I bought this at the Ventura County Fair this year. Excited for football season. I have heard about this box from a neighbor but because I went to the other booth I have been screwed. I was told it's the best thing I will enjoy. I took box home and set it up just as I was told. Hook up to internet, turn on and stream. Well to my surprise it kept saying "error" when I went to stream movies. It continued. So I try to see what I did wrong. I went on their website, and tried to understand what step I could have missed. I called. No answer. They are ONLY available during work hours Monday thru Friday and on Saturday 10-2. I left a message and got a call back on Monday for a Saturday appointment. I was okay with that. I waited. I had an appointment scheduled at 10am. Nothing. I called at 10:05 no answer. I left a messaged in all departments. I left a message online. Nothing. It is now 12:45pm and still nothing. I am lost for words on how this company operates let alone communicates. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. After several years struggling to make our ATVB work, and annually renewing the "service contract" to get the nice young man on for remote access, it appears this Temecula, CA based operation has thrown in the towel. While the website and toll-free phone line are still up, you will not get an actual response. The box has Android OS with Lollipop...which seems to work fine. But their ATVB Media software is what pulled from dozens of add-ons to find the streaming content for you. However these add-onset were never ready for prime-time. And despite having last paid the annual "subscription" in 2019, that software just exceeded a year out of date (v.08/2019). "Kimberly" made contact last spring and attempted to get another $150 for another year of service contract...but we were current through August...we said no. If anyone at ATVB wants to reach us, our contact info is unchanged. But for now, our ATVB is going in the box with the VHS Video Recorder. read more

Bought two boxes at the LA Fair in like 2015... was told I'd never need anything else again. Like all the other reviews said, box worked sometimes, but usually not... slow connections, constant buffering (even though I have gigabit service). Didn't even use them then for a year because they sucked so much. Then in September 2017 the boxes stopped working altogether because ATVB upgraded their platform from 4.2 to 5.0 android (even though I was told I'd never need another box). I called to complain, and I was somehow convinced to trade in my old box for the new "Platinum" box with live TV, etc for $300. Box worked until July and I was fairly happy... still had problems and slowness, but worked about 75% of the time... better during the day than at night. It stopped working in July 2018.. wouldn't connect to the internet either through ethernet or wifi...and I emailed and heard nothing till late October when they called to renew my $150 subscription. To their credit, they did have a supervisor contact me. She claimed they emailed and called me in July (I have no email and no calls, for the record) and she scheduled a tech appointment to look at my box. I let her know that I had no record of emails or calls(I had gone back through phone records and emails) when she called to tell me the tech was running late. The tech never called, and the supervisor called me, YELLED AT ME, CALLED ME A LIAR, AND SAID THEY DIDNT WANT TO DO BUSINESS WITH ME. AVOID THESE CROOKS. I can't express the disappointment I had from almost the first day I got my box. the box works in general but any extras or anything that I have upgraded I would have problems. calling the company and then having to wait at home for them to fix the box while I was at the house. They charged me $150 for one year of tech support. When my box quit working in late July, I called and was told that due to the coronavirus I could not be helped until Sept 1st. I was also sent a link to their advertising page. On Sept 2nd I called and was told to send them a picture of the home page. I was also told a tech would contact me by the end of the week. A week later I sent a text because no one would return my calls. This time more of the truth came out and I was told they do not have tech support anymore. For a solution Kimberly gave my the web site address to ROKU TV, I asked for a refund but was told the $150 was for a license. What good is a license for something that does not work? Terrible....have had nothing but problems with this box....trying to get it ready for the pro bowl today and yet again....another error...go figure. Luckily I have an Amazon fire stick with kodi on it. So..was contacted by the lady yesterday saying I owed them like $150 to Continue my service. I told her the whole reason I bought the thing was because no dues or fees. She then told me since I used the tech support, I owed them money to continue. Um, yes, I did use the tech support because the thing didn't work on more than one occasion. She then proceeded to tell me that it broke down to $12 a month. "I'm sure you make more than $12 an hour so it should be easy." Minimum wage in California is at least $12 she says. This box has never worked properly for me and always has led to frustration so I've just turned it off. We purchased the ATVB about two years ago from the Del Mar Fair in San Diego, CA. Well the box worked great for about six months, then it stopped working. Called the company and they said we would have to purchase the annual subscription to get the update on the box; did that and the box worked for about two weeks and again stopped working. This was last done in August 2019. All of a sudden, In April 2020, this shady company charged our credit card $125 without our authorization, which is totally fraud. We did not even know they retained our credit card information. They will only call you back when you leave a one star review on their site. The woman that called back, said they sent an email informing they were changing the way they did business, which is not true. Further, when asked why they fraudulently charged our credit card, she said she would have to check her records. I too bought the box at the Fair in Ventura. Initially, it wouldn't work and I had to set up a telephone appt with a tech. While he was a few minutes late to the phone, we got through all of the requirements to fix a factory glitch with an updated software patch. So far, haven't watched much since there hasn't been anything on live that I already don't have on Direct TV. So I don't have much in the way of war stories...yet, and I'm keeping an open mind. If I can watch additional high school football games on Friday and Saturday outside of my area, I'll be more than happy. read more

I've read all of the reviews. I gotta say I do agree with some, but disagree with more. Ive had my share of problems with it, but it has worked 95% of the time. It is a pain when you call for help and they give you a time block in three days. But it always fixes the problem. My biggest complaint was always the buffering. I complained to the only guy that Ive every had help me and he suggested I pay for the Real Debris. Its a file host downloader that gives you 1080P on most programs. Its cheap too. its like $13 for 6 months. The company is in Germany and support emails you send them are answered in German. But now I have zero buffering and I only watch 1080P. Plus some movies that you can't find in Yoda, you'll find in Real Debrid. Go to Real debris web page. Sign up. Then go to the system setting on your box. Go to the real Debris option.
