My Wife and I are foodies and prefer to eat at family-owned restaurants. When we moved to Corona 20 years ago, good food was not something you could find. But over the years several family-owned joints have opened giving us good options. We were happy to see a new Mediterranean restaurant open up near us and had high hope. We finally stopped in for a quick lunch and were not expecting much based on the reviews we read. We ordered the Falafel salad and Grape leaves and were blown away. The falafels were moist and delicious, the dressing so full of flavor, then you get hit with the pickled turnup and OMG. Then the grape leaves came out. I don't know about you, but I order grape for my wife. I find them dull and dry. These were not. They were fantastic, moist and yummy. We came back for dinner and brought a bottle of wine. They have no liquor license so you can bring your own drinks. We split the half chicken and it was cooked perfect and enough for two. They brought us a lovely Arabic tea and Baklava for dessert. The food, great atmosphere and friendly staff will keep us coming back for years to come. read more

We found this place by accident. But we love Mediterranean food so we decided to try it. It is obviously a favorite of the locals. Ambience was nice. Food was delicious and there was a LOT of it. One very nice man was taking care of the front so it was a bit slow but we were waiting for freeway traffic to clear so we didn't mind. The service was impeccable. Our server was so fun, friendly, attentive, and gracious. The food was equally great. We had the chicken shwarma, and vegetable sampler plate. For desert we had kanafa (which is like fried/sweet cheese). I'm usually not a fan of cheese or desert for that matter but this was one of best dish I've tasted. One thing is consistent and it's that if you order takeout, it's guaranteed that your food will not be ready in the time they say it will be. Amazing quality food. Made from scratch, so when they are busy it may take a little while to receive your food, but it is absolutely worth it. When we were there, there was relaxing music, an attentive server, and a family vibe. Depending on your flavor preferences you might need to add salt and pepper (provided at each table), we added some to our lentil soup. We split the appetizer combo for 2 people that includes the Falafel, baba ghanoush, hummus, tabouleh, kibbeh, cheese borek, and pita that was delightfully thin (not overwhelmingly thick like other places), finished off with desert tea and baklava that was one of the best we have ever had, not too sweet, and full of pistachio flavor. On the side we also got some of the garlic and spicy sauce. The garlic sauce was not overwhelmingly, but added the perfect if flavor. The homemade spicy sauce was the same, a bit if a kick but not too much. 100% will be coming back. Can't wait to try other dishes. read more

Not bad! Got the beef kabab entree but they forgot my pita bread and a scallion that was grilled but didn't cut the ends so I can peel the non edible parts off. Beef was tender and easy to cut through. Rice was good. Hummus was good but no pita bread! Not sure if I had to order the tzakiki on the side but I'll do that next time. Overall good size for the higher price. Let's be real, we can't keep expecting restaurants to charge cheap when everything is going up. read more

It's nice having another Mediterranean place in town. The place is very clean and inviting, but seems to be suffering growing pains. The Food Good, basic Mediterranean fare. We had beef kofta and chicken shawarma. The meat tasted okay but was a little dry. Hummus was tasty. Servings size was appropriate but a little pricey for what you get. The lunch special helps a bit. Want drinks? Canned coke and bottled water. I tolerate that in a counter service place, but this isn't one of those. The "Service" Mediocre at best. We were there 10-15 min in an empty room waiting for someone to come out. I asked for my son's hummus to be either added to mine, or just placed on the side. She understood. When it came out, it was on his plate. She said "we can't do that" WTF you can't plop a spoon of hummus on a plate?!?! As I type this, I gigged another star as it still pisses me off. After she dropped off the plates she asked if we wanted the bread (that was supposed to be included). We didn't see her for another 10 minutes for her to return with the garlic sauce and ketchup (that should have been on the plate/tray). Summary For the price, for what you get, there are other a few better Mediterranean place around (Kaza Maza, D'Vine). I MAY come back in a few months to see if they hire real staff. read more

New spot. Mediterranean food! A friend of mine and I met here for lunch. I was very impressed with the inside decor and vibe. Fresh, trendy but still classical ques of the middle easy present. Our waiter was ok... not super friendly and even argued with us over simple small things like if she brought out a spoon or giving us larger plates to eat on, not appetizer sized plates. Service is a major reason why this place gets a mid rating. Servers are the reason for a great or negative experience. The food is good! We ordered the Lamb chops (tiny) + lamb Mundy (didnt have as many add ins besides meat and rice. Limited almond slices) + 2 teas + 2 waters = $95 ish The value just wasn't there for me. I'm ok with paying higher prices if service + portions + quality follow. Quality was there. But the portions and service were not. I reallllllly would love to see this place THRIVE and this is why I am writing this review. Not to talk them down but more in hopes of bringing them up I will visit them again hopefully but I would want another server next time... decor and food is classy and everything else can improve tbh read more

Don't even bother wasting your money with this place. You get barley anything for the price you pay and the food seems as if it was heated in the microwave the chicken shawarma was so dry and just majority of the chicken was huge pieces of fat and skin and you get just about a tablespoon of hummus the rice has such a over powering taste of clove and they left the cloves in the rice which is as hard as wood the garlic sauce just taste like sour yogurt definitely do t waste your time and money better places in corona read more

My wife and I were very excited to have a local Syrian restaurant open so close to our house, only to be left disappointed at their portions and pricing. We ordered 2 shawarma wraps and a side of fries to-go which was about $31. If you're going to charge this much for wraps and fries (side of fries is $7 btw) at least fix up your portions. The wraps were mostly bread and little meat/veggies. You can tell a Mediterranean place is stingy when they fold the end of a pita bread sandwich a little extra fold up so they don't add more meats/veggies. Pretty much we got 2 pita breads with 4 thin slices pieces of chicken and 2 spoons of veggies wrapped... Since it's still fairly new, I guess we will be driving the extra mile for Mediterranean food once again and not come back until they work on fixing their pricing/portion. read more

They definitely have some kinks to work on. Service was slow. There was one young girl waiting on the tables and taking to go orders. It took about an hour to get our two dishes and one appetizer. Appetizer came out at the same time as our main entree came out. There was, I am assuming the owner bringing out the dishes. I did note he was going around to certain tables and apologizing for the long wait. Never did he come over to talk to us and mind you we just ordered two chicken kabob plates and an order of potatoes. Oh yes, make sure you read the description of certain plates. The plates we ordered didn't come with rice. I heard a few clientele asking where the rice was. I was trying to figure out why the beef kabob and chicken kabob plates don't come with rice, but the other kabob plates do. For $19.99 a plate you would think rice would be automatic.
