Was going over to visit some friends when I needed to stop by a bakery just so I won't arrive empty handed. I turned to Yelp to find a quick place with good reviews and a tasty selection of goodies. I found parking to be easy and came in and was greeted by a lovely lady. She was so warm, welcoming and excited about all the pastries that I thought she was the owner, turned out she wasn't but that says a lot about how the environment is there. She looked very happy and was friendly the whole time even at closing time. Thank you guys so much- your pasties are amazing! read more

Had the chicken sandwich. Incredible!! Bread was hot, flavor of the chicken and toppings was perfect. Not overpowered with sauce like some places. Coming back to try them all. Service was friendly and welcoming. read more

ok my friend and i went to LA on vacation and we were fiending for the viral pastries from LA. we went here expecting these delicious pastries with moose and fruit filling. the woman at the counter told us three times that it was fresh fruit. when we ate the pastries the middle was frozen!! we thawed them out for two hours and there was still one that was frozen solid in the middle ! we were pretty disappointed considering they were 10$ each :/ read more

I ordered my engagement cake from here and I couldn't have been happier about how it turned out. I asked for s naked cake so that later in we can decorate with flowers ourselves. The owner of the place was kind enough to help us in picking out a flavor which was hazelnut mocha, which we mentioned it's one of their most popular flavors. They even hand delivered the cake on the day of the my event to our home. It turned out beautiful! Everyone kept telling me how delicious and light the cake is besides being gorgeous to look at. I'm for sure a fan and I'll be ordering more things from them. P.S. they also have a pizzeria right next to the bakery which I will for sure try one of these days. It's like an old school Italian oven that makes delicious pizzas :) read more

GREAT pastries! The Napoleon is one of the best I've had. Great cheesecake. Excellent fruit tarts. The Tres Leches was the only thing I was really disappointed with. There was no milk in it at all, just dry cake with whipped cream. I think they forgot to put the milk in it. Very bland. Definitely will be back to try the lunch menu. read more

Absolutely love this place! I was introduced to this place by a friend and I was recommended their chicken kabob sandwich along with some pizza. Both were very fresh and delicious--I was highly satisfied! Now every time I go I get the chicken kabob sandwich because I am always craving it . Additionally, the staff are all very friendly and nice, coming here is always a nice experience. Love this place! read more

I found this place looking for a quick bite. After eating here once, I was hooked. Pizza and sandwiches are awesome. Wood fire oven, means for pizza comes out fast and crisp. I love the bite of the crust and the toppings are always good. The sandwiches are awesome. The bread is the difference. Perfect crisps with pillowy inside. Lula, kabob, pastrami all awesome. Desserts are all good, you can't go wrong with anything you get. Tarts, cakes, cookies, all! Family owned with great services as awesome prices. Dragon Egg approved. read more

Went today with a bunch of my coworkers to grab a bite to eat, not a lot of good options in the area. But after eating at Alta Dena, it hands down amazing. Amazing selection in pastries of every kind, food is a a little pricier but you're getting the quality that's attached to it when usually some the quality isn't. I'll be coming in a lot more often and personally had a Philly cheesesteak with beef which was delicious. The bread was amazing, baked fresh and def taste it! Amazing staff and def recommend to whoever wants a nice bite read more

I found Alta Dena Express Bakery online when looking for a place to eat near me with high customer reviews. This was the first place to pop up. I immediately received attentive, warm and friendly service which is so important to me when eating out. The pizza was ready-to-order in a few minutes and the crust was delightful, crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. I paid less than $11 for a pizza big enough to feed three people. David runs the place and is exceptional with customer service and food taste and quality. He let me try their marinated chicken sandwich and it was superb as well. I am hooked and will be back. I went home with three different pastries from the bake shop too! read more

Found this place while out in California for work didn't want to drive far from the Ramada hotel while the corona virus is going on, only 5 minutes away! Got the pastrami for dinner last night randomly and it was so delicious I figured hey! I wonder how good there pizza is? Was greeted by a nice gentlemen now know by Dave who said my pizza will be right up! Walked to the fridge to grab a drink and noticed a home made hot sauce bottle and I love hot sauce so I asked. And he said it's my own! Dave's hot sauce! I was like okay! Can I try some? And he said here take a bottle! What a nice guy! So anyways I get my pizza, drinks and hot sauce tip the man and go back to the hotel, I then open the box and this beautiful perfectly place ingredients pizza stared at me in my eyes. I took a picture first then took a bite and the photo matches the taste! Delicious!! Also the hot sauce! If this thing isn't the Corona Virus Cure idk what is!? Carolina reaper mango w/ garlic n opinions and other things but wow!! It's HOTT but has great flavor! I love it Will definitely use on tacos and other things! Oh also I'm just gonna leave the video here.. but they have baked desserts from heaven.. Best chicken sandwich I ever had. Sourdough bread that they bake was excellent. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Not only do they have great Pizza and Sandwiches, they have a full line dessert bakery as well. The desserts are great and you can tell they take their time to prepare them so the appearance and taste is top notch. The prices were great for the quality you get. Friendly staff, great service and great food. What more can you ask for. I can't wait to go back. 5 stars for sure. Go there, you will be happy you did. read more

We got a few pizzas here are they were very average. The cook was not wearing a mask and there are no prices on anything in the store except for the pastries in the glass case. The pizzas were bland and had no taste what so ever. The crust was way to thick and wasted like cardboard. Do not recommend this place. read more

My first experience with Altadena bakery, fabulous pizza created by David who demonstrated such care in the preparation of our pizza that I would recommended everyone to taste. Will definitely be back. Connected bakery is also a must given the huge variety of pastries made in location. Parking lot at the back of the building. read more

We tried to find parking in the alley area, but those are designated for another restaurant, so we got lucky and a street parking spot opened up on Alameda. The restaurant has a couple tables inside and some tables in their outside patio. The tables inside are bar height. We were greeted with menus right away and was told the pastas weren't currently available. We ordered two of their pizzas, Pazza pizza and Prosciutto pizza, and two of their salads, Caesar and Antipasto. I really enjoyed the salads and the prosciutto pizza. The Pazaa pizza was good too but the cheese was very filling for me. If you love cheese, you have to try the Pazza. Ingredients are all very fresh! I would recommend ordering ahead of time because the pizzas did take awhile to make and bake, but luckily they had TV on so we watched TV while waiting. If I'm in the area again, I would definitely order takeout from here.

I've been coming here for a long time and have spent quite a bit of money trying many of their desserts. Unfortunately, today was a big disappointment. The portions have noticeably shrunk, yet the prices remain the same. Even worse, the quality just isn't what it used to be -- some of the mousses were either extremely hard or oddly runny inside. Wow the best pastries made with real ingredients all the time and consistently. Their bread is soooo fresh and made in house which is very rare, their kebab sand which is by far the best tastiest sand which in town and filet mignon! Oh gosh their pizza is fantastic!
