There are not many pastry store on Gleanoks blvd on Burbank city and this one of the good ones. They have variety of pasties, very colorful and tasty but sweet. We purchased variety of cheesecakes, birdmilk, caramel pastry. Cheesecakes are ok but not the best the rest was good but sweet. Busy store but staff were helpful and taking care of customers atthe time. Sittings are available on sidewalk.

2nd visit and really love this place. Today I got the vanillabean pastry so yummy. This place is way better than the other tik tok famous k town place. Prices $10 to $15. Today got parking in front. Plan to return to try even more. Mushroom still a favorite.

This bakery is addictive!! Once you go, you will definitely go back. Their mousse filled cakes are divine. I've tried the green apple and lemon. Also I've had their Dubai cake. Not as chocolaty as the bar but still good! Service is very helpful. They want to get your order to keep the lines moving. I admit, it's easy to just look with amazement at the pastry counter LOL. The inside has a few tables alongside the windows but everyone mostly sits outside or get things to go. Next time we go, will definitely try their pizza.

I went here today, and I was really surprised how large this place was. It wasn't busy at all and the service was outstanding. The mushroom one was delicious for the fruit dessert but it was $15. I can see why because the stem was really hard and it had really good texture throughout. I seriously, wanna go back and try all the flavors. They are also beautiful. I also got a steak sandwich which was about a 20 minute wait to make but really delicious. It had like an avocado cream sauce throughout and was toasted. There was plenty of street parking. As mentioned before there is a 3% charge to use your credit card.

I think I'm missing something here. I know they're known for their fruit desserts, but it's not new to me so I passed up on those. I had a slice of their honey cake and a pistachio croissant and I wasn't impressed. The honey cake was okay; it's on the drier side. The croissant had pistachio filling and pistachio chocolate coating which was nice. The big disappointment was the croissant itself. It wasn't flakey and didn't taste fresh at all. Such a disappointment.

10 stars if I could! Customer service is BEYOND stellar with great Recommendation over the phone to getting my gems. The vanilla mousse is unreal. The wings, exceptional. Here's the kicker, my first batch was more charred than I like and David recommended saucing it. I wasn't a fan of the sauce (purely my taste not liking vinegar much) but when I still wasn't satisfied, he made me a brand new less charred version and wow, so kind to give me a perfect first impression. You HAVE to treat yourself. Worth the drive.

Our first time here it's been on our list and finally had a chance to go. I visited this location again recently. This is the closest bakery to where I live so I usually go there to pick up pastries. They have really good pastries and they taste good. Unfortunately, most of the items don't have prices so it gets confusing. I had to ask the employees several times for the price of the items. For service, some employees are nice and friendly. They take the time to help customers and don't make you feel rushed. But some employees are not that friendly. This bakery can get really busy on the weekends. There are long lines for ordering. This bakery has several tables outside which makes it convenient to order coffee and pastries and enjoy them by sitting outside. For parking, this bakery has a parking lot in the back and also street parking is available too. This location prefers cash transactions and cash is welcomed. They are charging 3% credit card fee for all transactions.

My family and I flew in early to Burbank airport. It was too early to check into our hotel so we decided to stop in for a quick bite to eat and try one of their viral, fruit mousse pastries. The bakery is less than 10 minute drive from the Burbank airport. It was not too busy on a Saturday around 11 AM, but there was a study flow of customers coming in to pick up their cake orders or to pick up a few pastry items. The employees were nice and knowledgeable about the bakery's offerings. There are a few small tables with chairs to sit at to quickly enjoy your delicious bakery items, pizza, sandwich, coffee and/or other offerings. We ordered the popular Armenian Pizza for lunch, the viral fruit mousse pastry (mango which is most popular) and a hazelnut eclair. Everything we had was delicious and highly recommended. Their many real-looking fruit mousse pastries are $10 each, but well worth the cost as they are delicious, not too sweet and very satisfying to cut/bite into. If you are in the Burbank area and want to try something different or some more familiar food items, you should definitely come to Alta Dena Bakery.

Love this bakery! We heard about this bakery through social media, so we decided that we had to give them a try. I ordered several types of pastries and a breakfast sandwich. I'm not super familiar with Armenian food, so I didn't know what to expect. I mistakenly assumed it would be like most bakery's. My group and I had mixed reviews on the pastries. Some were really yummy, and some were a little dry. With coffee, I'm sure they would have been great. Overall, I still really really liked the selections that I enjoyed. For my sandwich, we were very thrown off by whatever flavoring/seasoning they put in the eggs. We were not a fan. Like I said, not used to Armenian food, so maybe this was a thing, and our taste buds aren't adjusted. But... The rest of the sandwich was great. Well made, and very tasty bread! Minus the flavoring in the eggs, it was a perfect sandwich. The stag was helpful, but not the most hospitable. They handled business though, so no worries there. Overall, a good visit. If I were nearby, I'd visit again.

The chicken sandwich is that one (10/10 easy), the beef kebab sandwich was a banger, the hot honey pizza was rocking, and the bakery delicacies were delicious. Bro is a real grill master with the sandwich game on lock. This hit different right after an 8 mile run.

I always pass by and can't believe I've never been here before. Altadena was amazing. The food was delicious and they had such a huge selection of pastries and desserts. There were so many croissants, cakes, and baked goods to choose from. We ended up getting a Nutella croissant and a pistachio croissant, plus the steak and chicken sandwich. Everything was fresh and really flavorful. We also ordered the hazelnut coffee which paired perfectly with the pastries. Before leaving I made sure to grab two tiramisus to go and they were just as good as everything else. This place is seriously delicious, and honestly that's an understatement. I definitely see myself coming back again. I originally saw their pizza and Cajun fries advertised on Instagram, so I'll definitely be coming back to try those next.

Pizza was good! I thought 8 pieces for the small was gonna be too big, the attendant was right! It, was just right! So I was expecting Armenian pizza? He asked me what I wanted on it-So I got my regular toppings of Pepperoni and Pineapple! Pizza only took 10 minutes! Literally! Went to Altadena Express for the first time and it's not going to be my last. This place offers one side of the store with a bakery offering many pastries and the other side of the store is mainly a pizza and sandwich spot. I ordered the turkey sandwich and for about $9 it was delicious large sandwich. The staff was quick to take my order and I would recommend this place for someone who wants a quick bite. read more

We are so delighted and amazed at Marita's work This is the third time I order from you guys and her work is always impeccable!! The chocolate heart box is always a hit and the kids love it, love breaking it, and seeing all the goodies/sweets around it! The cake was also amazing and delicious! Bakery is fire that ajarski egg bread is so good i highly recommend it. David the ARMENIAN stallion as they call him on Instagram is super friendly and energetic. The chicken Kabob sandwich and the Armenian Pizza are a must try! I was literally "hooked" after the first bite of the chicken kabob sandwich. It was so simple and so delicious. Just remember to ask for it without onions, if you don't prefer onions. Or without cilantro if it taste like soap to you. (Yes, that is real) This sandwich is warm and toasty. The Armenian pizza is equally delicious. Take a look at how they grill your chicken fresh for each order, when you stop in to pick up your order. If you like it spicy, don't forget to ask for a side of the spicy spread. I've ordered this pizza twice this week because it's so delicious. I've been to the bakery side of the restaurant a few times but recently decided to try the pizza and I'm so glad I did. The pizza isn't greasy like most places, the crust is the perfect amount of crispy, and the ingredients are good quality. The staff was all wearing masks both times I went, and the whole place looks very clean. We got there early to pick up the pizza and the young guy making it was very friendly and provided great customer service. I'll definitely be back! read more

New bakery opened up and was surprised as how big it was! I was looking for a cake for my sister's birthday and was surprised to see quiet a selection in the display. The icing decor was very pretty in the display cakes, but when I asked for them to write Happy Birthday on the one I bought, the writing looked horrible, I could've done a better job. I got the Chocolate mocha cake and it was a hit with everyone, people came back for seconds! It was light and the flavor was great. They also have coffee and different types of drinks. I also saw a sandwich menu on the side too. Overall, the taste of the cake was good, but I expected better with their writing because wasn't that great and didn't look professional at all compared to their nice designs in their display. read more

They are open 8am to 9PM! I was so happy to see this place was still open after my work. This place is a bit unique. half store is bakery and the other part is a grill where they serves sandwich and pizza. 4 stars - Luna Kabab sandwich - Highly recommended by a server there. Meat was super juicy and tender, I wish the bread was more French baget... It was a bit dry.... 5 stars - Got some different kinds of small cookies. They were delici!! I will have to go back to try some more since they had so many different kinds of cookies and cakes. But this seems to be owned by Armenian (I am sorry if it is wrong), there was no croissant, not much pastry nor eclair. Parking: Plenty of street parking! Hours: 8am-9pm! Awesome hours. I had to pickup my family from Burbank airport on Thanksgiving day and they were arriving at different times so we went to Alta Dena to kill some time. It is very close to the airport and I was thrilled to find out they were open on Thanksgiving. We started out in the Deli and had some sandwiches. The bread is made fresh and ingredients are delicious. Service was fabulous and you can tell that the employees love what they do. Their food is certainly made with a lot of passion. They also serve kabob and sandwiches and have many drink options. Even though we only came for lunch it was very difficult to avoid the bakery. The whole display was like eye candy and we didn't know what to try first. The even better news was that the pastries are priced fairly low for the area and you could pick several and still not break the bank. We ended up getting 8 of the single serve cakes and one large round cake. All of the deserts were delicious and not too sweet. I wish that I lived closer to this bakery so I could come more often! Can't wait until I take my family to the airport so I can stop by here again! read more

The All Meat Pizza here is pretty spectacular. I got an 18-inch, and the leftovers were great too. The guy who made it (I saw some of the process) said it's the "best pizza in town," and he's got a point! Tasty, rich (stays warm longer than other pizza, because of all that meat...), and filling! The olive bread loaf they offer at the attached bakery is pretty good too. Pairing it with sour cream or ricotta or cream cheese is a good idea. The prices of that bread and the baguettes they bake have fluctuated a bit in my experience. So check before you order. The bakery is a really pretty place, with some really good sweet things. :-) read more

Employees not masked and customers inside the store with no mask- super spreader business if you ask me. I asked the employee to mask several times - she claimed to have forgotten her mask at home. I offered to give her one from my car - she refused. Customers arguing with me they have the right to not wear a mask. LACDPH requirements not being followed here. read more

WOW - so, this is the first time i have ordered pizza (or anything really) and it was AMAZING. I didn't get the guys name - young guy - super nice - promised me i would love the Pizza Margarita. WOW, DELICIOUS! we talked as he was making it - way cool guy. they are not cheap on how much they use of their ingredients - the dough was thin and the crust was a good crunchy. i could have eaten the whole pizza myself, but i was sharing with my boss. whelp - they will be seeing me around there more often! read more

I've been coming here for years and have always experienced friendly customer service and have enjoyed a variety of their foods/desserts. Seriously, everything is good! Their pizzas, sandwiches (try Dav's Suprami), mini desserts and cakes. I ordered a cake a few weeks ago (vanilla with strawberry cream frosting) and it was super delicious. All of my guests were talking about it. It was beautiful as well. Today I ordered another cake for this weekend and walked out with a Dav's Suprami as well. Can wait to have the cake again and dig into this sandwich once I get home. read more

Alta Dena Bakery in Burbank has the best thin crust pizza. Their dough recipe is truly one of kind and sets them apart from any other pizza joint that Ive ever tried. The crust has integrity and it's crispy all the way through. The undercarriage is crispy and has no flop. The toppings are fresh and expertly applied. I would go as far as to say that Dave Portnoy, the famous pizza critic from One Bite Pizza on youtube should come and give it a review, Im sure he would be impressed by the quality and taste and give it the elusive one bite approval. Its worth the visit, you wont be disappointed read more

I stopped by on a Saturday to pick up an anniversary cake and I was blown away by how many beautiful cakes they have here. The flavor selection was also really great. One had a chocolate and hazelnut flavor, another one with vanilla and custard. We ended taking one with chocolate cake and chocolate cream and mixed berries on top, yum. It was such a light fluffy cake and excellent flavor. We'll definitely be back for more occasions. read more

Went looking for a good sandwich place in the neighborhood, and this is it. I ordered the crispy chicken sandwich which comes with Davs sauce. A delicious home made hot sauce made from reaper chili's, Dav warned me when I picked up the sandwich that the sauce is hot but it's actually the perfect amount of heat, not overwhelming. Great flavors. The bread is fresh soft and delicious as well, when I saw him pop it into the pizza oven for a sec I knew it was gonna be good. Davs a real nice guy as well and you can tell he's passionate about his food the way he talks about it. Will definitely be back to try everything else they have to offer. read more

We parked down the street, the walk wasn't too bad, we didn't know where to park but I read some of the other reviews and I guess there's a parking in the back somewhere. If you live nearby and you haven't visited, do yourself a favor and try them out.
