10 stars if I could! Customer service is BEYOND stellar with great Recommendation over the phone to getting my gems. The vanilla mousse is unreal. The wings, exceptional. Here's the kicker, my first batch was more charred than I like and David recommended saucing it. I wasn't a fan of the sauce (purely my taste not liking vinegar much) but when I still wasn't satisfied, he made me a brand new less charred version and wow, so kind to give me a perfect first impression. You HAVE to treat yourself. Worth the drive.

TO THE OWNER! Shouts out to you from The Bay, I drove all the way over here just to try your food! I was not disappointed!!! Your staff was so friendly especially Anna that helped me choosing these yummy desserts! Omg I ate the Mushroom Magic Mousse 1st and didn't post! Let me tell you it was soo delicious !!! We also got Tiramisu, Lemon, banana and pistachio We even got a pizza and a Pistachio iced espresso! Please consider putting another location in the Bay Area! This was so worth the drive!

I think I'm missing something here. I know they're known for their fruit desserts, but it's not new to me so I passed up on those. I had a slice of their honey cake and a pistachio croissant and I wasn't impressed. The honey cake was okay; it's on the drier side. The croissant had pistachio filling and pistachio chocolate coating which was nice. The big disappointment was the croissant itself. It wasn't flakey and didn't taste fresh at all. Such a disappointment.

It's time to update my review from seven years ago. So many years have passed and this place is still a five star review. The best customer service in the community. My husband and I stopped by to have lunch here and it did not disappoint. We ordered croissants, coffee and their special grilled chicken kebab sandwich. It was so fresh and delicious. Good portion and price. I was especially surprised by how amazing their croissants tasted. Wow. Will go back just for the croissants alone. Customer service was welcoming and helpful. Overall a great place to stop by any time of the day. You won't be disappointed.

Found this gem on tik tok. Absolutely love this bakery. We were in the hunt for the fruit pastries & they have a large selection of different ones to choose from. Each one is 10$. The employees are all very kind and patient. Ambiance here is very chill, I believe the bakery is also spit into a pizza place? Over all each visit here has been pleasant. There is a parking lot structure in the back or there is also street parking. The pastries we got were the mango & raspberry which were absolutely delicious, refreshing. They have filling inside that isn't too heavy or sweet, just the perfect taste. The crunch of the mango was my favorite.

I visited this location again recently. This is the closest bakery to where I live so I usually go there to pick up pastries. They have really good pastries and they taste good. Unfortunately, most of the items don't have prices so it gets confusing. I had to ask the employees several times for the price of the items. For service, some employees are nice and friendly. They take the time to help customers and don't make you feel rushed. But some employees are not that friendly. This bakery can get really busy on the weekends. There are long lines for ordering. This bakery has several tables outside which makes it convenient to order coffee and pastries and enjoy them by sitting outside. For parking, this bakery has a parking lot in the back and also street parking is available too. This location prefers cash transactions and cash is welcomed. They are charging 3% credit card fee for all transactions.

Our first time here it's been on our list and finally had a chance to go. Customer service was great young lady was super friendly and helpful We picked a lot of desserts to try they look amazing and so cute My granddaughter had a blast picking out her desserts Everything was really good very flavorful and looked like a different kinda fruit A few were a bit more pricey because of the design This is definitely a place to splurge every once in awhile We paid $84 dollars for everything we got We even ordered a pizza and it was absolutely delicious! I always pass by and can't believe I've never been here before. Altadena was amazing. The food was delicious and they had such a huge selection of pastries and desserts. There were so many croissants, cakes, and baked goods to choose from. We ended up getting a Nutella croissant and a pistachio croissant, plus the steak and chicken sandwich. Everything was fresh and really flavorful. We also ordered the hazelnut coffee which paired perfectly with the pastries. Before leaving I made sure to grab two tiramisus to go and they were just as good as everything else. This place is seriously delicious, and honestly that's an understatement. I definitely see myself coming back again. I originally saw their pizza and Cajun fries advertised on Instagram, so I'll definitely be coming back to try those next.

First time here. Entrance to the place a little awkward. A good selection of pastries. The selection that looks like fruit, good expensive. Tiramisu., is good not to sweet. Oreo cheese cake good a little sweet side for me. Service is good friendly.

Their service is impeccable. The woman who helped me was patient, kind and helpful. I of course had to try the famous fruit pastries and also got a fruit tart. Hands down the tart made me wish I got a bigger one. They have too much dessert to try it all on one go so will go back for the baked goods next time. Their cakes looked amazing so really this is a one stop shop for goodies and pizza. I mean if I had more money I may never cook at home lol. But definitely come out and try it. Tik Tok viral videos convinced me to try their fruit mousse. Little did I know that they are $10 each! They are real looking fruits with a thin chocolate shell filled with light mousse and pieces of fruit filling. Spent a good $70!!! But I would come back to buy one or two. Also, it's a bit messy to eat, so make sure you have a lot of napkins. Mango 7/10 Blueberry 6/10 Mushroom 9/10 Raspberry 7/10 Pina Colada 8/10 Tip: For the best experience, I recommended to enjoy these immediately, as their soft, structure makes them delicate to transport. Eat it there unless you live 5 minutes away as the shell isn't as crispy if you wait 30 minutes to eat them, the shell is no longer as hard. Definitely put it in the freezer if you buy several.

My family and I flew in early to Burbank airport. It was too early to check into our hotel so we decided to stop in for a quick bite to eat and try one of their viral, fruit mousse pastries. The bakery is less than 10 minute drive from the Burbank airport. It was not too busy on a Saturday around 11 AM, but there was a study flow of customers coming in to pick up their cake orders or to pick up a few pastry items. The employees were nice and knowledgeable about the bakery's offerings. There are a few small tables with chairs to sit at to quickly enjoy your delicious bakery items, pizza, sandwich, coffee and/or other offerings. We ordered the popular Armenian Pizza for lunch, the viral fruit mousse pastry (mango which is most popular) and a hazelnut eclair. Everything we had was delicious and highly recommended. Their many real-looking fruit mousse pastries are $10 each, but well worth the cost as they are delicious, not too sweet and very satisfying to cut/bite into. If you are in the Burbank area and want to try something different or some more familiar food items, you should definitely come to Alta Dena Bakery.

The All Meat Pizza here is pretty spectacular. I got an 18-inch, and the leftovers were great too. The guy who made it (I saw some of the process) said it's the "best pizza in town," and he's got a point! Tasty, rich (stays warm longer than other pizza, because of all that meat...), and filling! The olive bread loaf they offer at the attached bakery is pretty good too. Pairing it with sour cream or ricotta or cream cheese is a good idea. The prices of that bread and the baguettes they bake have fluctuated a bit in my experience. So check before you order. The bakery is a really pretty place, with some really good sweet things. :-) read more

Employees not masked and customers inside the store with no mask- super spreader business if you ask me. I asked the employee to mask several times - she claimed to have forgotten her mask at home. I offered to give her one from my car - she refused. Customers arguing with me they have the right to not wear a mask. LACDPH requirements not being followed here. read more

WOW - so, this is the first time i have ordered pizza (or anything really) and it was AMAZING. I didn't get the guys name - young guy - super nice - promised me i would love the Pizza Margarita. WOW, DELICIOUS! we talked as he was making it - way cool guy. they are not cheap on how much they use of their ingredients - the dough was thin and the crust was a good crunchy. i could have eaten the whole pizza myself, but i was sharing with my boss. whelp - they will be seeing me around there more often! read more

Alta Dena Bakery in Burbank has the best thin crust pizza. Their dough recipe is truly one of kind and sets them apart from any other pizza joint that Ive ever tried. The crust has integrity and it's crispy all the way through. The undercarriage is crispy and has no flop. The toppings are fresh and expertly applied. I would go as far as to say that Dave Portnoy, the famous pizza critic from One Bite Pizza on youtube should come and give it a review, Im sure he would be impressed by the quality and taste and give it the elusive one bite approval. Its worth the visit, you wont be disappointed read more

I've been coming here for years and have always experienced friendly customer service and have enjoyed a variety of their foods/desserts. Seriously, everything is good! Their pizzas, sandwiches (try Dav's Suprami), mini desserts and cakes. I ordered a cake a few weeks ago (vanilla with strawberry cream frosting) and it was super delicious. All of my guests were talking about it. It was beautiful as well. Today I ordered another cake for this weekend and walked out with a Dav's Suprami as well. Can wait to have the cake again and dig into this sandwich once I get home. read more

I stopped by on a Saturday to pick up an anniversary cake and I was blown away by how many beautiful cakes they have here. The flavor selection was also really great. One had a chocolate and hazelnut flavor, another one with vanilla and custard. We ended taking one with chocolate cake and chocolate cream and mixed berries on top, yum. It was such a light fluffy cake and excellent flavor. We'll definitely be back for more occasions. read more

Went looking for a good sandwich place in the neighborhood, and this is it. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich which comes with Davs sauce. A delicious home made hot sauce made from reaper chili's, Dav warned me when I picked up the sandwich that the sauce is hot but it's actually the perfect amount of heat, not overwhelming. Great flavors. The bread is fresh soft and delicious as well, when I saw him pop it into the pizza oven for a sec I knew it was gonna be good. Davs a real nice guy as well and you can tell he's passionate about his food the way he talks about it. Will definitely be back to try everything else they have to offer. read more

This place is great I am so happy my bf and I decided to try it, we both loved and we are very picky. The Armenian pizza is really good and they are generous with the toppings. We also shared a chicken and beef shish kabob plate with rice, salad, hummus and babaganoush. It was great quality and fresh. The kabobs were some of the best we've had, very tender meat. There is a pastry and coffee section as well with very good deserts and coffee. The service is very good, there was a very nice boy who made some great recommendations and was very helpful with our order. We'll definitely be back again thank you!! read more

Stopped here because we were in the area for work and I'm so happy we did. This place no joke has everything, beautiful pastries and cakes as well as delicious sandwiches and pizzas. Usually places like this are okay and but this spot is 10/10. They really nailed everything they do. Dave/David was super friendly and gave us all of his recommendations and we we're definitely not disappointed! The seasoning they put on the fries is absolutely fire. Wish it was closer to home so I could enjoy the food more often, but will definitely be back whenever I am in the area! Thank you for the delicious food!! read more

Alta-dena pastry 5 stars: this place is clean, large and not cramped up small like some other bakeries. There is plenty of parking behind the building as well as on the street. The pastries are always fresh, tasty and the presentation in great. The breads, although fresh, I wasn't a big fan of and will not buy again. The sandwiches or coffees, I haven't tried yet so I can not comment on those. Yes the pasties and cakes cost a little more than what you would pay at local bakery shops but it's all well worth it. read more

The pizza, the sandwiches, the baked goods and the service is top notch here. Everything is made to order and its always fresh. I had the chicken and beef salad and it was very light with tons of flavor. Afterwards I finished it off with their signature oat milk latte and Nutella Nazook. Clearly people don't know what strawberry mousse is! Coloring frosting pink doesn't make it strawberry mousse! Also I couldn't believe they don't put pastry cream in their smaller fruit tarts like WTF? it was a total disappointment on both items. Walked in today with my lovely girlfriend. First off I can't believe it took me this long to walk into this wonderful place. I was greeted with a smile by David he was pleased to help us decide on our order. We decide to get the pastrami and Wow. The sandwiches were better than what I had expected. I recently went through a total hip replacement (lots of fun, if you're into recreational surgery, you'll love this). I have Veterans Administration healthcare. I've had dealings with several departments, one of which was the folks who pay for ambulance rides and civilian medical care when there's an emergency (that happened twice). And the other is the Orthopedic Clinic at the VA West Los Angeles Medical Center. Those folks at the billing place saved me thousands of dollars in ambulance and ER bills (have you priced ambulance rides lately?). Being in billing, I'm sure they get lots of upset patients, vile accusations and worse. A really nice gift basket was in order. Just by chance, I wandered into Alta Dena Bakery Deli and Coffee. They had wonderful gift baskets on display for $25 each. That's a lot less than equivalent baskets I priced online. So I ordered a big one -- twice the size of those on display -- for $50. Those folks at VA billing nearly fell over when I set that big thing on their counter and announced: "THIS...is for you." I included a thank-you card explaining that I appreciated their work, saving me lots of money, etc. They loved it! At the time of this writing, I'm almost 13 weeks post-op. I'm off crutches, off the cane, out of the cumbersome hip brace and back in the gym five days a week. This picture is the second gift basket, which I picked up today. The fellow in the picture is Art, the cafe owner. Tomorrow morning is my next post-op Orthopedic Clinic visit. I will lug this to the hospital and set it on the table where the security dudes are at the main entrance. Then I will say: "Would you like to check this for explosives?" Then I will get in the elevator, press the "G" button for "Ground Floor," which is actually underground...the basement...and deliver it to the Ortho Clinic. They have done magnificent work getting me repaired. And if anyone reading this can explain why the VA considers 20 feet below ground to be at ground level, please tell me. read more

As for ALL of the items at Lou's "Oh, aimé-je" it does NOT get any better. The croissants are hands down the best in America. The sandwiches (all of them): finger-licking good. The éclairs are the most delectable in town, as are the other pastries. And with ALL of that, somehow the best thing is still the customer service. I have yet to walk in there without seeing Lou personally chatting it up with customers, the man is everywhere. On sunny and rainy days he's passing out umbrellas, and on Mother's Day he's handing out wonderful gifts for all the ladies. The staff take their lead from him and are every bit as splendid. If you haven't tried it yet, it's not too late -- run, don't walk, this weekend. Your taste buds will file a formal complaint if you don't.

The portions have noticeably shrunk, yet the prices remain the same. Even worse, the quality just isn't what it used to be -- some of the mousses were either extremely hard or oddly runny inside.
