I found a BMW x5 listed online for sale. Husband and I decided to check it out, so we drive down to the dealership. First we get run around in circles on the vehicles actual location between 2 different shops they have. Second, the car was in pieces between the body and the motor, so we could not drive it. Third, they tell us we should have called ahead of time, and that they had not had the car go through the "process" to be sale ready. I then let them know that the car was listed online for the last 5 months. And that these reasons are exactly why we don't call ahead of time. We left ended handed, which is perfectly fine by us. Place had potential. We stopped by to look at a few cars here. We were temped here by what seemed like a good price on what appeared to be nice cars. First off... no parking. And there seemed to be no other customers in the store or looking at cars. The only spot available was a handicap space. Salespeople were not pushy, so much so that they looked directly at us and never even acknowledged us. The interior of the car we looked at was totally disgusting. It looked like someone had hosed it out and never dried it. The smell of it was horrendous and literally caused me to gag. I have no idea what was spilled in there but it smelled like death, mildew, and moldy milk. The interior felt damp. Totally disgusting. Dealership needs to figure out how to detail a car and have it presentable. This is not a car that should be on a sales lot. Needless to say, we didn't ask for a test drive. Very disappointed in my experience here. In 2018 I purchased my 2013 BMW X5 from Alsbou, it had issues right off the bat. Coolant hose leaking, Radiator hose needing replacement, A/C Unit not working correctly, brake dust not removed. Recently bought a nice Dodge truck from this dealership, based on reputation and some reviews, for a cross country move with my trailer. The salesman (Steve) assured me that everything check out mechanically, so I bought it. After my credit was ruined from one of the managers (Masod) for running it multiple times even after I got a pre-approval, I had the truck looked at and found a visibly broken AC compressor (I have pictures for attorney). I paid over $1000 for a new AC system which still doesn't work, and the stereo/backup camera system and DVD system also doesn't work. These people know how to get you in the door and can really care less about the customer and more about the $$. It's too bad this place doesn't have integrity. I am currently talking to an attorney who says I have a case. Please don't go to this dealership, they should not even be allowed to operate. They made a promise to me and did not deliver. read more

I bought a 2010 Volkswagen Eos from them and only a few days after driving it the check engine light went on and I noticed a huge leak coming from the window which made the car smell like shit because the rain kept making everything wet and musty. I tried to bring it back to them they would just turn the light off say nothing was wrong and that they weren't able to help me and then the light would end up coming back. I eventually had to put thousands of dollars into the car to be able to fix the engine and even after that the car still had so many issues! Please please do not go here! I regret to write the following review of Alsbou Motors, but due to my experience while conducting business with them, I feel as though it is only fair to express contempt for this organization. I have recently moved to Oregon, and with the winter approaching I was looking for a vehicle that would hold up in the snow, I've always loved the Land Rover Discovery 2 Series and found one on the lot at Alsbou Motors. After brief discussions with Joe and some other staff members over the phone, I decided I would journey to Milwaukie to view the vehicle. Joe and I walked around the vehicle inspecting some of the odds and ends, with a vehicle 15 years of age you can expect a few dents here and there. Speaking with Mo the service manager, he reassured me how great of a condition the vehicle was in (76k miles, clean Car Fax, 3 owners and no issues). I returned home with the vehicle, taking it to my local Land Rover mechanic for a good once over, I was fully aware going into my purchase that a car such as this needs a little love to keep them reliable, but little did I know what was coming my way. Firstly, they uncovered a head gasket issue in which after further inspection realized someone attempted to cover up using Stop Leak. I called Mr. Alsbou and he was willing to assist in repairing the vehicle which was quite commendable, and assured me that his mechanics would never cover up any mechanical issues. I thought great we are in the clear, I received my car back just two short days later, the engine started smoking and over heating. At this point the mechanic did a comprehensive review of the vehicle and pin pointed that the Stop and Leak that was used to cover up the head gasket had leaked into the radiator and caused the engine block to crack at some point due to overheating. At this point he advised that the car is inoperable and will be needing a new engine. I am currently out seven thousand dollars because of the car that was sold to me and the blatant cover up of a inoperable engine, not including the three thousand dollars I had to put into repairs and the five hundred in which Mr. Alsbou put forward. This organization is nothing, but shady looking at the course of events through purchasing the vehicle, and there after. They did everything under the sun to hide faults of the vehicle, from unaligned windows, missing wiper blades, a cracked bumper and most importantly an engine that was not functional. I invested my money and trust into Alsbou and they did nothing but disappoint. I will be taking legal action if I am not compensated correctly for my losses and have reported this organization to the Better Business Bureau of Oregon. I advise listening to the many other reviews on Google, Yelp and Facebook and stay as far away from this company as possible, they are an untrustworthy brand who will no doubt pull the rug right out from underneath you. read more

Sketchy dealership - Avoid Twice they claimed to have made repairs that were agreed upon at time of purchase that I had checked out by a 3rd party mechanic that told me they didn't perform the work. 1 - Said they did a break fluid flush, but they really only reset the computer 2 - Claimed they replaced the engine oil filter and housing gasket were replaced, but the only cleaned up the leaked oil Now they are refusing to take care of another issue they agreed to fix in writing at the time of purchase. Alsbou is the worst dealership when it comes to honesty integrity and customer service. They sold me a broke vehicle that's costing me over 11,000. I tried taking the car back to let them know the car engine light came on the very next day I had purchased the car. They will do not to cheat and lie to you. I was with out a car for close to two months and they even have the audacity to send me a letter stating they would not be giving me my car license plates. I had an inspection done to the car where they said it had a pre-existing condiontion with the motor where it would NOT pass DEQ until that was serviced. The warranty company Alsbou works with even sent out their own private inspector who had also said that the issue was pre-existing and that they should have never sold this car without servicing the car properly. Till this day they will NOT answer any of my phone calls and fail to take any accountability to their poor service and lack of integrity! read more

I bought my car on the last day of Nov 2017. On my drive home I noticed the engine light come on and took it back the very next day. They told me it only needed an oil change and that the car was fine. I then noticed that the car was 3,000 miles over the amount needed to have the oil services. It wouldn't pass DEQ and the engine kept shaking. I try taking it back again and they told me to wait a week. Coming January they final told me to take it to Chevy Wentwork Chevrolet and have it serviced there. The mechanic there told me to take it back to the dealership I got it from n get a new car. It had a pre-existing issue with the problem and that the car wouldn't not pass DEQ until it got fixed. Every time I'd call the dealership they never had the time to talk to me for even a solid five minutes. The guy at the service always told me he was driving and that he was busy with other clientele. To make long story short it took over a month to finally get my car fixed. The guy at the dealership quit answering my calls and till this day still has not called me back or replied to my messages. Not only did they sell me a broken car but they also sent me a letter in January stating that they were no longer going to give me the plates to my car because I did not take the car to pass DEQ within the time limit needed. I am highly frustrated and still can never get an answer when I call to talk to theses people. I was without a car for two months were they didn't even want to give me a loaner car in the mean time while these issue was resolved. This is by far the worst experience I have ever encountered as a paying customer. Not only did they have poor customer service skills they kept switching up what they were telling me and called me a liar. When I have legal proof from both the mechanic they told me to take the car to and an inspector from the warranty company they work with. I regret having purchased my car through this dealership and beyond angry with their poor customer service skills. read more

I probably should have known that this was not exactly a top-notch dealership when they couldn't even figure out how to work their own Keurig to give us a cup of a coffee. So first of all, they let me test drive a car that wasn't even for sale. My father and I loved the car and were ready to buy it right then and there, only to be informed as soon as we returned to the dealership that it had already been sold online and no one had put a "Sold" sign on it. Well, we thought, we can't blame the salesman for that. He wouldn't know. That's when the smarmy boss made an appearance. Again, I don't necessarily blame the salesman in this case, but my dad and I were immediately put off by the owner, Bill. He tried every sales tactic and pressure in the books to get us to buy something, ANYTHING, from his lot, even though we tried to tell him that we really weren't interested in anything but the original car we had test driven. There was another dealership a mere twenty minutes away that had the exact same thing we wanted, and Alsbou didn't have anything else in that model or year. I swear, trying to leave that facility empty-handed was like trying to remove a tick. I have now received at least 15 phone calls and almost as many voicemails in the span of barely two weeks letting me know that "they have some new inventory." A follow up phone call is something I totally understand. Even two. BUT FIFTEEN? Sweet cracker sandwich. And just a side note, I really don't appreciate it when you make it sound like it's my fault that you have to call me so often. Statements like "if you could just give me a call back so I can stop bugging you," and "I really need you to take two seconds of your time so I don't have to call you anymore" are just insulting. It is not my problem that your tyrannical boss makes you call someone fifteen times before getting the hint that maybe they don't want to deal with you. I go to work. I own a business. I'm in the process of moving. If I haven't called you back after the first two calls, please take that as a sign that I'm not interested. Yes, actually, I have already bought a car. Then all of a sudden going over bumps was dreadful, little did I know things were broken inside. My car makes a rattling noise, every time I press the gas to go after being stopped. The cup holder is broken and they put it in my charts and said I would get one in by the next few weeks, but when I went in to get my new cup holder, Bill (the owner) tried saying that it was perfectly fine and I didn't need a new cup holder. He even had the nerve to ask who promised me the cup holder and when I told him, he was the one who promised me, he got flustered. The car is not worth what I'm still paying off. Do NOT do business with this dealership. Last week I looked at and was very interested in purchasing a Mazda 3 that appeared to be in very good shape. I was told by the owner that the car had been given an especially thorough vehicle inspection and was in great condition with no flaws or need for repair. I took the car to an independent AAA certified mechanic and was informed that after their inspection, they found approximately $2,000 worth of repairs that needed to be done. One of the necessary repairs was an engine code that would have prevented me from successfully getting the car cleared by DEQ. So even if I had bought the car, I wouldn't have been able to get it registered so I could actually drive the thing. Another issue the independent mechanic found was that not only had the oil not been changed in over 11,000 miles, but that the dealership hadn't even performed an oil change themselves. They decided instead to just top it off. So in summary, this dealership was perfectly okay with selling me an $8,000 defective vehicle that would have effectively cost me $10,000. Steer clear (pun intended) of this shady dealership. Unless you like throwing your money away, then I'd recommend them. read more

Highly recommended! Alsbou Motors really came through for me in the purchase of a beautifully maintained Volvo XC60. When an inspection turned up a common issue for these models - rear differential needs replacing at about 100K, Alsbou stepped up to the challenge. Not only did we come to a satisfactory financial agreement on the repair, they lent me a rental for the duration of the replacement process. All the staff are pleasant to work with and I was treated fairly throughout the transaction. They had a great price on a seemingly nice, gently used car. The Carfax was clean. They were decently welcoming. They also weren't THAT pushy, which I appreciate. And that's about where the good vibes end. The car was TRASHED inside. And the photos online were so selectively taken you never would've known. It REEKED of cigarette smoke. There were scorch marks in the seat. The entire front dash has been...I don't even know what happened to it. But it was ripped apart. If that's how the interior looked, I can't imagine how the car had been previously maintained. Outside, the car was plagued with paint problems: dings, chips in the paint, a ripped up bumper from pulling up to far when parking (apparently habitually). They offered to fix all these things up, at their own expense no less and count it as a great deal. Really? You're going to bring this car up into reasonable acceptable shape? At your dime? You're going to make it into a somewhat presentable car? At your dime? What a courteous and amazing offer! We declined. Does anyone else see why that's ludicrous? The car should at least be presentable if you're going to advertise it as just that. But to show a car that had the entire front dash ripped up was okay? Perhaps if the ad had disclosed that, yes. It would've been. Then it would've been on us. Look, I get the smell. I get the scorch marks. I get the paint. I get them trying to say it's in good shape for the year (NO. It's not, I promise.). I appreciate that you offered to fix it, but seeing the other review on here, I am grateful we didn't pursue this. What's that saying about polishing a turd? Too much turd. We walked. If I could give them a negative rating, I would, but its not systematically possible.... they advertised a 2011 Range Rover Sport for a very specific price of $19,999. I offered them that price, just to find out the vehicle had not yet gone through their "inspection" process, and that they would get back to me on specific pricing... no word from anyone for an entire week (after I filled out their credit app as requested), just to find out they had supposedly put another $3000 more into the vehicle, and now the price was $22,999... I've purchased over 70 vehicles in my lifetime, and have NEVER heard of a dealership advertising a vehicle BEFORE they knew what they had into it.... Bait and Switch? Will now be filing a complaint with the Oregon Better Business Bureau. Save your time. Shop elsewhere....
