AVI IS MY HERO!! I added an electric motor (LiftMaster RSL12UL) to my gate in June 2022, and it started acting up last week - the gate would open when I used the remote, but it wouldn't close, which forced me to have to close it manually every time. I called the company that installed it and they sent out a technician who said the battery was dead and needed to be replaced. Instead I turned to Yelp and found AM PM and Avi - I called him on a Thursday and he was at my house Friday morning. The first thing Avi said when he opened the casing on the gate operator: "It's not the battery - if it was, the gate operator would be beeping every 30 seconds", and within 15 minutes he had fixed the wiring and it was working perfectly. All of a sudden our Liftmaster LA500 gate opener stopped working. We had started seeing some problems exhibited with it before but nothing like this where it just would not open the gate anymore. After replacing the 2 batteries, still saw that the gate would not open, though this did clear the low battery indicator. Alex came on Saturday within the time window that we were expecting. He quickly diagnosed the problem to see that one part on the circuit board fried. He replaced the circuit board with a new one that he had on hand (he had several new ones on hand as he would replace 5 of these per day). He tuned the gate settings, setup our MyQ with the new board, and let us know honestly what happens to gates as the ground does tend to shift and make the gate sag.
