As a member I want to give this 5 star review for an employee that might get overlooked on the avg day to day visit, but nonetheless is also an integral part of the winery experience. I am speaking of Marcos who is the parking attendant at Altisima. He is always, friendly, cordial, and willing to assist in anyway to make parking at this very busy winery as painless and accommodating as possible. We drive varied vehicles from our Harley to our very large truck, Marcos always greets us with a smile and lets us know where the best place to park is based on the vehicle we brought, and yes whether it was freshly washed. Went here on a Saturday afternoon to eat at their restaurant Gaspar's. We were a party of 6 and they seated us after a 15 minute wait. I was pleasantly surprised at how short the wait was. Their outdoor restaurant seating is beautiful. The view is amazing and the live music was perfect, not too loud, so still enjoyable & able to hear when conversing! I ordered the grilled cheese with truffle fries, I loved it! Very filling and delicious. The wine selection was great as well. I would definitely return. read more

Nice, newer winery in Temecula. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. The service was good and t was nice inside, although a little boring. I've been coming to Altisima for years. I love the views and I love the service. Angeline is amazing! However I've noticed the menu changing over the years due to changes in the chef position. When Altisima first opened the menu was amazing! I loved every dish. Now, the menu is disappointing. The steak entree used to be fairly priced and delicious. The steak entree now is over priced for a very small portion. Also, the calamari was $20+ and it was barely enough to feed 4 people. The Brussel sprouts were uninspiring. Bring back chef Jason's menu please! I gave 3 stars instead of two because Angeline was the saving grace! read more

After absorbing all the visual effects of the estate....I attempted to focus on the wine offerings and the subtle tasting notes of the various varietals that adorned their menu. Concentrating on my favorites reds and whites, my wife and I began our evaluation. We discovered that their wines were adequate for the Temecula Valley, and not on an even par with the amount effort they have expended on the property, decor, forthcoming hotel, etc. I didn't have an opportunity to sample the restaurant menu but some of the entres looked incredibly delicious, and I intend to dine during my next visit. What a lovely venue! I work in wine country and this new location is just stunning. The views are beautiful and they allow children on the weekends. They have live music on Saturdays and there's a covered patio with misters where they serve lunch, dinner, coffee's, and more to their guests. Our favorite wines were the Zinfandel and the Viogne. This is a new winery in Temecula and we got good first impression after visiting their location for the first time and sampling some wines. We were very keen on trying their restaurant too and decided to come back here on our wedding anniversary day. Unfortunately, we couldn't be more disappointed. We didn't have reservation, however, we got seated right away by the bar area. The restaurant looks very modern but please make sure to adjust your dining table legs so that they are not wobbly and cause potential risk of drink spillage. It took around 5 min to have our server to come greet us and take drinks order. I order sangria and wouldn't recommend it. It was water down wine with club soda. I replaced it with another beverage. Once we placed food order, it took over 20 min to get bowl of olives and toasted bread with chopped tomatoes and sprinkle of salt. The olives were good. Our server was mainly serving drinks at the bar and didn't have much time to be more attentive. There were many servers around that could have helped her in the bar area but this wasn't the case. It took more than 30 min since we finished starters and there was still no sign of the entrées. We were told that they were being plated but after additional 15 min we just approached floor Manager and after explaining the situation we asked to charge us for the drinks and starters and cancel remainder of our order. The Manager apologised but at that time it was too much trouble for us and we didn't feel welcome any more. The Manager voided our full order and offered drinks and starters on the house. It was nice gesture which we appreciated. It's a shame as we had high hopes for this winery. read more

I absolutely loved drinking my glass of wine while looking out at the view this winery has to offer. They also serve food here which makes me excited to try it the next time I come back. Beautiful view with live music on the weekends, if you want to sip wine and have a cheese board you can find seating anywhere outside, but if you want to eat a full meal you must reserve or wait to be seated inside. My friends and I sat outside and shared cheese boards and enjoyed the live music! The service is quick. It was also pleasant to see all the people hanging out were so nice to each other, when we were looking for a place to sit a women gladly called us over and told us they were leaving and that we could take their spot, everyone's friendly so I'm sure it would be easy to find seating outside next time again :) read more

Driving down De Portola...are they open yet? No not yet. Finally they've opened now for a week. Growing pains and organizational creativity at work. Beautifully done and built out, its spacious with glorious decorating and million dollar views of wine country. We started off our experience wine tasting. Delightful reds, loved the Garnacha and the Sangiovese. Bigger reds are blended and taste well. They also have thier own version of the Temecula Valley GSM. Gaspar's Restaurant was delightful, with lots of seats and misters. We ordered calimari and burrata and bread for a starter. It was good. For our main we had the burger and fries. Both were good. Service was good also. The only dessert was churros and personally didn't care for. There's an upstairs members only area bar and patio that is accessed by way of an elevator. Right now the general public is allowed to use as they let people look around. We enjoyed the winery and look forward to many more visits. Cheers! read more

This is a great new winery. The views from the members balcony are gorgeous. The winery itself is immaculate (think Chip and Joanna). The staff are very helpful and do a great job while the winery is new and working out the kinks. The wine here is also good. I am a red wine drinker and I like their blend the best, while my husband likes their Cabernet Sauvignon the best. Plenty of spots to take beautiful pictures. read more

The wine tastings weren't to our liking. It was recommended by our Uber driver /realtor/mom of an actor - so that was perhaps the red flag we should have paid more mind to. We frequent Temecula often (2-3x a year) and usually go to SCW, Carter, Weins, etc. and have a wonderful time and we wanted to try new wineries so "when in Rome" so we took the advice of our Uber driver. The ambiance is a little bit too pretentious for us. The wine is overpriced. Perhaps our biggest gripe was the service. We weren't offered the same courtesy when we were specifically told to go to the cashier line and get wine tasting cards but another couple was able to be accommodated on the spot by the same wine pourer. Not the best way to treated. Won't be coming back. read more
