The bowl was pretty watery, I assume because I complained about the person who took my order.. At first I asked for the 24oz and then changed my mind quickly for the small oz. she wouldn't let me talk while ordering, cutting me off "anything else anything else" then she was going to charge me $25 for 1 açaí bowl. I told her the price seemed to be wrong because it was only 1 bowl with protein & almond butter. She then cut me off and said "you ordered two" I said "No I asked for 1 bowl and changed the size only" she then huffed and puffed rolling her eyes and said "I need to hurry up I have people waiting" (one person waiting) I told her "I'm sorry but you need to learn to be able to work under pressure and keep good customer service skills, there's no reason to be so rude" she had a younger lady helping her and I could hear her telling the other worker "you need to hurry up. It becomes a problem to me if" etc... going off on the poor girl.. she just stayed quiet and seemed pretty uncomfortable, I felt so bad. I really hope that girl speaks up and is headed by a supervisor/owner whoever it is above the lady that helped me. read more

Came here to pickup acai bowls & juices before heading onto our hike with our pup. They had a restroom here, too which was convenient for us before we went on our hike. My sister and I ordered 2 acai bowls and 2 shakes to-go. It didn't take long to make and they had bowls to-go for the acai making it easy to eat in the car or on the road. There's also seating inside and out if you wanted to eat there. - Dragonfruit Bowl ($7.95): Delicious - but because it's probably not dragonfruit season, the portion of the dragonfruit bowl was a little bland when it got blended with the ice. Too much ice in balance with the dragonfruit. However, still tasted the dragonfruit so not too bad. The fruits on top were delicious: strawberries, coconut shavings, banana, and crunchy granola. Would order again :) - Acai Bowl ($7.95): The acai was sweeter here than other spots I've been to and lighter in color. However, still satisfying with the strawberries, banana, and crunchy granola. - Guava Shake ($7.25): This shake was a lot milkier than I expected. Next time I'm going for the smoothies instead because it tasted more milky than the guava fruit itself. However, it was still good and blended well - just wanted more guava and strawberry flavor. - Hangover ($7.25): My mom was a fan of this because of the ginger in the drink. It has avocado and ginger along with mango pulp. I barely tasted the mango and the ginger definitely overpowered the rest of the drink, but the milkiness helped balance that out. Overall, spent around $33 here, but it was convenient, tasty, and reasonably priced. Would return :) read more

I'm an East Side Santa Cruz native and alway had to make the long track to Cafe Brazil for their delicious açaí bowls! Now I can get an açaí bowl by just hopping on my bike! The staff is very friendly and kind. Not knowingly, they gave me a birthday present by staying open an extra five minutes for me to pick up my bowl! The only complaint I have is they seem to now put less açaí and more granola in their bowls. So now I just have to request more strawberries and less granola. Really good. The juices and smoothies are awesome and the hot pepper sauce is also really good. The only bowl I've had here is the Gallo pinto and it was a good portion with a good price. I had the berry, açaí, Apple juice based smoothie and they allowed me to swap apple for pineapple for a slight charge. HORRIBLE experience. My partner ordered a salmon salad and his salmon was raw. He politely asked to have fully cooked and they came back a few minutes later (after throwing it in the microwave another minute) with his same plate and piece of fish. The fish was STILL very undercooked - to the point it was not edible. He asked the woman at a counter for a refund and she said no. She was extremely rude and would not give us her manager's information. This woman should not be in customer service and I can't believe the owners let their staff treat customers this way, let alone serve raw meat. What a super chill gem I stumbled upon on my last trip to Santa Cruz! I was sunbathing at Davenport when I had this random craving for a smoothie, looked around for somewhere close, I found Amazon Juices, mainly because I saw that they had guava smoothies on their menu. Total sucker for anything with guava, my fav. The cafe itself is pretty small, they sell a variety of things, so not just smoothies! They also have acai bowls, rice bowls, sandwiches, salads, burritos, breakfast, and so much more! Tried their guava smoothie and it tasted so fresh, the guava flavor was very much present. I would come back here VERY often to try other things on the menu. read more

It was hard to find street parking because there were only a few spots in the front. The place is pretty small and has a small seating area. It looks like a place where you'd go to order a quick meal to take to go. I got their Jr. Acai bowl and it wasn't that great.. The acai was really icy and didn't taste like acai. When it melted it started to taste like water. It wasn't as good as the one from Cafe Brazil which was a huge disappointment. Came in today saturday october 23rd to pick up an online order. After watching the guy on register speak rude to the customers in front of us i contemplated leaving and not paying for my order. They were short staffed which is fine, it happens. The guy on smoothie bar apologized for the inconvenience. He was nice. The angry register guy in the canna cruz hat should not be working in customer service because he definitely has no social skills. He was obviously annoyed and never even looked up at us when he spoke. After he asked what we wanted we told him we had an online order which he quickly replied we never got one. Huge lie because the order went through but im assuming he probably just disregarded it because they were short staffed and he doesnt care about the business. Retrain this man how to speak to humans like a human and maybe ill be back. The other workers are usually so nice to us. Big thumbs down.
