flat. He came out right away and replaced it with a used tire. Took the old one away. It was all easy and quick. I think he charged me $70 or $80. He also sells new tires, although when I contacted him about that, he wasn't able to get me a great deal. He's a native French speaker so you can practice speaking en francais. Two tires went flat due to a pothole. I came here to purchase two used tires. I was quoted on the phone $35/tire and later charged $45. I was not given a printable receipt. I was ignorant when it comes to tires, so I felt they were taking care of me when I was in and out in 15 minutes. I didn't bother to check that they were quality used tires. I had to take my car in for an alignment and the mechanic asked me to step with him into the shop. While my rim was still on the tire and the tire mounted on the car, he showed me that one of their tires was terrible quality and he refused to do the alignment with it. Said the alignment depended on the type of tire and the tread should be equally worn. Nonetheless, this tire from Al's was bare and close to the steel band...utterly worthless. I called Al's and they said they could make a return no problem. 30 day satisfaction guarantee. Awesome, right!? No. I brought the tire back and the owner denied ever mounting this tire to my rim. He takes pride in his business, blah blah blah. I explained to him that I saw them take it off my car and off the rim. It was the same rear drivers side tire he mounted. He refused regardless. Just don't support this business. He was clearly taking advantage of my obvious ignorance. Shame on me, but furthermore shame on this business and their lack of integrity. read more

Great service! Polite! Fast! No wait! You might think this place looks second rate on first appearances, but they've got a solid operation. I was able to get this done on my lunch break and still have time to eat. When my tire blew I had to get a replacement asap. Apparently there is a mobile service (previous two reviews mentioning) which I didn't even ask about. I just showed up, and first asked about a fix. The guy explained to me that that could be risky because the tire tread was almost gone and the puncture was on the side. Thankfully getting a used was less than $40 bucks including putting it on for me! Like most people these days I just can't afford to buy a new set of tires right now so this ended up being great. You cant even tell its used, it looks new to me! At the end I was surprised, he rung my card up with an ipad. Smart! read more

This is very shady place. Smells really bad and they wanted to charge my credit card before putting my tire on. He went inside and out with a tire without showing it to me and who knows if he got the sensor off it or not as the sensor gauge is off on the reading and he said just drive it and it will adjust:(. Then he charged me $530 instead of $53 and didn't want to give me the receipt till I pressured him they were eating and food in their mouse while screaming in my face. As a single woman, I'm always skeptical of being ripped off. I came to this tire shop last year and the owner fixed my tire quick, at a reasonable price. I decided to come back because a tire was leaking. He tells me the tire needs to be replaced. He could have told me that I needed to replace both front tires at the same time but he didn't. Went here to get one used tire on a Saturday. The guy put the wrong size tire on my car which caused me to fail inspection then told me to come back Monday morning. Went back and he still didn't have my tire. Al is very unprofessional and did not accommodate me got an attitude and told me he can't give me a date as to when he would have my tire. I needed two tires for my SUV and stopped at Al's mainly based on reviews here on Yelp. The tires were on the front and they replaced both for a great price. The only problem I have is that the two tires they put on my car were different tread patterns so I noticed a bad vibration in the steering wheel on my drive home. I called Al and he told me to bring the vehicle in as he had more tires coming in. Well, I drove all the way back down to the tire shop expecting two additional tires with similar tread patterns, however they simply rotated the two tires to the rear of my vehicle (something they should gave done in the beginning if you ask me). Had a flat tire during my travel to white post VA. Got my tire fixed there (madrid tires, front royal) and returned back to falls church . The fix probably was bad and ended up with the flat tire again. this shop fixed the issue by giving me a used tire which is so far good. Got my brake pads changed as well . We had a blow out in DE, they said they couldnt fix the flat. We drove in on the spare and he gave a great price on a replacement tire. We came in without an appointment to get the used tire and he said there was no need. He could fix our flat for even less then the replacement tire. Al was very friendly and his staff had my car fixed up and ready to go in less than 20 minutes. Two tires with two nails, he took both and replaced them with refurbished tires for a total of $80 (price varies a little depending on the size of your cars tires, but most were around 25-40 bucks each). His shop is part of the Mineke Auto Center, but his area is the last garage to the left (there is a truck with his name on it directly in front). While they work on your car, you can sit in the Mineke waiting area. Once he's all finished with your vehicle, he comes and finds you with his iPad where he can take your credit card payment and email you a receipt. Great service, and way cheaper than buying new tires! Even if these don't last as long, since they are used, I could do this three times before it becomes more expensive than buying new tires... read more

The state inspector at the sunoco station wrote up the price they would charge me ... $128 A PIECE and then he says. ...with a smile.."hey its ONLY (ONLY) the price of a few tanks of gas... WTF?? Not a big fan. I brought Al a set of 4 new tires. He put them on and then I took it for a drive. The front end started shaking very hard. I knew immediately that Al did not balance the tires, or balanced them incorrectly. I brought it back to Al and he said he would rebalance them. Same thing happened again. At this point I took the car to NTB. NTB confirmed that the tires were never balanced. The old weights were obviously never removed. Al risked my life and the lives of my family members. Please do not even consider this guy. My recommendation is just pay a little extra and go to a professional tire replacement center. You'll actually save time and money. read more

This is a great place to go if you want to replace a flat or worn out tire. I went to my dealership to get a maintenance check up on my car and they told me my back tire had nails in it and could not be patched, the whole tire would have to be replaced. To replace the tire was costing me close to $300. I was not paying that much for a tire so I told them I would be taking my car somewhere else for the tire change. Pulled up to Al's hadn't even got out my car and the guy came up to my window saying you need a tire right, I told him what I needed he told me where to park. 5-10mins later he took my car, changed my tire and I was out of there probably within 30mins. If you pay cash they took a few dollars off. All I paid was $65 in cash for my tire, with a debit/credit card it would be around $70. Highly recommend this place! My sister and I normally go here when we get flats. My sister and I have never had a problem with any of the tires put on our cars thus far. read more

Horrible Experience! I bought 2 front tires, the tire installer was rude and gave me dirty looks when I walked in. I paid $110 for 2 used front tires. Drove off and later noticed they put 155R15 tires in the front, and my back tires are 165. Once I left my traction alert kept blinking. Next morning one of the tires were completely flat. I went back and they gave me a completely used tired with no tread. Now I can't drive over 60 without my traction light blinking and I'm going this week to just buy 2 new 165 tires for my front tires. Hopefully the blinking will stop once i just buy new tires WHAT A HEADACHE and WASTE OF MONEY!! read more
