Friendly service and very open seating. I wish there were more seats but it's a bakery so I wouldn't expect excessive dine-ins. Very clean and modern. So this is a new place and staff will make mistakes. It's how they handle mistakes that will allow me to come back. So they made a mistake with my order. But the manager was quick about replacing our order and we all walked away happy. Honestly the food is REALLY GOOD. I tad bit pricey but I'm happy to pay the premium. Quality is amazing. They are across the street from Porto's , which in itself is a challenge. I admire their confidence to make it in this tough industry. I think they will succeed with the quality of food and service. I got the regular size prosciutto sandwich for around $18 with tip. It was delicious. This italian sandwich was easy to eat, not too large to bite or devour, nor was the bread tough/hard. It was soft, fresh and the meat was salty but mild, not overpowering. I was concerned over pistachio cross contamination, but that did not happen. Great sandwich! Decent cost. Been here on two separate occasions, amazing and welcoming staff. The cafe is very clean, smells like fresh bread, open seating, and amazing for students/workers! Came here on a Sunday to study and I was offered free WiFi when I mentioned I was a student. Very sweet of them. They have some seats by the window for solo diners and it's perfect! I ordered the scramble tomato croissant, walnut meringue, and iced americano. The croissant was fresh, the scramble was piping hot and tasted AMAZING. Definitely my new go to spot! read more

Had lunch here earlier today with my son and mom. Spacious and lots of indoor seating. They have lots of desserts to choose from , freshly baked bread, sandwiches, salads and toasts. Variety of drinks was great too. Customer service was welcoming and friendly. We ordered the mortadella sandwiches and iced latte. They slice the mortadella for every order which was really nice to see. The sandwich tasted amazing but I wish there were a few extra pieces of mortadella in there. The bread was amazing and the stracciatella cheese is delicious. It was a great sandwich. The coffee tasted good took. They offer Italian focaccia sandwiches (made to order), loaves of bread, flatbreads, pastries (croissants, tarts, cake, pavlova, muffins), jello, cookies, and coffee. The meat and sandwich fixings are kept in the display case. Meats are sliced to order. Order at the register. Pastrami & brie focaccia sandwich ($16.50): This was a large sandwich cut in two. The focaccia is baked in-house daily. The pastrami is sliced to order. The focaccia was soft and chewy. It wasn't as crispy as some of the other places. The fillings were so delicious together - creamy brie cheese, pastrami, earthy mushrooms, roasted onions, and a creamy truffle spread. Yum. I would have loved a bit of arugula or a leafy green. Everything was fresh and high quality. Zucchini flatbread ($5/slice): thin, soft crust topped with lots of grated zucchini and a bit of cheese, light and fresh tasting. Mr. Froyo really enjoyed the flatbread and requested more. I'd like to try more sandwiches, flatbread, and the loaves of bread. They recently added salads, toasts, and smaller sandwiches. As my first time visiting Monte Bakehouse, my experience didn't exactly go the way I expected. To start off, it was extremely busy when we came in. They have a very open space that I think was decorated nicely, however there was minimal seating. The food was spectacular: Everyone in my family left happy, but we did experience some issues after ordering. We ordered a small and large of the prosciutto sandwich (I recommend adding balsamic glaze), but we received two smalls and were still charged for a large on the bill. In addition, our order took a very long time to come. Despite all this, the service was wonderful. We ended up getting another small, and everything turned out fine. The prices are quite high though. Overall, this place is a great establishment that just wasn't quite prepared for how popular they'd be; the food is amazing, and the prices are above average. Ordered a tuna sandwich, vegetarian sandwich, marmellatta tart, Eskimo cake slice, and lemonade. Really loved everything. The bread was amazing and you could tell it's freshly baked on the premises. The sandwiches were really balanced and both the tuna and vegetarian were delicious. I especially appreciated that the vegetables in the sandwich were grilled rather than just a raw vegetable sandwich like some places. I've also ordered coffee here and it's very good. Very pleased for this new addition in the neighborhood. You can also buy loaves of bread or baguettes! It's amazingly convenient. Would highly recommend, ten out of ten for me. The meat was thinly sliced, bread was soft and the rest of the ingredients were fresh. Staff was nice and helpful. I was worried when asked what size for my cappuccino (I'm a coffee snob) it was more like a latte but still delicious. The space is large, good for groups/families. This new bakery just opened up and it was delightful. I believe they are still ramping up and they offer a huge multitude of bakery goods: pastries, sandwiches, breads, and flat breads. To try things out, my partner and I went in to try some of their pastries and coffee. We had the pavlova and chocolate heart. Both were delicious! Not terribly sweet and definitely hits the spot. Yesterday, I stopped in after seeing an ad on Facebook! The sandwich caught my eye. I ordered three to go: Prosciutto, Turkey and Porchetta. I also got two pastries. The sandwiches are served on ciabatta rolls. I saw the bread was fresh but not toasted so I popped them into the air fryer for five minutes and ended up with the most delicious result. They were crispy and hot like panini. I wonder if I ordered for dine-in, maybe they are served on toasted ciabatta? If not, I'd ask for that. The desserts are fresh and light, and the prices are very reasonable. They are almost across the street from Porto's so they have stiff competition, but give them a try! The staff is attentive and pleasant and the restaurant is clean and fresh. Also, the owner was handing out free almond cookie samples and it was one of the best cookies I've tasted. We purchased the Classic Sourdough and enjoyed it for breakfast the next morning. It was absolutely delicious, with the tangy flavor that a great sourdough should have. We'll definitely be back and are looking forward to trying some of the other varieties. I gave it 4 stars for two reasons: 1. I asked if the loaf could be sliced, and the answer was no. While I understand I can slice it at home, I would have preferred to have it professionally sliced. Since they use the same bread for their sandwiches, I assumed slicing would be possible. I do appreciate having a whole loaf at times so I can choose the thickness myself, but I don't see why a simple customer request couldn't be accommodated. 2. I'd also love to know exactly what ingredients are in the bread. The packaging mentions "clean ingredients," which is one of the reasons we choose sourdough, as it's generally easier for us to digest. It would be helpful if the full ingredient list and nutrition facts were available on the website for customers to review. read more
