This is, at the moment, one of the newest wineries in the Temecula area. There is ample parking in both a lower and upper parking lot. The short driveway up from the street winds through the vineyard. When the vines are in full growth, it would be beautiful. The main lobby and tasting area was bustling with activity. People were enjoying themselves and sampling the many wines. We checked in for our reservation and made our way up to the members area. The members area is beautiful. The are still putting a few of the finishing touches on it, but it is nice! It has a very Mediterranean feel. The view of the valley is amazing. They have succeeded in transporting you to an Italian wine valley, or at least what I would envision. As for the wines, I skipped a full tasting and sampled a couple of the sweeter wines, the muscat and the white Merlot. The muscat is the sweetest they offer, and was pleasant without being syrupy (I don't have all of the wine lingo, as you know, so refer to the list I posted for the professional description). I went with the White Merlot. It's fruity on the nose with a sweet, fruity taste. I sampled my wife's Cab Sauvignon, and I liked it. Not overly dry or peppery. I'm not a red fan, but this was delightful. My sister-in-law in a wine aficionado and she raved about it, as did my wife. The Fortaleza another great wine, with hints of spice and more noticeable tannins. They have an extensive list, and I have heard nothing but great things. We next went to the on-site restaurant, Gaspar's. It is located on the first level with the tasting room. It was packed so we did have to wait about 90 minutes for our food. They WERE busy. We ordered the Altísima burgers and a chicken sandwich. Both were very good. We also ordered the calamari, which was tasty with the aioli it came with but I prefer more of a Thai sweet sauce or cocktail sauce. As for service, if you can, definitely ask for Angeline. All of the staff we worked with were very nice and helpful! This is definitely a winery to check out on your wine trip. read more

A new winery in town! What a beautiful winery! Altisima Winery in Temecula's wine country features a spacious floor level restaurant overlooking the expansive vinyard, and for members there is an upstairs private seating area with beautiful views, downstairs are 2 large bars for wine tasting and of course some of the most delicious wine in the Valley. Weekends has music to enjoy with your wine and food. A beautiful place to spend the day. read more

This is a gorgeous winery. I'm not the biggest fan of the temecula wine scene, however, this particular place completely changed my outlook. They had delicious wine. I regret not buying a bottle of the red. I truly enjoyed my time spent there last weekend. I will be sure to pay another visit soon! read more

After being at Altísima for over 3hrs today, with my friends someone in charge came over and told us we cannot bring our own snacks, nuts, cheese and crackers. We have lived in the Temecula Valley for over 20yrs, and NO Winery has EVER asked us not to bring any snacks ! There's NO SIGN stating RULES you cannot bring snacks. read more

This winery was highly recommend. The views are great and the winery itself is beautiful. We had great service in the tasting room. However I was completely shocked when one of the employees serving wine blew his nose twice, he DID NOT WASH HIS HANDS!! Both times! There's was a sink right in front of them and a had sanitizer dispenser. I don't remember his name but he was tall blonde I want to say blue eyes. Slim about 5'10-5'11. I was grossed out and glad he was not serving us. But he was grabbing the bottles with his dirty hands. Im appalled that a grown person working with customers would not have the common decency to wash his hands. read more

So if you have a table reserved GREAT! the service is better. If you find a table on the grass good luck they don't have nearly enough umbrellas for the weather. We are wine club members for several years now. After a 2 hour drive, we arrived several minutes after 6:00pm. We went inside, went up the elevator, and were told we could sit anywhere, but that they stopped serving at 6:00pm. I'm disappointed that they couldn't give us a little grace for a few minutes. But I'm not entitled. So, the minus three stars isn't for enforcing the strict "no-more serving" time. The minus three stars is for their bad operations: Historically, each time we come here, there's a sign saying "PARKING LOT FULL" when it's not full. And a super mean guy yelling at people if you try to ask a question or park there (even though there are open spots). Also, why do they allow you to go inside the winery, and up the Member elevators, when they are not serving any more? On a positive note, the staff told us, "Yes, we close at 6:00, but there are other wineries around that are still open. Somerset is right next door and it's still open." I took this to heart and went to Somerset Winery next door. WOW, amazing. Now I know where to go: large outdoor area, lively, fun people, great wines, music, GREAT VIBES. Somerset just got two new club members! Summary: There are other wineries to go to in the area which are also good, and I'm choosing to take my $$$ there now. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. However, as this is Yelp, I can't. This is specifically targeted towards the staff that initially greeted us and the people at this winery (not the servers as they were very attentive and professional). Unless you come here with white people be prepared to be stared at as if you're a circus animal. People would point and cackle at our group (we were an entire POC group). Also, the staff that initially greeted us, lied to us, and told us we didn't have a reservation even after we showed the email confirmation. While I understand that there may have been a technical and/or operational disconnect the tone and behavior that was displayed was uncalled for and unnecessary. We had to speak to a manager to get this resolved and even then they sat us in an isolated corner. All this to say I will never come back here again and do not recommend. Shoutout to Theo though! He was super kind! read more

I visited Altisima a few times when it first opened and enjoyed the offerings, but over the last few months my experience has been elevated with the phenomenal customer service provided by Ty Tyler. Every time I have come to visit and have been helped by Ty, I feel as though I leave more educated in wine and feel invited back. I came to Altisima after a friend of mine told me about the rave TikTok reviews based on a Latina owned winery. We came on a Thursday around 330pm. They had one bartender at the main bar, our wait was minimal. We ordered two tastings and the bartender told us the bar was closed and we needed to go upstairs for additional tastings. Their wines were okay, mind you, we came here from Wilson Creek (AMAZING). It turns out this winery is owned by 8-10 different families own this winery. Unfortunately, it did not meet my expectations, wine was okay, equivalent to store bought. Minimal staffing and the bartenders are not generous or make an attempt to make you feel welcome. Perhaps, Fri-Sun the ambiance is worth the hype. For me, i will not be returning. read more

My new favorite winery for sure! I don't think there's a wine that I tasted here that I didn't like. Even the whites, which I'm not usually very fond of. I became a member after the first visit because it was so delicious and I love going back for more! The restaurant on site is fantastic and delicious every time as well! My husband and I were so excited to come here for our anniversary weekend after a recommendation from another winery in the area. Unfortunately, we just didn't feel very welcomed or like this place wanted to serve us. We had a horrible interaction with Crystal and to think she has any type of leadership over staff is so hard to believe. Please have her watch some more customer service training videos or something, we were not the only customers having a problem with Crystal, we over heard multiple tables having similar complaints. So disappointing considering how beautiful the winery and grounds are. read more

I decided to do a wine tasting for my birthday with 2 other guests and drove from LA to Temecula on a Sunday. Arriving to the estate was easy, there's plenty of free parking spots surrounding the winery. It's quite an uphill stroll and some stairs are involved, but you definitely get a workout in. They have a covered patio area of tables that are either reserved or you put your name down to get a table on the left side of the winery, the middle/terrace area is usually used for private parties/events such as a bridal shower or birthday party, where there are 2 outside bars and sometimes they offer live music, the back area of the estate has a grassy area with small vendors selling jewelry and such with picnic style tables (no shade or cover), a gazebo of seating facing in my opinion, the best part of the view, and a separate location for wine club members. The inside is where you do the actual wine tasting experience, and has high bar stool tables and chairs for seating as well. Stepping up to the hostess desk, a man who worked there greeted us and very quickly told us what they offer and then walked away (had nothing to do with the check in desk area, so it was a little confusing). The hostesses had the same spiel to give, and I had mentioned it was our first time and we had absolutely no idea how to even begin a wine tasting experience. The explanations were rushed and basically told us to figure it out. We walked away towards the inside/outside terrace of the winery and were stuck walking around for 5 minutes not knowing where to go. We stopped by one of the outside bars and asked for help, the bartender told us we could start our wine tasting experience inside. Now was that so hard to help us navigate where we're supposed to go and what we're supposed to do? Not everything should be explained on a script, most of the time hospitality and customer service goes a longer distance than formalities. We finally get inside and the women working the front for the tastings were really impersonal and standoffish. We finally start getting a tasting experience going, asked for recommendations and none were received or explained so we just picked random options and had them pour. Throughout the 6 tastings we had, each pour was a different amount, if the bottle they were using was running low, they would pour the last bits of it (barely 2 sips), and hand it over, vs a bottle that was more than full, would get a nice even tasting pour. We eventually wanted to order food, and before we even started the tasting, we asked for a table and the hostess told us it would be over an hour wait. We put our names down, they called us in the middle of our 2/6 tasting, which was less than 20 min. So we went to our table and kept having to go back inside one by one to taste our different wines, as we were at a table now and not just doing the tasting experience inside. Food was great, service at the table was also great. Afterwards we left our table and walked towards the gazebo area and sat down by the view. The most enjoyable part of our day just taking in the atmosphere. On our way out, we wanted to experience a different viewpoint which was the bar area with the stools next to the tables of the "reserved/name down" area. I very nicely asked the hostess if we could sit in the empty seats for just a second to finish our last tasting and take in the view, she told us no those are reserved areas and not just open for anyone to sit at as they please. "Sorryyyy those are reserved spaces" with a smile that was clearly not genuine. We understood, dropped our wine glasses off at the bar, and proceeded to our next destination. All in all, the service here was not great. The entire experience felt absolutely rushed, it was not focused on the wine tasting experience at all, they are more focused on selling tables and getting you to order food. There was no explanations on a quick backstory of the wines we were interested in trying, it was just like "which one do you want" "*point*" poured it, and just told us to enjoy. I didn't enjoy my time here at all, and I won't be back to visit, as there are many many other lowkey wineries that are not as highly reviewed or popular as this one, and they are a much better experience.

The room was standard casino hotel fare -- slight dust, lackluster sheets -- nothing alarming. Upon check-in, I placed my packing cubes with clothes on top of the small dresser inside the closet, where they stayed the entire weekend. Sunday morning at checkout, I went to grab my last set of clothes and made an unfortunate discovery: everything on that dresser REEKED of URINE. My clothes were dry, but the smell was unmistakably human urine. I thought I was losing my mind, so I asked my fiancé to smell the dresser after I cleared my clothes -- she gagged. Our best guess: a previous guest relieved themselves in the closet, and it wasn't cleaned up properly. At 8:45am on 6/14, I went to the front desk to report it. The attendants were empathetic and went to find a manager. After 5-10 minutes with no manager in sight, I had to leave -- I had a 12:20pm flight out of ONT and needed to stop at Target to buy clothes to wear home to Austin, TX. The front desk took my phone number and email, gave me a business card for Guest Services Manager Nathan Vicente, and said someone would follow up. I specifically requested an email since I'd be traveling all day. After my travel day, no call, no email. At 5:59pm PT I called the number on the card -- the manager on call had clocked out at 5pm. Monday 6/15, still no outreach by 12:50pm. I called at 12:59pm and reached the new Guest Services Manager, Jessie Matteson. She informed me this was a Housekeeping matter and would escalate it. To her credit, she followed through quickly -- Housekeeping Manager Christina Reyes called me at 1:44pm. I expected resolution. Instead, Christina told me she'd inspected the room, said everything was fine, and Pechanga would not be doing anything for me. When I asked when the room was first checked, she said 9:53am on 6/14 -- about an hour after my complaint. I found that hard to believe, and after two calls and a third callback just to receive a flat denial, I told Christina I thought she was being dishonest. Not my finest moment, but I had no other response. All I had asked for was a one-night refund. Instead, I was denied and made to feel like my experience wasn't real. I won't be returning, and I'd advise anyone staying here to do a smell check of their room first.

I recently had a truly disappointing experience at Altisima Winery, and I feel compelled to share my negative review. My family and I have been loyal members of Altisima Winery since they first opened their doors. We've always enjoyed bringing our kids along and spending quality time on the patio and in the grassy area. However, our most recent visit for a friend's 40th birthday celebration left a sour taste in our mouths. To start with, I made a reservation for lunch well in advance and never received any indication that there might be an issue with having children present. When we arrived and spent over $800 on food and wine, we were repeatedly bombarded with complaints about our kids being on the premises. The staff's attitude was not only rude but also disrespectful. After lunch, we decided to relax with a glass of wine and take in the beautiful view while capturing some memorable pictures. Shockingly, we were confronted by three separate individuals who told us our kids needed to leave the area. In fact, their suggestion was for the kids to sit out in front of the winery by themselves! This was not only unacceptable but also completely unsafe. I understand that Altisima Winery may want to create a more adult-oriented atmosphere, but the way they handled the situation was nothing short of appalling. Their approach to addressing the presence of children was utterly embarrassing and humiliating. I had previously recommended this winery to our friends, but after this experience, I can confidently say that I have no desire to return to Altisima Winery ever again. In conclusion, Altisima Winery's treatment of us, loyal customers of many years, was unacceptable. Their lack of professionalism and their disrespectful approach to dealing with children on their premises has tarnished my view of this establishment. I sincerely hope they reconsider their policies and learn to treat their customers with the respect they deserve. Until then, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Altisima Winery to anyone. read more

My husband and I enjoyed ourselves immensely in Temecula Valley this past Memorial Day, booking Altisima's Tour Elevado ahead of time. We learned about the area and land, the vines, winemaking, trying an almost ready wine, and then sitting out on the balcony drinking five of their good wines paired with five tasty cheeses and the most yummy fig-jalapeño jam (with surprisingly no bite/heat to it!). Extraordinary views! Their Muscato took us by surprise as we generally do not like them but this one is not super sweet and more flavorful. A bottle came home with us:) Ty was our personable and experienced guide throughout the tour - a keeper! The winery is only a one hour scenic drive from San Diego and it was well worth it. Plus, there is a loop of 40+ wineries in this valley and lots of horse farms if you want to spend more time up there. We came by 11 am to enjoy the music and enjoy some good company. Unfortunately the umbrella that we got was badly accommodated and it kept turning sideways giving shade to everyone around our group except where we were sitting. We were a big group with kids. I tried to accommodate it myself to not bother anyone since I have the same umbrella at home. They sent a security guard to tell me not to touch the umbrella. I told them I knew what was wrong with it and they didn't care. They they called the managers and one guy named "Elliot" came to tell me I couldn't touch the umbrella. Even when I offered myself to fix it he didn't want to even listen to me and just threw a fit. Music was great, wine so so, staff really really sucks. read more

This winery is AMAZING. The customer service alone is enough to make you want to come back. My husband and I joined the wine club due to the amazing service Connor gave us in the tasting room the first time we visited the winery. Fast forward to our experience yesterday we were possibly going to be late for our reservation and Aspen helped tremendously and was very kind on the phone. When we got to the winery of course it was packed and busy but Amber (hostess) was so sweet and accommodating. Michele was our server in the lounge and checked in on our party several times to make sure we didn't need anything and was so sweet. I had such a wonderful experience at this winery! From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, attentive, and welcoming. The food was absolutely delicious -- beautifully presented and full of flavor, pairing perfectly with the wines. I especially want to acknowledge Ty, who went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure we felt well taken care of the entire time. His recommendations were spot on, and you can tell he genuinely cares about providing excellent service. I went a lot of times at altisima winery. Everything is so nice and beautiful. We went to celebrate our 1st anniversary with my husband in june 2021 and since that this winery is my favorite place in temecula. Especially for the manager Crystal, she is so nice, she is smilling all the time and she is taking care of the customer. I went to the gala too and everything was amazing. I am already married but I recommend this place for a wedding or any other events. The staff is nice, the food is really good and the place is so cute and perfect for a instagram post! We had the BEST experience at Altisima Winery thanks to our waiter Jay! From the moment we sat down, he was completely on top of everything--attentive without being overbearing, quick with every request, and genuinely kind the entire time. Jay made us feel so welcome and taken care of, like we were his top priority even though the place was busy. Our glasses were never empty, everything came out perfectly timed, and he had such a warm, friendly energy that made the whole experience even more special. I recently visited Altísima Winery and was absolutely blown away by the entire experience. Nestled in the rolling hills, this place is a true escape from the everyday. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a beautiful panoramic view of the vineyards. The staff especially Denise is incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about their wines. We enjoyed a private tasting with a variety of their most popular selections. Date: 3/22/24 Ambiance: it was raining the day I attended the winery but the ambiance was nice. Open environment you can hear everyone's convo and laughter. Price: $$$ Charcuterie board $35 Bread $10 Service; below par. It was raining. Leo is an asshole waiter. He follower me around and assured I couldn't put my board down. When I finally did my drink was removed, it was a full glass. The concierge star also a bitch. Management really needs to purge staff. Overall prices are winery prices but Altisima is not worth the visit cause if the staff. read more

Connor made our afternoon! He was a wealth of knowledge for tasting notes and new vintage releases, was friendly and fun, and helped us navigate our wine pickups with whatever substitutions we wanted (definitely a selling point for Altisima's wine club!). We let him know we had a lunch reservation across the street, and he got us in and out efficiently, while also making sure we got the most of our membership perks. We came back after lunch! Altisima Winery in Temecula wine country provided a wonderful experience for an early lunch on the Memorial Day holiday. Our waitress, Shanice, was friendly, patient and professional. She was the highlight, as well as the food. Try the parmesan fries and grilled cheese sandwich - THE BEST! The view and outdoor ambiance is incredible. Overall, the winery is very classy. It's a nice addition to our Temecula wine country and is a recommended stop along anyone's wine tasting route. read more

I visited Altisima Winery recently and was really impressed by the whole experience. It's a gorgeous winery with a restaurant and a beautiful patio for listening to live music. What really stood out for me was my interactions with Charlene during my tasting. She was attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable about the wines.
