What a smart idea to have bowls! It's an awesome way to make Filipino food go mainstream even more so. Love it! In addition to their popular lumpia and banana turon, it's a fairly straightforward menu where you choose between jasmine rice and pancit. Then choose your protein (pork adobo, chicken adobo, menudo and guisantes). And then have unlimited toppings! I was so happy with my bowl. I can make this at home, but it's nice to have an option when you're lazy and just wanna enjoy all the outlet shops at Waikele. I had the pork adobo with tomato, onions, scallions and garlic chips as my toppings. It was so fresh and good as if my Filipino grandma made it especially for me:)

Seems like the service was better when they were in the little hut. I ordered 6 pieces of lumpia and it took 36mins(ordered 7:11pm got @ 7:47pm June 13th). Establishment should not be called Express, The girl who was running the cashier was telling customers @ 7:20pm that they stopped taking orders, some asked also why it's not 8pm? That's no way to treat your customers when the sign states 8pm. I overheard the girl telling the cook that he or she had messed up maybe gave my order away. My family was frustrated, Alyssandra's has lost us as a long time regular customer, from now on we will be making our own.

They opened a bigger shop! New spot is about 100 feet fr the old one, and offers bowls. Start with psncit or rice, and add pork gisantes, chicken adobo or other mains, and toppings like lettuce, and bamboo shoots. Of course they still have their yummy lumpia! Service is quick and friendly, and tables to eat in the courtyard. Casual vibes for local style food. Check out their new bowls!

Came for their grand opening of their new shop at Waikele after seeing it promoted on Instagram. Came an hour after opening and the line wasn't that long. I wanted to get the pork Adobo for the build your own bowl (BYOB) but they ran out so I got the chicken Adobo. It wasn't sour or tangy but just right. The pancit bihon with onion and tomatoes mixed in was a good combination. It came with a side of their homemade sweet chili sauce but I didn't need it for the bowl. I also got the vegetable with Pork lumpia which was good too and having it with the sweet chili sauce made it taste even better. It wasn't until I got home that I realized I didn't get 10% off as part of their grand opening weekend deal which was a little annoying as the girl kept telling customers if you spend $4 more or whatever the amount was you'll get the discount. I don't know why she forgot to input my discount as I spent over $20. Inside was clean and bright. The wait for the food wasn't long. They were organized. Although food and service was good, this isn't a place I would frequently come back to when I visit Oahu.

    Pork veggie lumpia.

Pork and veggies lumpia. 1% pork, 1% carrots , 98% cabbage. Would give 0 stars of possible.

Went to Alyssandra Lumpia in Waikele yesterday and ordered the Menudo bowl. Unfortunately, I was really disappointed with the portion size for the price. It honestly looked like just a small spoonful of menudo over rice, especially for almost $15. The flavor was decent, but the serving size made it feel overpriced and not very satisfying. I was expecting much better value based on the price and reputation.

Alessandra's Lumpia Express is our go to snack stop whenever we're at Waikele Outlets. This tiny shack might be easy to miss, but the Shanghai lumpia is hot, crispy, and packed with flavor. Perfect for munching while shopping around the outlets. It's become a must have treat every time we're here!

Got lumpia? Lumpia is made with wrapped savory or sweet filling then fried to crisp. We got a dozen of poke shanghai lumpia and 4 banana lumpia. I got excited and forgot to take photos prior to eating lol The pork shanghai is filled with pork stir fry veggies for its filling. It's seasoned well and sooo yummm!!! The lady gave us two different sauces. One was vinegar with garlic and pepper. The other is sweet chili but it tastes like a vinegar is added. The banana lumpia is sweet, and the bananas are also fresh. It's good, I just need more of that sugar coating that makes it crunchier and crispier. I'd definitely drive 30 minutes to buy more of the pork shanghai. Alyssandra's Lumpia Express is located in Waikele outlet in front of Men's Coach. It's open Monday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 8:00 pm and on Sunday from 12:00 pm to 6:00 pm. It's definitely worth a visit. There's not many chairs and tables to sit but this food can be eating with just your two fingers! ;) We bought ours and ate it at home. It took about 30 minutes and it was delicious, crunchy and crispy! The lady was friendly and patience. The customer before us was wishy washy but the lady remained calmed and continued with a smile on her face. Her kiosk stand only allowed with one person working. Thank you for making such yummy lumpia's! Thank you for reading my review. Have a great Sunday!

Quick bit. It seems when I'm here shopping or want something quick, this is my stop. Sure I go across the tables for Thai but it's hard to walk around the mall eating a plate of curry. The stall is just big enough for two people to run the place. One person takes orders/cashier and the other preps and cooks. They have the standard lumpia's: Shanghai, Turon, and mix (veggies with pork) Aside from lumpia they offer Filipino bento dishes like pork guisantes and pancit. And the occasional dessert. Overall four stars, food is good and quick unfortunately they don't drain the oil enough so it soaks through the paper bag and sometimes the napkins. Now excuse me, I have to wash my hands. M

I love their lumpia! Can't go wrong with any of their lumpia from here! Get a bunch of Shanghai or pork + veges and don't forget their banana lumpia! They also have pancit too. Great place to come and get your lumpia fix!

It might've been the search for fried chicken to which Minasa didn't disappoint. We arrived just after opening and happened to get the last open table - after ordering, of course. The restaurant is clean and well put together with darker accents. Our food came out relatively quick - having the chef's special and ube churros. The kalbi sauce soaking into the rice was the perfect balance of flavors. Same for the calamansi fried chicken. Lechon, I must say was also a fine example of how seriously the chefs take their selection of ingredients - as I looked closer, it had the classic 5 layers (shown in my photo). Usually, this is the prime factor in the perfect roast pork - providing juicy layers of pork meat. Overall, this has been the best (new) meal we've had in a LONG time. It was so delicious, I could only wish there was a way to share this place with a larger collection of diners because frankly, if you haven't tried this place, I honestly think you're missing out on the definition of culinary art. Each dish carefully crafted with the goal of providing the best experience to all the patrons. I seriously seriously hope you all have a chance to visit. If we're ever back on this side of the island, we won't hesitate to stop by.

They talked it up and hyped it up so my wife and I decided to try it out last October for our anniversary. We showed up and they were closed for an event. Since then we've tried to eat here multiple times with it being booked or not open. It's been elusive. Last weekend was the weekend we finally were able to eat here being in Waipahu and the wait finally ended! We ordered the chef's special, salted egg fried rice, ube churros, and banana lumpia sundae. The dishes were colorful and vibrant. Everything tasted good but we were looking for that twist that was hyped up to us and there was nothing unfamiliar to our taste buds. Though we left full and enjoyed our meal, the "new" flavors didn't stand out. Overall we were quite underwhelmed especially with all the hype that was given to us over their food. Maybe I ordered the wrong things? Not sure but we'll likely give this a second shot when we're in Waipahu again at the right time.

It was sure good to be back, and I am happy for their business to have its own place where customers can sit, not just takeout. They are now located near West Loch station by Mickey D's and Seafood City [the shops West Loch station). I live in Honolulu but it was sure worth it to take the rail to satisfy my sisig craving. I ordered their pork sisig with rice, and it sure was still delish! Pro tip for the business is using calamansi instead of lemon (but still good!). My order seems like it is for just one person but honestly, if you share it with another person, you'd still be satisfied because it is stomach-heavy! If you didn't have much to eat throughout the day, you could easily demolish the sisig dish I ordered. For drinks, they have canned sodas inside for $2.00 but I decided to get some smoothies at Hang's just doors down the place. As the parking spot may fill up, you can always drop a buddy off to pick up some to-go order. I have yet to try some of their other dishes such as their beef pares noodles. So--if you are craving ramen--try switching it up and get some of their noodles! I also recommend getting bulk orders for parties! Mahalo and I hope this business continues to reap success!

They have everything from bbq sticks, adobo, lechon, kilawan, lumpia and more. I got the bbq stick & chicken inasal plate. The bbq stick was packed with so much flavor! The chicken inasal was more on the huli huli side & was served with Filipino dipping sauce. They also offer free sabaw with your meal. Ordering was a little complicating, they have a menu outside with food and also more food inside. The bbq items were cooked by order and the inside food had more of the Filipino dishes like (adobo). It was exactly like I expected. The bud bud was colored purple. It was perfect dipped in sugar! The biko was also very good. I'm glad this place exists and I'll be back to give them another try.
