Several years I've been out in Tracy now, and this local family owned Chinese joint never disappoints! Starting with the friendly staff, you really feel like you're eating at a place that cares about the people they are serving. All of the times we've had takeout from here, I think we've tried a majority of their menu by now. The dishes that really stand out are some classics that this restaurant knows their way around! It would rival one of the fancy restaurants in the city no problem. My family loves to order the honey walnut shrimp, spicy eggplant, salt and pepper fish fillet, dry sautéed string beans, salt and pepper tofu, and chef special wings. We're asian so we usually make a pot of white rice at home, but when we have guests over... we'll sometimes opt for a chow fun or fried rice. One of the best parts about this place is the free item you get when you grab more than 3 items! We always get the soup because it's the perfect starter to the whole feast. Food is legit! I'm ultra picky with Chinese food and even more hesitant when trying to identify my go-to Chinese spot in Tracy. Thanks to fellow Yelpers, we have found it in Amazing Kitchen! Delicious and generous portions. The first time we ordered we got a LOT of food. The person over the phone let us know they have a special where they throw in a free appetizer food when you spend XXX amount. I can't recall the exact amount since it's been a few months. This one of the better Chinese Restaurant I the Tracy area, there was a LINE of people waiting for it to open! Once in I could see why. Very clean and the service was prompt and knowledgeable about the menu, helpful when it came to offering suggestions. The wait was a bit shorter than normal when it comes to Chinese lunch dishes, and I was not disappointed when the meal was presented. What a let down. I thin k this is a somewhat generous 2.5 stars. I live in Mountain House and the Town raves about the food here so Hubs and I made the drive Saturday and wended up being really disappointed. The service is great! Very friendly staff but the food was just not very good. Firstly - Hue portions! Maybe that's why people rave about it as it's good value but each dish could do with improvements: - Egg Rolls. Very greasy and Vegetables inside overcooked. - Sweet & Sour Chicken was so overcooked and had minimal Chicken. Only found 3 pieces of Pineapple in the entire dish. - Combination Noodles. Needs more 'combination'. Only had 1 Shrimp and maybe 3 bits of Chicken. The Pork however was good. I think the Complimentary Wonton's were probably our favorite part of the meal. I may be inclined to return and give them another try, for now though I can probably do better at home. read more

Came back here after a while and this time, we ordered two lunch specials - (1) Honey Walnut Prawns with Fried Rice and (2) Szechuan Chicken with Chow Mein Noodles. Unfortunately, we didn't enjoy the chicken much. It was too chewy and the flavor was a bit plain. The noodles were average, they could've also had more flavor. The prawns and fried rice were pretty good. We also got an order of crab puffs - these were my favorite. They were hot and crunchy, and were so good with the sweet and sour sauce. The lunch specials each came with an egg roll, a fried wonton, and a small box of soup. The egg roll was quite delicious. Overall, this place serves good food and there was definitely a large quantity of food in the lunch specials! Next time, I'd try something other than the Szechuan chicken. read more

Amazing Kitchen is the best! We came to eat here on a weekday and it wasn't busy at all. The food came fast and it was really good. We had the combo fried rice, salt and pepper pork, salt and pepper calamari, mapo tofu, and fried wings. They are super good. Even when I took home the wings, a few hours later it's still crispy! I also used them to order party trays for my daughter's birthday and they are more than accommodating. The lady who helped me placed my order over the phone was super nice and patient. I live in Mountain House and they offered to deliver my order since it's a few dishes. The delivery person even came 5 mins before my order was supposed to arrive! The service here is excellent and the food is, as their name implies, simply amazing! They claim they don't use MSG and I agree with this completely! Our guests even said they don't feel bloated or lethargic even after eating that much food! The prices are also reasonably priced for half trays order and the amount of food you get. Got to be without a doubt some of the worst Chinese food I've ever eaten. The egg rolls spoke volumes about how old and reused the oil was that it was fried in. Tiny and tasteless they did more to stop my hunger than to start it. The main dishes were passable, but just barely. The staff did attempt to make the experience a good one, but no amount of good service can make up for horrible food. With all the positive reviews here, I really wanted to like this place. Coming from the Bay Area, and also growing up Asian, I've been exposed to a plethora of Chinese food. Seeing all these reviews, I was excited to see a highly rated Chinese option in the area, so I thought to give it a try. On both occasions I've been here, I've done take-out...over two months apart. At first I thought it was a fluke...but the second time confirmed my fears: their food isn't very good. -The Prawn Egg Foo Yung was very bland. Horribly so. The gravy itself lacked flavor, and the omelette itself tasted like I was eating tofu with vegetables in it. The prawn had some odd breading around it that really ruined the texture and flavor. -The Mongolian Beef was far too sweet. It lacked strong savory punch that is suppose to come with it, and killed my appetite with its sweetness very quickly. -The Crab Puffs...I was really looking forward to this after seeing all the rave reviews. I've been known to go to Buffets and many other restaurants and just packing pounds of this away...but not here. It tasted like just regular cream cheese wrapped in wonton skin and then fried. It lacked any sort of crab (even imitation) and the hint of sweetness that typically comes with it. I ended up throwing my food away...I couldn't stand the taste. They were quite nice, and the prices are comparable to what's in the immediate area...but unfortunately those two parts alone isn't enough to have me coming back. This is my new go-to spot for Chinese food in Tracy. I ordered the Crab Rangoon, Fried Chicken Wings, Chicken Chow Fun, Hong Kong Pan Fried Noodles, and Sweet and Sour Chicken. I got all of that food for 55 dollars and every single item was delicious! There wasn't a single dish that I did not enjoy and the Chicken Chow Fun, Crab Rangoons, and Fried Chicken Wings were my personal favorites. I placed an order to be picked up so I cannot attest to the dining service but my food was ready in a timely manner so that it was still hot when I brought it home. We skipped Panda and decided to give this place a chance based on the reviews, they sure didn't disappoint! Got the honey walnut prawns, chicken fried rice, cheese puffs and Mongolian beef, all very good and delivered hot thru DoorDash. They didn't miss any items so I'd say the service was good. My man said the Mongolian beef was on the spicer side, but he doesn't do spice anyways. Give it a shot, you won't be disappointed. read more

Every time I have ordered either takeout or delivery, Amazing Kitchen never fails to impress me. Not only does it have the best flavor but they also have the best value meal. Lunch special you get an entree, side of fried rice or chow mein, a soup, wonton, and egg roll for less than $11. Staff has been pleasant over the phone , in person, and during delivery. The name of the this restaurant is well deserved. While visiting Tracy this weekend, I reluctantly looked for a Chinese restaurant on yelp as I am pretty devoted to a local spot in fremont. I can honestly say, I am devoted no longer ! I admittedly was hesitant based on the photos of the food, but I'm glad we took the leap of faith, the food was AWESOME! We came in around 6:30pm, the restaurant was 1/4 full but I did notice a ton of people coming in for take out. I ordered our meal (listed below) and it came with a free appetizer of your choice, either (imitation) crab puffs or fried wontons. I suggest going with the wontons! Wor wonton soup $8.95: SOOOO GOOD! The broth was so flavorful and the wontons were amazing ! All of the veggies were cooked perfectly, soft, but a nice crunch to them. I highly suggest you try this ! Mongolian beef: the beef was cooked so perfectly and I could clearly taste every layer of flavor. It was slightly spicy but not overbearing . Kung Pao Chicken: the chicken was incredibly tender and the veggies were slightly sautéed and still deliciously crisp. The sauce had a bit of a kick but again, nothing too spicy . House fried rice : contained veggies, beef, chicken& shrimp. Highly recommend. Everything was 5/5 stars for me, including service . And to top it off, our total was $38, which was a total shock to me, Chinese food can normally get expensive. But this place was amazingly affordable !
