Absolutely horrible. They don't have any good deals, instead everything is priced higher than other stores, so even with their coupons and specials the price is still higher. My biggest issue is quality of products, especially food. I bought cheese on sale, which wasn't expiring for a few months. My daughter and I both ate small bits of the cheese and we both had the worst stomach pain within an hour. My poor baby was screaming in pain for good 20 min, then she vomited. I was hunched over in pain and had diarrhea. It was horrendous. This tells me any "sale" items here should not be consumed at all. I believe they're selling food items they know have gone bad or haven't been stored properly. When I called amazon, all they said was that they'll relay the information to the store. Wtf?! That's it? You caused my daughter intense pain and danger but don't want to take responsibility? They're lucky we're too busy to file lawsuit. Purchase and consume anything from amazon fresh at your own risk. Amazon Fresh store is great. At the end of every third aisle is a screen Alexa ready to assist you as to where the time you are looking for is located. Produce section is awesome because you choose your item and when you weigh it, it will print the label for you. Also they sell fresh made pizza. We enjoyed the vegetarian pizza, cheese pizza and slice Alfredo pizza with ricotta cheese which we all very delicious. They have make your own salad and other freshly foods to eat. They also have a Krispy Kreme's donut inside. I will definitely shop this store more often. Also everyone is very helpful and make you feel welcomed. read more

I was really excited to grocery shop here! I've never been to an Amazon fresh before. I'm a huge fan of whole foods and wanted to see if this was similar. Even though they carry things from the Whole Foods brand, this Store was harder to navigate. My partner and I were having a hard time finding items in the store. When we do ask someone for help they two were not able to locate the items. We found most of the items we wanted. I really wish they had more at their hot bar! I ended up getting a side salad with the nachos and Mexican rice. The team here was really friendly! The cashier who rang us up was very nice and helped us navigate using the cart that checked out all the items for us. I definitely wanna give this place another chance, but I would recommend not going in the middle of the day on a weekend. It was really busy! read more

Technology wise, Amazon Fresh is impressive. I'd give it 5/5 stars for the concept and the ability to ask Alexa where to locate items. All other aspects makes it a 3-4 star grocery store. I've been here 2x- once on a Sunday morning, and once on a Friday at 12PM. Sunday morning: 20 minute wait to get in from between Ulta and Cost Plus World Market if you want to use the Dash Carts. There's generally no wait to use the normal grocery carts. If you're wondering why it's called the Dash Cart, it's because your grocery trip is supposed to be quick-- a dash. Friday noon: No line at all. COVID-19 PRECAUTIONS: [Sunday] The first star taken off was due to people not social distancing 6 feet apart outside and inside, with no staff enforcing social distancing. There was a SLEW of grocery shoppers in the produce section, and I was battling for personal space with constant traffic in the aisles. If they were limiting capacity, then it was not obvious with the copious amount of people inside. OUTSIDE: There are cones and floor markers spaced out outside, but closer to the exterior of the Amazon Fresh store, so if you're standing near Ulta, you may have people breathing behind your neck. From my experience, people behind me kept moving up closer and closer instead of leaving space in between. There was a staff member occasionally going down the queue outside the grocery store asking if people were waiting for the Dash Carts, but not enforcing social distancing. INSIDE: If you're using a Dash Cart, you'll be directed to a staff who'll tell you to download the app and show you how to use the cart. It's pretty easy- have the item barcode face the camera as you set it down in the cart, or input the PLU number and the cart will weight the item to determine its price. You get two free paper bags in your cart, so make use of the space. Friday: Less grocery shoppers overall, but 3x the amount of staff in every other aisle restocking, fulfilling orders, or on the mobile computer stations. I took away a second star due to high prices. I compared the prices of some of the produce, meats, and shelf items I needed, and they're more expensive than my local Ralphs/Stater Bros./Trader Joes. Heck, some are more expensive than buying in bulk from Costco. Amazon Fresh is not cheap LOL. One thing I did like was the Fresh Kitchen station with the deli, sandwiches station, sushi station, pizza station, carvery, and bakery. It's a similar set up to Whole Foods Market, and the selection is more affordable. The whole store is clean too. VERDICT: Will I be back? It definitely won't be my go-to for grocery shopping. They did give a $10 off $35 coupon for each of my visit though, so I feel a little better spending slightly more knowing I'm going to get a small discount. read more

I'd say there were more employees milling about. No one was minding the one way stickers on the ground. Silly me for being a rule follower. I didn't find any great deals. Be careful with their online order service. After chatting with 5-6 different customer service people and providing all the evidence with photos. 72 hours later, I still didn't get any refund for the overcharged, missing, damaged items. They will deliver you spoiled fruits or molded veggies, so you will need to contact their customer service almost every time. At least 8 out of 10 times. When the customer service went downhill, their price is pretty high for the low quality products. It's not worth the time and frustration to get a refund. read more

Not too sure what to feel about this place. The store is clean, but not well stocked. Many shelves were bare. We came around 8pm last night and at most there were about 10 shoppers inside. Variety were pretty decent, price wise a little higher than other neighborhood grocery stores. It was pretty convenient to connect the shopping cart to the amazon account. Not sure if we want to go back if we are in the area. Personnels were helpful. What I can't tolerate was their parking lot. It has green lines instead of white lines. Today is Sunday, 6/30/2024. I love coming to Amazon Fresh because of their easy checkout system with the Smart Kart. I don't have to wait in line to get my groceries paid for and checked out. However, I have complaints about the pizza station. I tried to order a pizza today, and the lady was not very nice. She told me they are short-staffed and need to close down the station (not sure when it will reopen). She mentioned she would give me a coupon to use for my next purchase. A manager came out to speak with me, explained the situation, and gave me a coupon that expired the next day. It was clear that they didn't want to take my order and wanted me to go away. I asked if there was another coupon I could have that would not expire on 7/1. He told me this was all he had and it sounded like he just wanted me to go away. This was not what I agreed upon. I don't know about other customers but every time we have visited this location we have had a very positive experience! Usually we visit during the day on a weekday so at that time the parking is plentiful and the supermarket is not crowded at all. They have pretty much everything all the other large supermarkets have at lower prices. I am very impressed with their hot foods station including fresh pizza! We ordered a full pizza for carry out and it was delicious! Thin crust, and customizable toppings. I highly recommend. I like how the shopping carts are "smart carts" where you scan each item as you shop and when you are done you pay at your cart and you are good to go! No waiting in a checkout line! I went on both a Friday and Saturday and it wasn't busy at all. The store is clean and well organized. The staff was kind to me. I think people forget you also have to be kind to people the receive the same treatment. We talked to the cashier and told her it was our first time and she told us prime members get 20% after spending $50!!! The groceries here are wayyyyyy cheaper than what I'm used to in the Bay area. I am surprised the reviews are low ratings. I actually had a good experience here, and would love to come back for every groceries. Very clean and spacious, not crowded, very fresh veggies and fruits, nicely cut meat, trustworthy and healthy choices, and reasonable price. The cashier was very kind too. OMG, Amazon has their own supermarket now??? After reading articles and seeing from social media all the hype with the Dash cart, I had to try it!! DASH CART EXPERIENCE: Had to queue for maybe about 5 minutes during opening week. You scan the QR code on your Dash cart with your Amazon app and it basically keeps a running balance digitally! The rest of the Dash cart experience was very similar to using a regular shopping cart. Once you're ready to checkout, just pay on your Amazon app (which we needed help on from employee). Given that I've returned maybe 2 or 3 times, I've always opted for a regular shopping cart after the first time. It's a little difficult to link your Amazon app to the Dash cart if your phone has poor reception and the checkout process with the Dash cart did take a little longer than with a regular cashier transaction. All in all, the Dash cart experience is a great novelty and fun to try. ABOUT THE STORE: This Amazon Fresh looks like a supermarket with its sheer size and various departments, but they really carry only cheap brands like 365 from Whole Foods. Some of their shelves were completely empty too, not like they were sold out of a product, but they didn't have anything to stock there, which felt a little odd. About 50% of the shoppers were Amazon Fresh shoppers fulfilling online orders, which is different from what I'm used to in a regular supermarket. Would I return? Really unique and slightly freaky experience considering how far technology has gone. Items automatically scanned when loaded into a cart is something that really amazes me, and it's almost too seamless how everything works when you just have an Amazon account. The selection was OK and definitely reminded me of a mix of Ralph's and Whole Foods, but there was clearly shelves with no stock at all and the pricing was a bit on the higher side. The cart had neat functions and it's really helpful to know your shopping total even before you check out, as it could help with budgeting. I noticed the random self help corners of aisles that allow you to ask Alexa for where an item may be found. There's even a section for hot food (I only remember seeing pizza) and I imagine if you're only buying smaller items this place makes it real convenient. Overall, store was really really clean and there was a guy sweeping throughout the store as I went about looking for random things to buy. Also saw a bunch of associates loading up carts for what I assume is home delivery or orders placed ahead of time. You can choose between traditional check out or automatic check out, as I imagine traditional check out is more suited for those buying items that aren't going to fit into the cart. Only reason I wouldn't consider this a 5 star experience is because the selection could be much better and I couldn't help but think how Amazon is logging and collecting my grocery data to suggest more products for me in the future. read more

I recently got a free echo show so I want to go back and see if my shopping list will appear on the cart which would be helpful. The store itself was neat and organized and I tried a sandwich from the deli section and thought it was good, but definitely want to try the pizza. Price was pretty great actually or comparable to what I'd normally buy it at other stores. Definitely worth trying the cart if you're close by, but there are still quite a few people waiting in line and just mulling about in the store so if you're trying to avoid crowds I'd say skip this until the hype dies down. read more

After checking out the Amazon Fresh store in Woodland Hills a few weeks ago, I was excited to see that a new one opened up so much closer to me! It's located next to Ulta. PARKING: Parking is free and easy to find! TIP: If you want to use the Dash carts on the weekends, I recommend coming early in the morning (before 10am) or you will most likely end up waiting outside for upwards of an hour. The only con to coming earlier is their ready-made foods aren't available at the prepared food section. If you do not want to wait for a DASH cart, the store also has a number of traditional grocery carts for patrons to use. DASH CARTS: The Dash carts are user-friendly. As long as you have the Amazon app, you can activate the cart by accessing your personal QR code from your Amazon app's shopping cart. Paper bags are provided by Amazon. PRICES: The prices are super reasonable and competitive with nearby grocery chain stores. They also have weekly specials and everyday prices. Some consistent deals include $4.97 rotisserie chickens and $0.15 bananas. CUSTOMER SERVICE: (1) If you're ever confused or have a question about the store or the DASH cart, there's an abundance of employees either designated at the front to answer any inquiries or around the store stocking the groceries and packing Amazon Fresh deliveries. (2) The customer service is amazing! The most recent time I tried to check out, my DASH cart had issues processing my grocery order, so one of the employees gladly assisted me and gave me an additional $5 discount for the inconvenience. I finally got to check out Amazon Fresh a few days ago to see what all the hype was about (formerly located where the 'Babies R Us' was located). And - I figured I should take advantage of the $10 off $35 coupon I received in the mail :) Just learned that this location - which only opened a few weeks ago - is the second Amazon Fresh that opened in the U.S. The first location was the Woodland Hills location. I wasn't sure what to expect but the Amazon Dash carts are quite innovative! It's basically a 'Smart' shopping cart that keeps track of purchases and completes transaction. However, you can also shop traditionally as they have a few check out lanes open with cashiers. This is basically a newer, cleaner and more high-tech shopping experience. They offer all of the same mix of national and private brands, along with fresh produce, meat and seafood and an array prepared foods made fresh in store daily just like any other grocery store. They were limiting number of people in the store, so be prepared to wait. There were a lot of employees out on the floor, not sure if they were training or what, but it was overwhelming. This place sure has changed. Food quality isn't what it used to. Staff could care less. When I went in to return something, there was no one ahead of me but the employees were busy chatting it up. When I returned my items the guy could care less. No words. Then when I checked out, the guy at check out didn't say a word, didn't offer a bag or anything. I had to carry all 7 items on my own without a bag. If I didn't have to return something, I wouldn't have come here at all. I went on the second day of opening and really loved the experience especially having pretty much no new experiences during COVID. I went around 3PM on 10/23 and only waited around 15 minutes. If you do not want to wait in line, you can still go in but you will just be given a normal shopping cart and not their smart carts. When we were in line, we were instructed on how to pull up the QR code on the Amazon app. When we went in another worker showed us how to use the cart and answered all questions we had. Basically for produce you would need to enter the produce code and the cart will automatically weigh it for you, and then for all other items, you just need to put it in the cart. It was a pretty simple and seamless process. Honestly, the selection of groceries isn't as much as I expected, but they do have most things. They have some Whole Foods 365 items like frozen berries, but most items in Amazon Fresh are not organic. Now, if they update Whole Foods into this new concept, then I would be super happy. read more

Pretty cool! First of its kind with the dash cart! The line was long and it's not worth it if you are getting a ton of stuff or large stuff because the cart is small and they tell you it's supposed to be like a basket.
