I'm assuming frontier is Verizon FIOS since I can't find frontier anywhere on yelp. Some door to door salesman came by and convinced my roommate to switch over from spectrum because of how much better and faster frontier was. We went from "100mbps" with spectrum to "150mbps" with frontier. Ummm this is false, I have done numerous speed tests (when the WiFi is actually working, which is half the time) and it's about 1/4 the speed of spectrum. We have one device hooked up to the Ethernet cable and that's the only device that seems to work. The WiFi is an absolute joke. It cuts out constantly and my fire stick & ps4 give me error codes and trouble shooting info. The troubleshooting says to reboot modem and if that doesn't work to contact our service provider. Rebooting doesn't work so what do we do? We call frontier. Once we were connected to somebody we explained the issues and were told that it was because we had more than one device connected to WiFi or we could be having issues if the modem is near a microwave. Are you kidding me?! First off the modem is 15 yards from the microwave so that's BS, secondly because we have more than one device connected?!?! That's absolutely asinine!!! We then asked if we could upgrade our modem, and were transferred to somebody else. After 15 minutes on hold we were told that they don't offer any other modem than the crap one they gave us! We then get transferred to customer retention but we ended up hanging up because of how frustrated we were with them. If I could give them 0 stars I would. Don't waste your time or money with this "company". We're switching back to spectrum on Monday. Never had a single issue with their customer service or internet service. The customer service is the worst I've ever experienced,my appointment time for the technician to come out to install my cable was between 8-12 when no one showed up at 12 I called and after an hour on the phone I was told they have to dig and I should be receiving a call tomorrow or Monday to reschedule appointment!! This company Frontier/ Verizon Fios is so full of CRAP. We signed up with them at Wal-Mart, we were told that we were not in a contract. We were told that we needed to pay a deposit of 111.00 and if we made 3 on time payments we would get it back. So not true. We had the service for 2 to 5 months approximately. Problems with the bill every month, they told us the WiFi could reach 100 yards, Not true. We went back to spectrum and had our Frontier disconnected so we thought. Nope. Had to call them again. And call them again, and again..... Finally they shut the service off on October 2, so we thought, we called again and was told they will cut it off on the 5th of October. We were told we would get our 111.00 dollars back at the beginning of September, nope we received another bill, for over 300.00 dollars. We call again, each time you call you are placed on hold for 30 minutes then somebody different gets on the phone and you start your process all over again. No one had the same answer for us. You know how bad a company is when you go to mail back their equipment and the lady at the post office tells you to HOLD ON TO YOUR RECEIPT OR THEY WILL WAIT 4 YEARS AND CALL YOU TO CHARGE YOU FOR THEIR EQUIPMENT. Not a good company. So now we are hoping enough people will come together and file a class action lawsuit against them. If a lawyer reads this review please contact us. I have had Verizon for years for my cell phone service. It has been great from customer service to product. I thought to switch to FiOS for internet since I thought it was connected to Verizon. I called Verizon and got transferred to Frontier. First, the rude agent asked what we used. I informed him that I unused tablets, computer, cell phone, and gaming system. He then wanted to know specific games I played and I told him it doesn't matter. He then pressed the topic and wanted to know who lived in my home. He was too fixated on what games were played and who lived in my home. He refused to give me a price quote. Called back and asked to speak to a manager. Got the run around and could not even report this worker. Enough strikes! Staying with Spectrum and will gladly pay a higher price. If I'm getting the run around and I'm trying to give them business, I can only imagine after I was a customer. You get what you pay for! read more

Fourth month (or is it 5) I'm charged for a router I returned and Verizon records show Í returned in November 2014 with late charges. I've called 3 times which is not just one phone call because I get directed to different departments. Apparently Verizon is so afraid they will lose a penny they do not give their customer service any acess to correct this. read more
