Amarith exists with people that are passionate about food, and ultimately it helps support an even more important cause, which perhaps the owner, Adam would share if you get a chance to meet him. However, my review is based on food, service, and cost. Needless to say, Adam is a genuinely great guy and Amarith indeed is focused on natural but also good tasting food. Nothing comes from a can nor is there msg. I ordered the combo (1/2 sandwich, 1/2 soup) unforgettable cheesesteak and spicy tom yum soup special of the day. The soup was good and just the right amount of spice, even though the soup did not have much oil or redness, which is difficult to pull off. The sandwich was very good, wish I had ordered the full! And the price is pretty good for what you get in return. You can probably get a full meal for about $7-10 mostly, depending if you want a drink etc.. I cannot begin to express how much I love Amarith :) I work at CHOC Children's Hospital and very often order my food online or via phone and walk in to pick up my order. I have been coming to Amarith for the last 3 and 1/2 years. I have tried so many items from their menu! Each item I have tried is made with high quality ingredients, which is why Amarith is the ONLY place I go to for lunch if I don't bring lunch from home. Some off my favorites include: the roast beef sandwhich, the posole, the beef chili, chicken nachos, crispy chicken burger, the fries are always fresh, the fish tacos, and more. Most recently; my coworkers and I are enjoying all of their new pastries. Ive tried the cupcakes, cookies, cake, and parfaits. I absolutely love the staff. The rye bread was my "Eureka!" find- grilled to perfection with the tastiest cheesy crunch outside, yet still slightly chewy to the bite. Today (10/25/16) was my first meal at Amarith Gourmet Cafe in Orange. It won't be my last. The very appetizing food was quickly served by cheerful, polite folks who made me feel welcome immediately. I enjoyed an Asian Chicken Salad with Raspberry Iced Tea. The freshness and flavor were quite good; and the portion size just right to leave me feeling satisfied; but not "overstuffed". What the burritos lack in size they make up for in heart: the Lumberjack breakfast burrito I ordered came with WHOLE strips of bacon, chopped baby potatoes, spicy Italian sausage, scrambled eggs and plenty of gooey melted cheese. This is place is good. Really good. I've had a couple of there breakfast sandwiches and they never disappoint. Somehow they are able to take such a simple food and make it amazing with there great breads. Their croissants are flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. The brioche is soft and with the perfect amount of bite. I've had there breakfast potatoes and they were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The coffee is amazing too. With the great prices and a friendly atmosphere this place has become a go to for me. It's kind of hidden, just look for the medical plaza, it's in there. Depending on what you get sometimes I have noticed the food takes a little long, but I think it's worth it. Sam is the man!! He made me feel so welcome here at Amarith Cafe, and this place is worth every penny! The food is looks great, and TASTES AMAZING! I got the Bacon Egg Brioche (their Saturday special), and it didn't disappoint! Their croissants are also excellent! I recommend this place to anyone that likes great service and GREAT FOOD. Friendliest staff, they always want to make sure that you enjoyed your food and that you were well taken care of. I love the entire breakfast menu, especially the sunrise special without meat, very budget friendly. They're bread is sooo delicious. I wanted coffee, but was not sure what to get. I mentioned that I usually get a caramel macchiatto from Starbucks, and guess what they made me a caramel macchiatto which was not on their menu. Talk about customer service! Pretty good breakfast food!!! We had pancakes and French toast platters. The pancakes were very light and fluffy and the French toast was very tasty and delicious. The scrambled eggs, bacon, and ham were all good. The syrup was fantastic. Only thing I didn't like were the hash browns which were pre-made and oily. My bf and I went on a Saturday to try their breakfast and I have to say, officially one of my favorite breakfast places. This cafe is situated in the middle of corporate buildings and if family owned. Everyone here is so nice, which is a bonus because their food is amazing.
