I worked in dealerships when I was a youngster, selling cars, then in the service department. I know the difference between an honest, well run dealership and a bad one. McAndrews are good guys.

I called McAndrews-King Buick GMC because they are 15 minutes up the road from me in Adams, MA instead of Colandrea because they are over 2 hours away to get my first service done and apparently, they don't honor that service system because "we don't make any money off of it". I ended up calling GMC directly and spoke with a customer assistance associate and both he and the team never heard of a GMC dealer not honoring the GMC certified pre-owned vehicle 2 free service visits well within the range of service visits. Nothing is expired or even close to expiring. Very odd. GMC directly ended up giving me a $100 voucher for any future service that is required after my 2 free service visits for this lunacy and are filing a report about it. I called Bedard's located in Cheshire, MA who isn't even a GMC dealer although they are a chevy dealer and they were more than happy to accept my 2 free service visits. I personally do not recommend McAndrews-King Buick GMC as they are not part of the "GMC family" in my opinion and appear to only be in it for the money. That sort of sets the tone if you're purchasing a vehicle from them.

He met with the owner and his son- John Aidala and Steven Aidala, the day before, Being the Matriarch of the family, I felt he should be buying from a larger know company. The neighborhood has deteriorated over the last 30 years and to be honest, I was reluctant to even drive there. Talk about a step back in time-the 79 yr old owner was sitting right there in a 1970's desk, personally greeting anyone that came through the door. All the paperwork was really to be reviewed and more than satisfactory. The inspection had been done at the closest dealers. The son advised me he would pick up my Brother at his home, later that day. "They" would complete everything at the DMV and my Brother could drive his new car home that day. John was reminiscing about "our" school days-we all attended Vincentian Institute. It says…read moresomething that I went looking for it months later to make sure our great experience was shared! We just purchased a used car from Quail Auto Sales and could not have had a better buying experience! We had been looking for a car for our son for a long time at numerous dealerships. Although there had been cars at other dealerships that we were interested in enough to purchase, we never found sales staff that made us feel comfortable that the information we were given was reliable. For us the car was important; but equally as important was feeling that we had gotten a fair deal and trusting that what we were buying was without hidden issues. This is why we purchased from John and Steve Aidala. Their dealership is locally owned and has been for many years. The Aidala's have been part of the Albany community and pride themselves in maintaining a superior standard of service and fair business practice. We saw the car online on a rainy Saturday 30 minutes prior to Quail Auto Sales closing for that day. My husband called to make sure that they were still open and that the car was on their lot. Their website said they were not open on Sundays and we knew that this Prius was a great find. John answered the phone and my husband asked if he could make it there 10 minutes before closing, could he still look at the car? John told him that the rain would make it difficult to really look at the car and he would be happy to meet him there the next day to show him the car, even though they aren't open on Sunday. Every single interaction after that was the same good customer service, fair dealings and just an over all good feeling purchasing a car from them. I will return again to buy from Quail Auto and have recommended them to friends and family.

I'm glad I provided them with such great amusement, but it was humiliating to me. It's possible that they didn't realize how loud they were being and didn't know I could hear them. However, good customer service means that you treat people with respect and understanding. They had no idea what reasons I had for bringing my car to them in that state. I didn't get any offers for help (e.g., "We could fix that for you if you want"), just a lot of head-shaking and the reminder that I have 60 days to get it reinspected without a fee. NO THANKS. Not only will I not be bringing my car back for reinspection, but I will never bring any of my cars here again. Their service went far beyond rude and unprofessional. They were downright mean.

Even though it wasn't technically under warranty, they were able to get Toyota to Goodwill the work, and get everything covered. Gary especially in the service department did a great job with getting the ball rolling on this. All this despite the fact that I purchased my vehicle at a competitor. Because the Service Department at this dealership was completely honest and straightforward with me, I will be continuing to go here to get all my extended warranty service done on this vehicle for the remainder of the time I own this. Furthermore, I will more than likely be purchasing my next new vehicle from here. Anyone can sell a car. But if you're looking for a completely honest and ethical service department to service your Toyota vehicle along with it, look no further than right here.

Coggins performed unlawful repairs on the truck that affected both performance and safety after selling it with an audible exhaust leak. Please see photo of illegal silicone repair made to exhaust manifold after truck was brought back only two days after picking up. This illegal repair would only have lasted a few months if it had went unnoticed. After returning truck to Coggins for repair, Coggins kept the truck for several days and 'repaired' with a giant glob of silicone over the leak. This repair would never have passed inspection and was dangerous to the safety of everyone riding inside the truck. My mechanic looked disgusted when he showed me. Also, I was told the truck would be brought to Toyota standards and instead undisclosed aftermarket parts were used. I highly recommend having a mechanic check out any vehicle purchased here. I personally will never purchase anything from Coggins again. Instead, I am reporting them to the Massachusetts State Attorney's Office, the Better Business Bureau, and will be taking them to court.
