This is got to be one of the best kept secret in all of Pennsylvania. We went there for dinner and I was awesomely surprised at how excellent the food was. Went there the next day for breakfast, which is served all day and also once again, we're extremely impressive. Sometimes your expectations far out weigh reality... On some very strong recommendations my family decided to give Ambridge Italian Villa a try for dinner. We got there around dinner time and found a seat quickly in the limited seating dining room. After perusing the large menu we made some choices and waited. Waiting seemed to be the word of the night because we, along with every other patron that night were constantly waiting for someone to serve us or help. I always try to be patient when dealing with any business but this night the service was by far the slowest and least attentive I have ever seen. After waiting for over 20 minutes for water and another agonizing 15 minutes for someone to take our order my patience was wearing very thin. Our orders were finally placed and in the time before we finally got our food we had time to observe the operations as well as the other guests. There were only 2 other tables occupied and both tables seemed displeased with their service or lack of service as well, I even heard a few complaints from people picking up take away. Once our food finally showed up I was even less enthused. Spaghetti and meatballs were not very good, the pasta was over cooked and the sauce was very plain. As we ate we noticed nobody was bussing any of the empty tables at this point and we saw people come in to just turn around because they could not find a clean table. Overall we were very disappointed since this place came highly rated by some relatives of ours. Food was bland and not prepared well, service was absolutely atrocious and prices did not reflect the quality you got. I was very disappointed in "The Pasta Mill." I got angel hair pasta with red sauce and meatballs. If you are going to call yourself an "Italian Villa," at least spend the time to make your own meatballs and don't serve frozen meatballs. I also had to add jarred marinara sauce I happened to have at home because the pasta was soooo dry. The sauce itself was also underwhelming and tasted like it came out of a bag. The garlic bread was not toasted at all and was just a thick dinner roll with something oily and non-garlicky on it. I also did not receive the soup that was supposed to come with my meal. Dare I say this mom-and-pop Greek/Italian shop is among the best Beaver County has to offer!? We decided to sample a little bit of everything on the menu. The prices are right and the portions are decent. I chose the Pittsuburgh Burger, giving me the opportunity to try both their traditional burger and their gyro meat and homemade tzatziki sauce. Needless to say, everything was big on flavor and I'll definitely be returning to try out their traditional gyro soon! If good food and good prices aren't enough of a reason to rate a place with five stars, throwing awesome customer service in will certainly seal the deal! I actually found this location using Yelp! and chose to order online via EatStreet. I arrived 15 minuets later, as they were just finishing my order. As they were packaging my food, the friendly server brought out my order of breadsticks to ask if they were to dark. Before I could answer, she apologized, stating that they were going to redo the order since they were not at the level of quality that they would like. I was more then happy to wait an extra 5 min and was ecstatic with how they were able to ward off a bad review by being upfront and honest, using quality communication and a willingness to correct a mistake in lieu of ignoring it! The gyros here are my absolute favorite! So, when my daughter wanted gyros for her graduation party, there was only one place it thought of and they did not disappoint. We ordered the 25 gyro platter. It came with a tray of warm pitas. A tray full of SO MUCH LAMB. Another tray full of onions, lettuce, and tomatoes. Then, more tzatziki than you could imagine. We also got two orders of their delicious grape leaves. I love them hot or cold but we chose cold since it was a picnic. The teenagers scarfed this. Just enjoyed the Lemon Chicken with Angel Hair Pasta, tossed salad and roll. The chicken was cooked to perfection and very moist with a delicious lemon butter sauce. I will be ordering this entree again. Also, I was amazed reading the menu and had a difficult time trying to decided what to order and prices are more than reasonable. AMBRIDGE ITALIAN VILLA IS A JOKE!!!!!!!!! My girlfriend and I went to dine in at the villa on Wednesday October 16th. Every single table in the small dining room was disgustingly dirty....mind you the dining room is no larger than the average living room in somebody's house. After we finally sat down and the server cleaned the table off, but she refused to clean the disgusting tables around us. I ordered stuffed shells and my girlfriend ordered an omelette. My stuffed shells came with a salad and I simply asked "no tomato". 45 minutes pass we have NOTHING at our table and my girlfriend asked to have just an extra side of sausage instead of having home fries or hash browns. The server rudely said to my girlfriend that they "couldn't do that". And then I had asked if my salad was coming. She goes "oh we ran out of lettuce." What kinda restaurant runs out of lettuce?????????? Finally after my horribly disgusting dirt filled salad showed up, I had lost my appetite and my girlfriend and I cancelled our order and left. We will not be returning to ambridge Italian villa nor will be ordering them for delivery again either. Which is another thing......TWO TIMES we've ordered the villa for delivery. Both times it took almost two and a half hours. First time for two gyros which were soggy and disgusting, second time was for a meatball bread bowl which was filled with watery flavorless sauce and meatballs with the texture and toughness of styrofoam. You'd think we would learn by that point but nope. Had to have the absolute DISPLEASURE of their absolutely horrid dine in service experience. If you want good Italian food. Go spend your money elsewhere and save yourself the headaches and disappointment and ruining of your appetite. read more

They have a new computer system this day but that doesn't account for why our order couldn't be taken and drinks brought out. We were the only dine-in customers. The food was okay. What a great way to mix Greek and Italian food! Every time I've ordered from here not only do I receive amazing service from the owner and staff, the food is equally as awesome. The menu is huge and you will find something you like. I'm not a regular gyro person so I always get the chicken one. So good! Very flavorful and the homemade sauce is awesome. The Villa also turned me on to grape leaves. These are a must if you stop by! Not many places actually stuff them with meat (unless you visit a very authentic Greek restaurant) so grab them here while you can. I'm now obsessed! For dessert, try their homemade rice pudding. It's done just right... not too sweet or filling so you don't feel like you've gained a million pounds after eating. Prices are all very reasonable. This is a Beaver County gem! read more

I will never return to this restaurant. Here's why. I've been here three times in the past month. I tried many different menu items most were good. The reason I will never go back is they overcharged me on several items; when brought to the attention at the cashier, she laughed and said "that's how we do things". I asked for a manager, and the manager (sweaty and messy) said the prices on their website are old, and these are the new prices. They refused to honor their advertised price, did not apologize. My overall concern is that if they are doing this, how else are they cutting corners, a grave concern in the food service indus I enjoyed eating everything that I was served except for the wings. The "fresh garlic" wings were disgusting. They were tiny, did NOT have fresh garlic (jarred/processed garlic), and had an off flavor. I've had the wings from Duss Ave Café across the street, and they are out of this world. If you want wings get them from Duss Ave. Café. I did enjoy the pizza, the Spanakopita, Greek salad, garden salad, Greek dressing (a bit salty) and chicken & mashed potato dinner at this place, but I can't get past being way overcharged. I have not been in the bathrooms at the restaurant, but the dining room is outdated and needs a deep cleaning. Also the signage in the front of the restaurant and the general approach/curb repeal is neglected. Not the type of restaurant I would normally go into; a Groupon encouraged me to give it a try. My husband and I went here today for a late lunch or early dinner. I ordered a grilled chicken salad. My husband had a meatball Stromboli. They used frozen little tiny meatballs that one would use for wedding soup. Why?!? They were absolutely gross! I ended up paying 15 dollars to get my salad the way I wanted it. I order from here a few times a year, used to be weekly. I understand that it takes a hour to prepare the food and deliver it. I waited 2 hours today for a salad. The fries were ice cold and the bags were soaking wet. I called and the person that answered the phone was sweet but not helpful at all. Opened the containers and the orders were wrong I am allergic to onions and peppers. The bags were mislabled. Good thing I looked. Their gyros are good. Anything else you order (spaghetti, salad, ANYTHING) will taste faintly like gyro. Not sure exactly how that happens but it does. I've found that in the past couple of years their staff have become exceedingly rude. I can handle rushed, busy, stressed, etc. Rude is unnecessary though. The prices are never consistent (and if you ask about the discrepancy, prepare to have the phone slammed down on you as you wait on hold for a length of time). The delivery times AND CHARGES are outrageous. Fries are limp and wet, at times almost raw feeling-which is impressive for shoestring type fries. It's just not the same as it once was. Really hoping something's done about the quality and customer service because this place used to be a family staple. read more

Every time I order from this place my food is garbage I've ordered Alfredo pasta which came with garlic bread and a salad Garlic bread is DRENCHED in butter it's disgusting Salad is terrible crap lettuce And I've ordered pesto pasta with chicken from here and it didn't taste like pesto it tasted like pasta water barely any sauce pasta over cooked I had 4 tiny strips of chicken that was way OVERCOOKED as well and the garlic bread and salad was the same as before drenched in butter and the lettuce was awful I've ordered a hoagie from here as well and it took them 40 minutes to prepare it and it was so oily and poorly made just like the other times. Updated to add two stars. Things have gotten better here. Food is more consistent and delivery time has greatly improved. I order here more often now. Hopefully things stay the same. Old Updated Review-Italian Villa is going downhill. We no longer order from here, only as a last resort. Deliver takes 1+ hour no matter what, food is never consistent, rude employees and food quality is just not there. Maybe we have bad luck there but until things get better we will order from somewhere else. read more

This was the first time my family ordered from this restaurant. We decided on ordering a "family deal" that came with 2 pizzas, a dozen wings, 2 greek salads and 2 liter for about $28, which is a fair deal for the amount we got. We were told the order would be ready to pick up in 30 mins. We got there a bit early and literally waited over an hour for our food. When we got there our pizzas were already made and sitting on a shelf and by the time we got home they were cold. Not sure why it took so long to make 2 salads and some wings. I will say i did enjoy the greek salad...very simple but it was good in my opinion. I didn't have any wings but i was told that they were quite spicy despite ordering mild buffalo. The pizzas were made with what seems to be a premade frozen crust and as you can imagine, it tasted quite cheap. Overall, the food was okay, just nothing special. Worst food I've had in a long time. The pizza was undercooked and smothered with precooked greasy onions. The Italian hoagie had, in my opinion, an odd choice of cold cuts on it. The roast beef on the hoagie tasted like it was going bad. The wings however weren't bad, but everything else was terrible. My husband and myself ended up throwing away 75% of what we ordered. I came for the gyro but I have to say as excellent as the gyro was, the highlight of the meal was the bread pudding!!! It absolutely stole the show and would be the reason for a return trip. I'm certain that based on the bread pudding I would be delighted with any of the homemade desserts. read more
